We need to routinely and quickly share files securely with non-technical clients, and this is far and away the easiest solution I've found. **What do you dislike about ExaVault?** I recognize that this isn't helpful, but I don't have anything I dislike about it. It's well designed, intuitive, and well priced, so I'm a fan. **Recommendations to others considering ExaVault:** If you need an easy, secure, well-priced, FTP solution with a GUI, stop where you are and just use this. **What problems is ExaVault solving and how is that benefiting you?** I needed an easy way to share via SFTP to nontechnical clients, both for regulatory reasons and business process reasons. I'm fairly technical, but not so much that I'd be using my own non-GUI FTP or SFTP myself, and that wouldn't work for my clients either. This makes it essentially as easy as using dropbox to share files, but meets the regulations for security and simplicity for a good client experience. ### 8. As a non-profit organization, we are pretty sensitive to price, but data security was also important because we're using the SFTP server as part of ETL processes that pass data from one cloud system to another. Exavault pricing is low enough to keep us from managing our own vm with service packs and patches and we felt we could trust the security. The web based interface was of secondary importance to us, but we're already finding ways to put it to use. Having control over the user experience is very important to us and the user doesn't even have to download the software to use it, making it very friendly. The permissions are also very seamless and easy to manage and function well with existing file transfer protocols. Another useful feature is that you can sign up for notifications when someone has accessed the file which is helpful with tracking. The product is also more efficient and secure than dropbox which puts our organization at ease when sharing files externally. The product is very well designed and appropriately developed. We hope to continue to use this product for a long time. The user interface is also very intuitive and the training required is minimal, if any at all. **What do you dislike about ExaVault?** Another con is that you only get one notification when someone first views the file but not repeatedly. Getting repeat notifications would be helpful. Improving the log in functionality would really make this product over the top. This doesn't impact usability however. We haven't use the customer service system so I can not comment on that at the time. As an administrator you can set the time of expiry and validation which is a great. We have a cancellation procedure that we use ExaVault to send customer files to and we set a time limit when the link for them to download expires. The customer can then download and we can use the report as evidence the customer has all their files back and what they need. **What do you dislike about ExaVault?** There are sometimes limits to the file size you can transfer using the Web so have to use FileZilla.
