Evanreads is reading comprehension software designed to improve retention through structured, paced sessions. It breaks reading materials into manageable sections, addressing cognitive challenges that make re-reading ineffective. The software trains the brain to engage with written content while offering features like line-by-line focus mode, pace tracking, and optional text-to-speech functionality. AI-powered quizzes test comprehension using retrieval practice, proven to enhance retention better than passive review. The platform supports PDFs, Word documents, text files, or pasted content without reformatting. Free accounts store data locally, while paid accounts sync to the cloud for cross-device access. Privacy is prioritized, with documents and reading history stored securely and never shared or used to train AI models. Evanreads applies cognitive psychology principles to reduce cognitive load and strengthen memory formation.
