Although I didn't find the interface to be immediately intuitive, with a few brief lessons (maybe 15 minutes total), I was quickly blown away by the ease and speed with which I was able to review, categorize, sort, and share documents. I haven't used the AI features in any of my cases, but my spouse's firm recently made the shift from Relativity to Everlaw, and she spoke very highly of the AI functionality for augmenting document review capabilities. Slowness when the database becomes big, which is a common database problem. Some tech savvy users may have surprises using Everlaw, because they use other platforms and assume Everlaw functions the same way. Everlaw is easier to use compared to other review systems. Its processes are integrated into the platform, so there’s less preparation required when running productions. Navigating the searches and their setup on the main page can feel awkward, making it difficult to find a specific search. Personally, I find the tree folder method for searches to be much more efficient and user-friendly. This reviewer does not work for Everlaw and will not accept anything other than to express my personal opinion of the software. A company is defined by it's leadership that is reflected by the staff they hire to accomplish stated goals. The goals of Everlaw have had an historical affect in the legal industry that will be progressively recognized and this is what I like best about Everlaw. This company is where technology is benefitting users because the goal is to use technology to bring about the efficient use of stored knowledge of industry experts. Because Everlaw is groundbreaking in what it allows users to accomplish, it is important to carefully consider whether certain actions should be taken. This is not a flaw of Everlaw itself, but it is a caveat that should be kept in mind when working with such a powerful tool. Everlaw is one of the most deceptive pieces of advanced software I have had the pleasure to work with. This is meant to be a positive statement of fact in this regard; while being able to be quickly deployed, fairly easy to learn, very powerful, yet cost effective, the learning curve can be equally as steep as one wishes to delve. I like how user friendly and feature rich the platform is for admins and reviewers. Attorney reviewers we work with really enjoy the platform and find it easy to navigate and promotes efficient review. The only downside I have really encoutered is that Relativity users are usually not likely to have heard about the platform and are reluctant to try it. Also there are not as many third-party vendors supporting the platform if we needed extra project management or contract reviewer help.
