"The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Best Cap Table for Startups Planning for Long-Term Growth"
5/5
What do you like best about Eqvista?

I am a founder and the thing that I most value is the way Eqvista grows with you. We started using it pre-funding to issue founder shares and manage our initial option pool. It is now post-Series A, and it handles complex scenarios like SAFE conversions, pro-rata rights, and waterfall analysis without any effort. The stock plan administration is so simple that our HR lead can onboard new employees and issue options without my direct involvement. For any entrepreneurs asking, this is definitely the best cap table for startups that are serious about building a clean, investor-ready company from scratch. What do you dislike about Eqvista?

The reporting features are strong but there is a little bit of learning curve. It took us a few tries to create the exact customized report for our board with the data visualization we wanted. Their support helped us create templates so that it is a one-time setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Our Equity Management Through Multiple Funding Rounds"
5/5
What do you like best about Eqvista?

As CEO of a growing SaaS company, Eqvista has been essential for managing our complex equity structure across Series A and B funding rounds. The platform's cap table management automatically updates ownership percentages after each investment, while the stock plan administration handles our employee option pool seamlessly. The 409A valuation features saved us thousands in external consultant fees and provided clear documentation for our investors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eqvista?

The reporting for investor updates could be more customizable, and the mobile app lacks some functionality available on the desktop platform. Integration with our accounting software required additional configuration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transformed Our Equity Management for Multiple Coffee Shop Expansions"
5/5
What do you like best about Eqvista?

The platform made it incredibly straightforward to manage equity distribution as we grew from a single coffee shop to five locations. Setting up our employee stock program for our baristas and managers was seamless, and the cap table automatically updated with each new investor. The compliance features ensured we met all regulations without constant legal consultations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eqvista?

The reporting for our non-financial partners could be more visual and less technical. The mobile app has limited functionality, which is challenging when I'm moving between our different coffee shop locations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Best Cap Table for Startups We Evaluated for Our Seed Round"
5/5
What do you like best about Eqvista?

As a first-time founder, managing our company's equity was a daunting task. We evaluated several platforms before choosing Eqvista, and it stood out for its founder-friendly approach. The ease of use is phenomenal; I was able to set up our initial cap table, issue electronic stock certificates to our co-founders, and model our seed round financing with no prior experience. The visualizations and reports made it simple to explain dilution and ownership to our early investors. When we closed our seed round, having a clean, accurate, and professional cap table was critical, and Eqvista provided exactly that. It feels like it was built for Entrepreneurs who need power without the complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eqvista?

While the core equity management is excellent, the onboarding process could be more guided. For someone completely new to 409A valuations and complex equity instruments, there's a slight learning curve where you have to piece together information from the help center. I also found that some of the more advanced reporting features for waterfall analysis are part of higher-tier plans, which was a consideration for our bootstrapped early days. "How to create a startup project with a solid foundation"
5/5
What do you like best about Eqvista?

After experiencing various acquisitions, I am able to confirm that a properly managed cap table on a platform such as Eqvista is basically the most valuable things you can have during the due diligence process. It tells acquirers that you are running a business the right way. I also really appreciate the scenario modeling tools; they make it possible for entrepreneurs to visualize the actual effect of a new financing round or a buyout proposal on their stake. The part about the company’s equity that is managed through the features is very complete but still quite user-friendly, which is quite challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eqvista?

The pricing, while fair, can feel like a stretch for a very pre-revenue, bootstrapped startup. However, I view it as a necessary cost of doing business properly, much like legal counsel. The value it provides far outweighs the expense by preventing costly mistakes down the line. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Founder-Friendly Tool for Cap Table Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Eqvista?

I appreciate how intuitive and visual the platform is. The Ease of Use means even first-time Founders can navigate their cap table, run funding scenarios, and understand the impact of a new round without needing a finance degree. The Ease of Implementation is also a strong point—I’ve seen companies transition from messy spreadsheets to a fully functional Eqvista setup in days, not weeks. For Investors, the ability to quickly review a clean, accurate cap table during due diligence is invaluable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eqvista?

While Eqvista is excellent for early-stage companies, some of our more complex portfolio companies with international teams have noted that certain advanced features, like multi-currency support or localized compliance reporting, could be stronger. The Customer Support is generally helpful, but I’ve heard feedback that response times can vary. The Ease of Integration with some HR platforms also requires manual effort, which can be a minor friction point for fast-growing teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential Equity Management for SaaS Founders and Investors"
5/5
What do you like best about Eqvista?

Running a B2B SaaS company means constantly balancing product development with investor relations. Eqvista has been instrumental in maintaining that balance. The platform's ability to handle our complex cap table with multiple funding rounds and employee stock options has saved us countless hours. As we've scaled from 5 to 25 employees while securing Series A funding, Eqvista grew with us. The 409A valuation service integrated seamlessly and provided the professional documentation our investors required. What stands out is how it simplifies complex equity structures that are common in fast-growing software companies – from founder equity to investor shares and employee option pools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eqvista?

The initial data migration from our previous system required significant attention to detail, taking nearly two days to ensure accuracy. Some of the more advanced analytical features, particularly the waterfall analysis for liquidation scenarios, required time to master through their tutorial resources. The mobile application, while useful for basic viewing, lacks the full functionality needed for on-the-go updates that busy founders often need. The pricing structure, while justified for the value provided, was something we had to carefully consider during our early bootstrapping phase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unified Our Executive Leadership and Operational Execution"
5/5
What do you like best about Eqvista?

As Co-CEO, this platform bridges the gap between high-level strategy and day-to-day operations seamlessly. The real-time performance dashboards give both of us CEOs identical visibility into company metrics, while the automated reporting ensures we're always aligned on priorities without constant meetings. The strategic planning modules help us coordinate major initiatives across departments without duplication of effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eqvista?

The executive-level analytics could provide more nuanced industry benchmarking, and the co-leadership workflow features need refinement for handling conflicting priorities between executives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Accelerated Our M&A Strategy with Streamlined Equity Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Eqvista?

The platform's scenario modeling capabilities have been invaluable for our acquisition strategy. During our recent merger, Eqvista's cap table simulation tools helped us model different equity exchange ratios instantly. The due diligence features automated what would have taken weeks of manual work, and the compliance tracking ensured we met all regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eqvista?

The international tax implication features could be more comprehensive for cross-border transactions. The reporting for non-technical stakeholders during M&A negotiations needed additional customization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
