I highly enjoy how the granular control of Everbridge delivers messages. The ability to define contact groups according to department, place, and position is extremely helpful. The in depth reporting is also an immense advantage; I am able to quickly view those who got messaged and concur on the same. The mobile app is also an easy send and receive alert app to me. The interface is functional, but it may need a design refresh to place users in a better position. In the past, we depended on email and phone calls as the communication strategy, which was rather slow and untrustworthy. We are now able to make specific alerts with real time updates regarding building closures and safety measures so that everyone is kept informed during a storm. We have had some experience of local outages of utility that have affected regions of campuses. Prior to Everbridge, the process of organizing and sharing information concerning such disruptions was manual and could be delayed by a few days due to the use of emails and oral communication.
