Everything is labeled logically, and I can reach things with just a few clicks. I also appreciate the ability to label devices in any way I want, making it straightforward to filter by department, Windows version, or device type. Most tasks I want to execute remotely, like updating ESET antivirus or shutting down a device, are available out of the box. It's also not difficult to create my own tasks. The easy navigation means it's never a chore to use, and the main dashboard makes it easy for our team to see current problems, saving us time and providing visibility. The custom labeling feature allows me to create reports and dashboards to share with others, focusing on what's important for them. **What do you dislike about ESET PROTECT?** For some reason they decided to decouple the endpoint management (ESET PROTECT) from user and license management. All three of them exist on a different domain and require you to separately log in. So I have had scenarios where there was a problem with my license, and I had to log in to the license manager, but to do that I first had to log in the user management to give myself permissions to view the license management. It was rather convoluted and, in my opinion, unnecessary. Furthermore, this decoupling I think is also the reason why sometimes new devices added to your system look like they have issues verifying the license; A newly added device sometimes doesn't want to activate its ESET licenses, because it takes a while for it to communicate with the license manager to sort it out. It's not a big issue, but it does mean that we generally install the software on the first day, and then configure it the next day to not run into these types of issues. **What problems is ESET PROTECT solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use ESET PROTECT to ensure our devices are secure and compliant with policies. It solves visibility issues and saves time by allowing remote management, analysis, and troubleshooting of devices. Honestly I think its mostly running in the background and I’ve been lucky enough to avoid most of the crashing issues which has been a huge help. I figured it would probably fail the penetration test however it did block the ransomware, so I guess that’s a plus. They usually run automatically 3-4 times a day to update. **What do you dislike about ESET PROTECT?** The interface is still stuck in the early 2000s and its very ugly and gray. I sit around waiting forever to get an answer to a simple question and no one has a clue. Occasionally the symlink file will not match and I’ll have to go in and correct it myself and that will completely ruin my afternoon. It consumes way too much RAM when I have chrome open. **What problems is ESET PROTECT solving and how is that benefiting you?** Protecting the endpoint from being infected by users clicking everything. It manages the firewall adequately and I don’t really have to worry about the linux machines that much. Even while scanning, its performance does not burden the PC or laptop. Its performance is also very strong and aggressive in handling suspicious files. ESET PROTECT stands out because it can run smoothly even on devices with limited resources, such as 2GB RAM and a slow processor. This enhances the user experience because booting time remains fast, as if not using an antivirus. The menu provided is very user-friendly and not confusing. This feature is very flexible because it can be installed on a Linux server if you don't have a Windows server and can also run in a VM environment. The initial setup process is easy to understand, supported by comprehensive guides and assistance from local support, making the overall experience very positive. **What do you dislike about ESET PROTECT?** I might be a little disappointed with the stability and performance of ESET PROTECT. When you upgrade your MacOS to a new major version, if you have ESET installed, after reboot, network connectivity is totally dead. You have to fully uninstall and remove ESET, then reboot then re-install ESET for the current MacOS version.
