Looking up authorizations and claims can be confusing since come insurance companies have different portals. What problems is Essentials solving and how is that benefiting you? It has helped make requesting authorizations much easier and quicker than calling the insurance companies. Like other claims and insurance processing suites - there is no one "go-to" to determine if a patient is active and process all insurance verifications. The ability to receive claim status and eligibility from multiple payers and providers in one space, with one login. Sometimes there are issues with ERA's posting in Availity with some payers. Usually this is fixed quickly though within a few days. Availity having access to so many payers with just one login streamlines our work process. I do not like the inability to view detailed benefit information. I do not like the lack of claim information available for our patients. I do not like how we apply for multiple insurances to be added, yet they aren't. I want more insurances available on Availity, so I do not have to use so many portals. Love just how quickly it works and how simple it is to use with the insurance carriers it supports. It only supports certain carriers and not others, which you don't find out until you need to verify a patient's insurance. I hope they're working to expand to support more carriers! This software provides valuable information and makes insurance validation and billing easy. It's simple to send for authorization and referrals on mostly one platform. Almost all of the large companies are available and the information is presented in a way that's clear and easy to understand. This is one of the best platforms I've used. What do you dislike about Essentials? I dislike how many qualifications you can make when looking up an insurance plan. Sometime I do not always have the DOB or the NPI number.
