Dealt with large data sets quite well and performance was quite good. Decent options for graphs and visual aids. **What do you dislike about eviews?** Not a lot of customisability or variability of the functions. It was quite difficult to change some stuff about a test in particular for unit root testing - it was all very rigid, which I suppose helps ease of use but I would have liked easier workarounds. **What problems is eviews solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used eviews to analyse time series data and fit VAR and ARMA models and then compare the outputs of the results. Very good at storing models and forecasting and comparing. ### 2. It was very good experiance. It gives user friendly work space . And accurancy of last decimal point is very good comparing with other platforms. **What problems is eviews solving and how is that benefiting you?** Most probebly used it for time series analysis. ### 3. You can build different types of models. **What do you dislike about eviews?** The user interface is outdated and should be improved. The software works well with time series datasets, but is less efficient with panel datasets. It is also less popular than Stata. **Recommendations to others considering eviews:** Eviews would be the go-to programme for time series analysis. However, Stata is easier to use, more common across economic consulting firms, which means that more people are able to read and to interpret the coding files and results. **What problems is eviews solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used eviews in my econometrics course at university: worked well with time series analysis. It is powerful in performing data analysis. Files can be easily imported and edited. User friendly, mainly thanks to the drop-down menu and to the help system. ### 4. Benefits are that I can be sure the regression being run is correct. ### 5. It shows a full interface and only shows what is required of it with prompt results. **What do you dislike about eviews?** The software windows seems old school, means like that of an ancient software or computer program. It has very formal and bossy interface. **What problems is eviews solving and how is that benefiting you?** Majority the descriptive analysis and research surveys especially the quantitative data analysis and interpretation of these results. ### 8. I found the ebooks feature quite helpful. Customer Support is great and once you get used to the software, it really solves all your analysis and calculations in literally seconds! **What do you dislike about eviews?** One of the major disadvantage of using this software is that this only works on Windows and not on iOS or Linux. Being a Mac user, I have to switch laptops every time I have to use Eviews for my work. Its extremely difficult at start, setting up and using it may be a hassle and it took me a lot of time in perfecting the use of this application as well. Even face problems when exporting to pdf. Frequent updating is required. **Recommendations to others considering eviews:** I would recommend this to people who are involved in the finance industry, specially those who are in the same field as I am. Being an analyst requires a lot of calculations and forecasting. Eviews can help with all of this **What problems is eviews solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being an analyst at a Financial institution, I use Eviews almost everyday a it helps me in general statistical and econometric analyses. It can even run time series estimation, forecast data and due other econometric analyses including panel data analysis or cross-section analysis, all of which is very crucial in my field of work.
