"Game-Changing MCP Servers for Integrating AI into the Development Cycle"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

MCP servers make it possible to integrate AI into the development cycle. For me, that was a game-changing improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

Not a dislike but an improvement space: With new releases, the MCP doesn’t provide a clear way to report what has changed from a specific version or how to adapt those changes to the current implementation. Having that information would help the LLM on my side understand the change burden and prepare an adoption plan to evaluate development costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Yet Complex for Non-Tech Users"
4/5
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

I like the column chooser and cell templates. The column chooser alongside sensible defaults and progressive disclosure works really well for mixed audiences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

Building list screens was slow and inconsistent. Server-side integration is powerful but not plug and play. Excel filter distinct values feel capped in practice. Localized columns need custom resolver work. Theming inside an existing design takes work. The initial setup took longer, especially for production-grade setup and advanced server-side scenarios, which needed more trial and error than the getting started pages. "Beautiful UI Controls That Save Tons of Design Time"
4/5
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

The biggest help has been the beautiful UI controls, which have saved me a tremendous amount of time on UI design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

The DLL files are slightly large, which increases the application package size. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Multi-Platform Tool with Room for Clarity"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

I like the flexibility that Essential Studio offers, especially the multi-platform utilization which allows me to work seamlessly across different platforms without having to change the code, particularly using React. I also appreciate that the community version doesn't cost me anything until I need to expand, which is great for my budget. Plus, the initial setup was simple, making it easy to get started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

I think a clearer indication of the different parameters allowed and not allowed would be helpful. There's room for improvement in making the iOS and Android integration more native. Performance enhancements would really be good instead of relying heavily on the web. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excel to PDF Made Seamless with Essential Studio"
4/5
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

I appreciate how Essential Studio fits well into our Excel-based document workflow. We didn't want to redesign our invoice and receipt output from scratch, and Essential Studio made it much easier to keep the final PDFs close to the original spreadsheet templates, which was a big win for us. I also like that it integrates cleanly into our backend workflow instead of feeling like a separate manual step, making the whole export flow more consistent for the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

The main area that could be better for us is setup. Getting the converter integrated into a backend deployment took more effort than the actual document logic, especially around licensing and environment-specific configuration. That part took time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Polished Components, Seamless Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

I use Essential Studio under the free Community License to create polished, user-friendly interfaces for educational applications in physics and chemistry. I especially like the wide range of polished components, the clear documentation, and the free Community License. The polished components improve the quality of my interfaces, the documentation makes integration easier, and the Community License makes these professional tools accessible for my educational projects. The initial setup was very easy. I use the JavaScript components directly in the frontend, and integration was straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

The large number of components and options can sometimes feel overwhelming, and more consistent, practical examples would make it easier to find and implement the right solution quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unmatched Flexibility and Time Savings"
5/5
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

I use Essential Studio to create modern and intuitive commercial software. I like the flexibility, adaptability, and integration of various technologies, which allows me to develop software specialized in the technology that best suits each situation. Essential Studio helps me shorten development times, as the wide variety of controls are ready to use with modern styles, saving me a lot of time instead of designing everything from scratch. It is a suite of tools that allows me to develop on different platforms such as Windows, Linux, and macOS, which helps me develop web applications, as well as Android, iOS, and desktop applications for Windows and Linux. Best of all, the controls in Essential Studio are homogenized, so I won't notice the difference between desktop, mobile, or web applications. Additionally, the setup is simple, you just have to follow the step-by-step guide and everything will be ready in 5 minutes. I am very satisfied with this tool and would totally recommend it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

I am a new user of Essential Studio and in forums for previous versions, they mentioned that there were breaking changes that broke compatibility between versions. I haven't gone through this, but I think as a developer, it's one of the most frustrating problems you don't want to experience. However, in the version changes, they stipulate the changes that may affect compatibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Datagrid, Needs More Customization"
4/5
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

I primarily use Essential Studio for displaying data in the datagrid, and I appreciate its easy-to-use nature. It effectively helps me implement OData integration for rendering data in data grids, with built-in features for filtering, sorting, and pagination that save me from tedious repetitive UI code. Besides the datagrid, I often utilize their form inputs like textarea, file upload, toggle switch, buttons, datepicker, and datetime picker. The initial setup was very easy and hassle-free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

I would love to see broader customization options for the data grid. It's customizable to an extent, but the current limitations restrict you when trying to perfectly tailor the component to your app's unique needs. The built-in edit and delete modals are too restrictive for our needs. We ended up building our own custom modals instead of using the native ones. Giving devs more control over the look and feel of these dialogs should definitely be a priority for future updates. I attempted to use the PDF viewer and rich text editor components but had to stop using them because they simply couldn't fulfill our project's needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Beautiful Components with Excellent Documentation, Support, and a Great Community License"
5/5
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

The components work beautifully, and the documentation and support is excellent. Their community license is a great way to get started as a small developer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

The upgrades can be a bit challenging, but they are getting easier the more that I do them. It was also a bit challenging to get approved for the community license, but I understand why they don’t just grant blanked approvals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
