**What do you like best about Softdocs?**

There are endless ways to get creative with forms and workflows. I have yet to hear a support or CSM say, "not possible."  To clarify, we have unique workflows and forms that are complex. Form building experts jump in and help us meet our needs and continue to help when we need changes or  updates on the fly.

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

I provide support on-site to users. I believe Etrieve would benefit from an "act as user" function to allow sys admins to identify user errors that can be quickly resolved. It requires many phone calls, Teams meetings, and email exchanges.  This is a function issue only.

**What problems is Softdocs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Document storage and management, e-forms have reduced paper, and staff need to access only one system to fill out forms and review forms that have been submitted.

**What do you like best about Softdocs?**

I greatly appreciate the continuous improvment of the software by adding new and upgraded features regularly, along with stellar customer service.

Etrieve is very easy to inegrate with our ERP and other services, and we use it extensively throughout the college.

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

My experience with Softdocs has been nothing but positive. Having worked with many software vendors, I can easiely say Softdocs has been the best partner by far.

**What problems is Softdocs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The robust form and workflow combination allows us to automate many processes without having to bog down users. No matter how simple or complex the process is, I've yet to find one I couldn't improve using Etrieve.

**What do you like best about Softdocs?**

Extremely easy to file and retrieve documents for the end user.  Security and permissions is excellent for limiting who sees what.  Integration with external db's makes the platform very versatile.  Their after-sales support is awesome!!

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

There is not really anything I dislike about the product.  There is a learning curve from an administrative/developer standpoint, but the product is rather intuitive once you get going.

A one-stop shop for forms creation, processing and storage.

I love how Softdocs works with its customers to create partnerships.  We have been able to do some very cool things over the past years.

Currently we are pleased with all of the changes Softdocs has made.

Integrating API's for Ellucian schools and Softdocs.

**What do you like best about Softdocs?**

It's easy to spin up simple forms and keep track of where in the work flow they are. If you have more complicated designs, the tool is powerful enough to accommodate with a bit of code behind the forms.

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

There are a lot of places where manual lists of approvers need to be maintained, and when those lists change, it can be hard to keep track of all the places you need to edit.

**What problems is Softdocs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have converted so many paper forms to eforms and migrated our legacy document management system into Content. There is still a fair backlog of forms that are still processed with paper, that we are developing, and some work flows that wouldn't be possible on paper. We also have had a big decrease in processing time for these work flows which used to involve packets of paper stuck on people's desks for weeks.

**What do you like best about Softdocs?**

Using etrieve allows our district to eliminate unnecessary paperwork at the school and district level.  Our entire accounts payable system runs through the easy to use platform.   What we like best is that our platform can be customized to fit our needs.   We were able to create forms and workflows that work best for us..

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

Our only dislike is that we did not use it sooner.

**What problems is Softdocs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main problem was how to build a workflow that allowed our schools to purchase goods under $5,000 without the use of a purchase order.   The payment verification tool resolved that issue for us and makes our accounts payable seamless.

**What do you like best about Softdocs?**

The solution is intuitive. The price is very reasonable. The customer support is the best I have worked with. Importing new documents is extremely easy. Adding new departments to Etrieve doesn't take much effort at all. It is a great all-around product and their strong familiarity with Higher Ed is a bonus.

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

I wish Etrieve Central's Forms were more robust and had greater functionality.

**What problems is Softdocs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We managed to get over 24 five-drawer filing cabinets into Etrieve, freeing up a large room to become a new meeting area. It has never been easier to go paperless!

The staff we worked with at Softdocs have been tremendous, knowledgeable and supportive. We couldn't have asked for a better training staff and client success manager

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

I wish there was a better batch import option but the serve product would probably meet most of our needs in that area.

**What problems is Softdocs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Too early to tell but workflows and online forms will be extremely helpful to assist with streamlining functions.

**What do you like best about Softdocs?**

Softdocs does a great job supporting both customers and Etrieve, their software. The continuous improvement approach and the frequent release of new features make this platform appealing to work with, and able to meet a variety of needs. Users have great amounts of input into the development process, and customer service is responsive and very competent.

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

The platform allows for user implementation of the imaging and content management product, workflows and forms. Softdocs also sells consulting covering all these areas. The many advanced features and toolsets for building out all these products are not as well documented as would be desireable.

**What problems is Softdocs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We get new students into our systems using Etrieve. Using the software has greatly simplified the process for our staff, and also provides a more seamless experience for our students. Forms and workflows go a long way in alleviating cumbersome paper processes, and the constantly improving admin interfaces give great insight into the status of any given process at-a-glance. Cumbersome and dreaded processes have become manageable and quick.

**What do you like best about Softdocs?**

The biggest upside to using Etrieve is as a Financial Aid Office, we were able to meet the students where they were at.. online. We were able to take our verification process down from 2 weeks to 3 days.

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

I think that the Form Builder needs some work to it. There are so many levels to the form builder that it can get a little confusing at times, however I do enjoy being able to build the forms how I want them built.

**What problems is Softdocs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By implementing Etrieve, it has allowed DC3 to review its processes and procedures thoroughly. It allowed us to realized we had some holes in our processes that we were losing kids, and by implementing Etrieve we were able to help solve those holes.

**What do you like best about Softdocs?**

We are retrieving information back from our ERP into Softdocs eforms. That along with the workflows, help solve our paper trail issues. We authenticate with CAS which also allows us to sign documents electronically in the examples of financial aid or HR paperwork. Softdocs has also helped us along our journey as we take the application even further to updating data in our ERP. We also like the Form Builder options which allow users to create forms without requiring IT support. The support we get from Softdocs is outstanding! Both students and staff see the huge difference Softdocs has made in our workflows and processes.

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

We decided not to purchase the Content Document Storage product and that would have been very helpful for the overall user experience. Content would have allowed us to store, index, and report on our eforms.

**Recommendations to others considering Softdocs:**

Purchase Content along with Etrieve Central

**What problems is Softdocs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One great feature of Softdocs Workflow is it allows users to enter data while a form is in progress. This has really helped departments see changes and track them as they move through the workflow. As we find new ways of using Softdocs, we are solving problems we didn't even know we had such as automatic field calculations in travel reimbursement forms.

**What do you like best about Softdocs?**

The ability to build a form quickly, assign a workflow and have it operating for end-users in such a short period makes the tool worth the money and effort.

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

We made the mistake of not purchasing Content, but instead have attempted to make Banner Document Management work instead. The other areas for improvement are electronic signatures for anonymous users. One other area of help to the form builder would be to have the function to unhide hidden rows when working with the form.

**Recommendations to others considering Softdocs:**

Purchase Content when you purchase Etrieve and use the Database Sources to connect to your SIS/ERP

**What problems is Softdocs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to speed up the tedious task of form chasing with the workflow processes within Etrieve. The ability to route forms based on form content or end-user decisions helps keep documents flowing fast. Both students and staff have benefited from being more self-sufficient, having the ability to monitor the form in the flow and know it is being processed.

**What do you like best about Softdocs?**

The documents are scanned, stored, and are secure. The clarity of the scanned document is very near if not as good as the original document. I do not have a lot of experience with other companies.

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

I have not scanned recently but when we first began you could choose to scan to the front of the document. So if you have a 100-page document that you added pages to...you could choose to make the page you were scanning the first page. That changed somewhere along the line and now you have to move the pages manually to the front of the document to view the last page scanned as the most current page.

**What problems is Softdocs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem we solve is the storage of documents and possibly the shredding of documents. This saves time which increases productivity and prerformace.

I appreciate the user-friendly format. Making corrections, and adding post-it notes keeps everyone in the loop.

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

Occasionally it goes offline. I don't think there is anything missing, there are probably several features that I do not use as my job doesn't require it.

**What problems is Softdocs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding old documents! It has eliminated so much physical storage that it is unreal.  Being able to effortlessly share and look at documents simultaneously is the best!

The ability to attach documents after a file has been made.

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

Downtime for maintenance can be an issue sometimes but doesn't happen often and can be done outside of the workday most times.

Access to documents when I am working remotely. Etrieve has also helped reduce the amount of paper used by allowing me to upload documents into Etrieve instead of having paper files.

I like having a form and a workflow that ends with secure storage all in one tool.

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

The building out of forms and workflows is not as easy as implied. For someone who is not a programmer type, there is a steep learning curve.

Having one place to store files that is safe and easy to access. Simplifying and streamlining departmental processes. Eliminating complicated workflows

I like the ease of transferring documents into Etrieve. I also like the electronic stamps (official, unofficial, processing, etc)

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

I wish documents would be larger when looking in a file that has been submitted, and trying to delete some of the pages (i.e. when students submit several pages of taxes we don't need - and we have to delete some of them) - or move them around.

**Recommendations to others considering Softdocs:**

It's a great product, and easy to  use.

**What problems is Softdocs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes scanners connected don't work properly, necessitating a restart.  One feature that is beneficial is the electronic stamper, and also the highlighter.

I process documents all day from Etrieve.  They are clear and easy to view.  The filing process is also very smooth.

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

Nothing, really.  It is very user friendly.

The biggest benefit for me is no more physical paper filing or physical paper files!!  I love the ease of using Etrieve!

I've been working with our main Softdocs person and I've heard him say that they "might be in the next update." Luckily, it seems like you listen to your users and help to make updates as needed

**What do you like best about Softdocs?**

I can submit my professional development and requested days off electronically to my administrator with having to fill out paper forms. I am also able to receive messages and approvals about my submissions. 

**What do you dislike about Softdocs?**

There is nothing that I dislike about Etrieve. 

**Recommendations to others considering Softdocs:**

Etrieve is a great way to keep up with employees forms. Documentation and forms can be submitted directly to your supervision or persons of interest.

**What problems is Softdocs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the issue of submitting multiple forms and paper work. All forms are now completed and reviewed through Etrieve. Also, forms are no longer being misplaced
