"Good in places, but could be better"

What do you like best?

Ability to produce an Excel report that can then be customised to your requirements. The Service Opportunities module is quite good along with vacation planning.

What do you dislike?

The invoicing and scheduling suck. This needs serious attention. Also, the support we have received has not been the greatest. When problems are reported, they take a very long time to get resolved, if at all in some cases. For the scheduling, the display is not very user friendly and you cannot display all technicians without having to scroll down the screen. When you invoice, it is very difficult to remove multiple entries if you need to make changes.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Look at other solutions. I am sure there are better options in the marketplace

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have moved away from paper worksheets and our technicians now enter all information via iPad. This means the customer receives an electronic copy of the worksheet once completed. Previously we had an administrator entering the information manually, so this task has now been eliminated allowing them to concentrate on other tasks.

"Just what we needed"

What do you like best?

I like the organizational aspect best. I like to be able to see everything in order within my workflow. I can completed what I need to first without losing sight of all the other task I need to complete. I also like being able to send notes back and forth with other team members in one workflow . Nothing gets lost and no need to search through emails.

What do you dislike?

I don't dislike much. There seems to be more benefits then dislikes.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Keeping everything organized, things can get pretty hectic around here. Emails can get lost in a pile but here you can keep everything for one job in one central place for everyone to view.

"Easy way to follow up work activities"

What do you like best?

You can administrate your work, is not necesary to remember everything if creates workflows to follow up your activities and can focus only in what you have to do because is so clear who is responsible of each stage.

What do you dislike?

If people don´t do their work, workflows get stuck and you can't finish them, if are not clear enough no one gets responsible. Is hard to older people use this kind of softwares.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Is important that the company has a clear vision of what they need and the way that they want to achieve the goals and who is going to be part of the project, so the software can get the right direction.

Delegate work, people responsible for specific activities, follow up workflows, assing activities to others, keep record from customer demands.

"Customizable process software"

What do you like best?

It is relatively easy to start working with Synergy. We use it as our key CRM system. The software is easy to configure, and easy to use if you choose for one of the standard platforms, like the CRM template. We use the same Synergy solution for client service.

What do you dislike?

The client looks a bit old. The software can be used web-based when you contract a special Synergy hosting partner. We used the standard edition. That is not longer supported it seems. The Enterprise edition is still available.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Check how long Exact will continue the support and maintenance on Synergy. A completely web-based system might be a good alternative for Synergy

Complete CRM. All email traffic, invoices, foloow up activitiets, appointments, invoices etc.

"Great Platform"

What do you like best?

It is easy to set up customers, create accounts, run reports, update information. The integration with our MRP system is seamless. It is a useful product, that is fairly straighforward to utalize.

What do you dislike?

There really isn't anything I dislike, sometimes locating or setting up reports can be a challenge, but it isn't a major problem

Synergy is a great product and integrates well with other platforms.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use Synergy to manage or customer database, as a plugin to our MRP system. It is easy for our sales staff to use and understand.

"Easily follow your next track"

What do you like best?

Is so customisable but not everybody knows how, you will need program skills and Database knowledge.

About the interface, is clear and clean, to final users there is not hard to find the buttons.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes is necessary be notified of the activities you should do and EXACT SYNERGY for himself don't have the ability to send emails.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Evaluate the installation before starts.

Put special attention to the database, grows so fast.

Depending the number of users the LAN can be saturated.

Exact Synergy let you know exactly in what part of the administrative process the procedure is, what should be done and how is the responsable.

It pull the information to fluid all over the Company.

"Our New software"

What do you like best?

We have upgraded to this software, we are still learning about all of the potential it has to offer us. More information linked in all of our databases , as it relates to our customers.

What do you dislike?

Haven't found anything as of yet. Still implementing and verifying information.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

To have information available as we are speaking with customers. Will be a quicker way to confirm customer's information. Instead of having to search for it.

"It is good for Service Dispatching."

What do you like best?

- The service dispatching is good for being linked to emailing users

- The dispatch board is easy for tracking service technician hours and availability

- The search function does not work very well.

"Small Business User"

What do you like best?

Fairly easy learning curve, not hard to get up and running coming in without experience.

What do you dislike?

A bit less intuitive to setup than some of the bigger names. Less simple to export data for data visualization tools.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Manages our MRP. Took a good amount of setup and training, but does the job relatively well. Not bad, good integration.

"A lot to be desired"

What do you like best?

Its integration with Exact Globe has to be its best selling point. They have produced plugins with Outlook and the office suites. Sales can have traceability on customer interaction. They have also created a mobile app to work alongside.

What do you dislike?

The Installation is clunky at best, really the installation currently does nothing in terms of IIS and even having their installers come to our office, we still encountered issue after issue. So without fail you end up with it being installed successfully but no website to access. Its integration with Exact Globe works great... unless you have multiple databases and then your in trouble, they produced a tool called CMDM (extra cost) to deal with this but don't expect that to work without some serious input of cash flow (their installer took around 2-3 weeks solid to perform this integration and we still have issues but we have gone live anyway).

Please do not try this without using your own test environment.

If you have Exact Globe, you many still want to consider a complete overhaul and move on.

We have our Sales department now operating with this CRM tool, I now have 2 less programs to administer, so it must be a good thing right? Not over-ally convinced.

"A great all-in-one tool for manufacturing, after extensive customization"

What do you like best?

Exact Synergy is an attempt to be an all-in-one solution. It's fit for use in a manufacturing environment, but requires a lot of customization. It's not an "out of the box" system.

What do you dislike?

It's not particularly user-friendly and the user interface leaves a lot to be desired.

Exact Synergy was used in conjunction with Exact MAX to manage customer data, document control processes, HR workflows, and more.

"CRM HR Document Management in one tool. "

What do you like best?

Exact Synergy is a great product with broad capability. It enables the usually hidden back office functions and data to be easily exposed to front office users. E.g. the financial state of an account is shown to a Sales Exec so he knows what to expect when he picks up the phone to call a customer.

The product has a flexible workflow engine which underpins functions such as calendars and opportunity management.

Its major draw back is it is relatively unknown product with limit user group outside the Netherlands.

What do you dislike?

Limited user groups and external integration to other ERPs.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Plan your implementation and design workflow working directly with Expericened users.
