I really enjoy the rules engine in Sapio LIMS. It's very accessible and allows for a lot of detailed configuration without needing to code, which is something that doesn't exist in other LIMS systems. It helps with granularity and makes the templates I create for experiments configurable and flexible. I find it allows for customization that is almost infinite. I find the rules engine is difficult to conquer, and there's not as much support for Sapio LIMS as I would like. There's some support through being able to contact the Sapio architects and some portal videos, but compared to other software I've used, which offered courses for certification, Sapio LIMS lacks these resources, aside from a boot camp they offer once or twice a year. Also, the initial setup of LIMS for my lab is quite difficult, though I do have help from our solutions architect and instructional videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Thank you, Brett, for your detailed and constructive feedback. We’re pleased the rules engine and no-code configurability are enabling granular, flexible experiment templates. We acknowledge that mastering the rules engine and initial system setup can be a challenge. We are expanding structured training, certification-style content, and community resources to strengthen enablement and ongoing support. Your insights directly inform these efforts.
