It provides safe and secure SFTP for our business needs and I did not have to deal with setting up an internal SFTP server. **What do you dislike about ExaVault?** There is nothing I dislike about this product. It meets our needs and has other features that we make good use of while servicing our customers. We are happy with this product. **What problems is ExaVault solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our payroll department required an SFTP service to safely and securely exchange payroll and insurance data with other organizations. It's also very easy to setup a ftp client if you want to have more of a desktop experience, like i do. **What do you dislike about ExaVault?** If i have to say something i dislike, if someone uses the browser version and want to download multiple files, it alwaya compresses the files into a zip first. THe compression can take a long time, because of how many files there can be. The progress bar can be 0% for a long time. Long enough for my users to think the browser would freeze on them. If possible, i would use a FTP client instead of using the browser. **What problems is ExaVault solving and how is that benefiting you?** Alot of clients have large amount of files to give us or we have to give them. It's very easy for users to share a link through exavault. We have office365 and even though it has similar capabilities, i find my users understanding using exavault much easier. ### 3. We supply FTP hosting for many of our clients. Exavaults pricing for the FTP hosting service is the best in the market. Exavault allows unlimited users, customers and folders at a fair price. In the past, we have used several different FTP hosting sites, and after a year or so, they all raised their pricing to the point they were no longer economical as a vendor. **What do you dislike about ExaVault?** No FTP hosting service meets everyone's specific needs. We find Exavault a bit tiresome in the way they handle the user setup, but it is still very usable. The one thing that would be helpful is a notepad attached to each user to hold vital information. **What problems is ExaVault solving and how is that benefiting you?** The real value for us is the ease of accessing FTP folders by our clients. By providing direct link URLs to the end user, we have seen a significant drop in support time to help users utilize FTP folders for file transfers. ### 4. As soon as I could log in I was able to start transferring data with absolutely no training. The different option related to sharing data are excellent and give us the choice on how we want to manage our data shares. **What do you dislike about ExaVault?** We are located relatively far away from where the data center is - on a completely different continent - so we found that data transfer speed was initially challenging but as our internet connections have improved locally we are finding it easier and easier to use ExaVault and the speed issue is almost non-existent. **What problems is ExaVault solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've managed to solve the problem of multi-stakeholder collaboration and document sharing. While there are other systems on the market, we found that Exavault helped us to scale up quickly for our project need. A central control point and easy distribution made the choice very easy for us. Our biggest issue trying to get a sftp solution was security and compliance (We are a bank), not that other platforms don't have it, but there was no one to get us the answers that we need. Exavault's API is the best part, they built it to do everything their UI does. It enabled us to tightly integrate the platform to the point where most of our users never realize they are using a service. **What do you dislike about ExaVault?** For a while, I could not get multiple webhook instances setup due to the plan we were on, we ended up upgrading for the same cost after asking about it. There is also no granular options for requiring MFA, we had to cut all users over at one time. **What problems is ExaVault solving and how is that benefiting you?** Exavault gives us a single platform to facilitate customer uploads via SFTP or UI. This is all via a cron job, so a good API and reliable SFTP access was essential. Exavault ticked both those boxes and hasn't given me a single issue in years. Communication with regard to API changes has been only what was necessary and everything that was necessary, so I have a clear timescale for my dev roadmap and know what needs to be done (and the timescale for moving off legacy API calls is generous, too). **What do you dislike about ExaVault?** For us, none - it has done what we wanted and never given me a headache, which is more than I can say for a lot of cloud services. **What problems is ExaVault solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have a requirement for suppliers to supply us data files via SFTP which we then hoover into our systems using API calls, and also the reverse, where we upload files to ExaVault via API for suppliers to access via SFTP. Because this is all automated there is no manual downloading to be done, and similarly our suppliers just have to set up a cron job to upload to us via SFTP credentials that we supply. ### 7. And it is easy for our back-end to be set up to send and receive files to Exavault. And you do not have to be a technical resource to be able to set up the integrations. It's great! **What do you dislike about ExaVault?** There have been only a few instances over the years of using Exavault where there have been unexpected downtimes on the Exavault side that created issues for us sending/receiving files to/from clients. However, the status updates that are posted on the site during the outages are helpful for us managing the communications and expectations with our clients. **What problems is ExaVault solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a SAAS company that needs to exchange sensitive data files with our clients. Exavault provides us with a secure FTP site to be able to do that. Folder operations are straightforward when pruning and grafting. Has been rock solid and I've never experienced an outage (touch wood). We use some of the api and private key aspects and they were simple to set up and maintain. The special link creation with expiration is very handy for one off file sharing. **What do you dislike about ExaVault?** The only issue I have is with really large files and the Web Interface. It is not as fast as a native FTP and/or as reliable. (I am talking 10Gb+ files). So best use a proper FTP client if doing very large transfers. Not a biggie, you just need to remember to do it when uploading say a vmware OVF template or something and letting the other end know the same for downloading it. **What problems is ExaVault solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using it for interface files between various applications in the cloud and onprem, general IT sharing of files, images etc. It provides us with a bit of an airgap on our systems that we don't have to worry about (is it patched, are their any vulnerabilities) ### 11. Very reasonable cost. Permits us to include firm logo and colors, which reinforces the brand, has professional look, and gives clients more comfort that files are coming from the firm. Like that the domain clients see includes our firm's domain. **What do you dislike about ExaVault?** Nothing that I dislike. However, doesn't have as many features as some competitive services. However, (1) we do not need any more features than what ExaVault offers and (2) don't want to pay the extra price that would come with more comprehensive solutions. **Recommendations to others considering ExaVault:** When we started our law firm after leaving an extremely large, well-run firm, we spent a lot of time (much more than I originally expected) researching and demoing fresh, best-in-class but reasonably priced software solutions to make us as efficient as possible with an excellent client experience. Key software solutions included practice management, estate plan doc generation, title insurance / real estate closing, document management, and file transfers. Our file transfer solution (Exavault) was by far the best, out-of-the-gate solution. Easy to setup and utilize, did exactly what we needed (and nothing more that would add complexity to the interface or process), and well priced (although the pricing has gone up since we first started using them). Other solutions either took much more effort to get it where we wanted it to be or never met our standards and expectations. **What problems is ExaVault solving and how is that benefiting you?** With our transactional law and estate planning practice, we routinely need to send and receive large files, such as closing binders, large sets of loan documents, and schedules and exhibits to business purchase agreements. This allows us to send and receive these large files without emails bouncing or worrying about security. I've also found that clients receiving emails or notices via ExaVault don't have issues with the emails/notices getting stuck in spam. Even our older, less technologically savvy clients have never had a problem receiving or uploading files via ExaVault. ### 21. It offers FTP, SFTP and HTTP/S file transfers and has a clean web GUI that can be used to upload/download files. They have excellent support which responds within a very short space of time to requests for assistance and their pricing is extremely competitive compared to other solutions. **What do you dislike about ExaVault?** There is nothing to dislike about Exavault. **What problems is ExaVault solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have been using Exavault to handle transferring hourly files from our systems to our customers/suppliers' systems. They can assign permissions, set notifications and negotiate inbound and outbound traffic confidently. Their support has always been very responsive, even though we're not a huge client. Recently they were able to restore our entire transfer structure after a new employee mistakenly deleted everything. Their service has allowed us to be highly aware of customer traffic and react immediately to their needs. **What do you dislike about ExaVault?** We wish they had more capability in customizing notifications and site messaging, but that's a small price to pay for their stability. Truly the best thing about ExaVault is the simplicity of everything. Other services have additional features, but for our simple use-case, ExaVault has been perfect. **What do you dislike about ExaVault?** We didn't require that many users, but the base tier doesn't give you much. Otherwise, there wasn't much to dislike and found all the feature helpful and intuitive. **What problems is ExaVault solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a secure file transfer service for our clients to drop large, important files. Many clients prefer FTP, so ExaVault was the best of both worlds, and we were able to meet any file transfer needs. ### 26.
