Holding cryptocurrencies in exchanges can be a risky affair as these exchanges tend to get hacked or get shutdown due to regulatory burden, so I am a huge fan of storing my cryptocurrencies in my local machine. Before I stumbled upon Exodus on reddit, I used to have 6 different wallets for six different cryptocurrencies I owned. But after my tryst with exodus, it has been the only application that I have been using to store all my cryptocurrencies in one place and the multi cryptocurrency support in exodus is the feature that I like the best about Exodus. The major drawback about exodus is that it does not let you extract your private keys out of the app. I hope this shortcoming is fixed in the upcoming versions. The biggest drawback of this desktop wallet is that it doesn't support P2SH Bitcoin addresses (starting with 3). One of the reasons being that if a user sends BCH to a BTC address starting with `3` they cannot recover it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is not necessary to add new cryptocurrencies, it is limited to the most common cryptocurrencies, and for new ones that are not coming out, this limits users to trade with currencies such as Petro, for example.
