Expensify could save some presets that you use, like I always need to add the same tag to my expenses and I'd love for that to be a default functionality. Also could allow me to configure some mapping, like food receipts always go to the same category, etc, save some regularly used descriptions, etc. It seems like the category detection isn't consistent. I've also had some issues with the receipt scanning reading numbers wrong either for dates or amounts which then adds flags/alerts for my reviewers that make it seem like I am putting the wrong amount in. I find Expensify very intuitive and love the fantastic receipt matching and workflow creation. It significantly reduces the time I spend creating expense reports. It also makes booking flights easy by keeping credit card and frequent flier information organized. The automatic receipt matching saves me hours of manually searching for matches, which I had to do in Concur. The interface on the desktop is very clunky, very confusing, very hard to use, and in my opinion, is poorly designed. There are so many basic needs that for whatever reason don't work. Anyone leaving a review about how great Expensify is needs to get their heads checked. This is weak software that lacks basic ease-of-use features on the interface. Want to add expenses to a report? Can't do it from within the report itself, or at least the search function doesn't work within the report. Accidentally use the wrong dates when setting up a report? Too bad. I am not from an accounts background, but Expensify makes expense tracking simple for me. I can add bills, choose categories, and check reports without any accounting knowledge.

It helps me keep all my work expenses in one place without making things complicated. I work as a Dietician and Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, and also create health education content, so I have regular work-related spending.
