"Robust functionality but not very intuitive"

What do you like best about Epicor Eclipse?

It's very robust as a database and complete with a highly sophisticated order management system alongside A/R tools, inventory management / logistics tools, and customizable reporting options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Epicor Eclipse?

It's a legacy database with Kinetic being Epicore's latest iteration. It's not intuitive and it takes a lot of time to learn how to effectively navigate all the features. IT managers administering the platform need to collaborate with users to ensure that proper authorization keys are assigned so that functionality isn't limited where it doesn't have to be. It is an amalgamation of the data that has been input by many different people over a decade or two of time. Because of human input, there is potential for "ugly" data or just incorrect data in general. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Epicor Eclipse solving and how is that benefiting you?

We solve all sorts of problems with Eclipse. The main problem we solve is the problem of maintaining inventory with sales orders, purchase orders, and returns. It also makes it easy to find out who did what work with log features. Recommendations to others considering Epicor Eclipse:

When you decide to implement, make sure your installer is someone who is familiar with your industry, regardless of where they live. Take advantage of everything within the community. Join the Users Group, attend Insights, Encounter, and any on-site trainings Epicor has to offer. Explore using a 3rd Party resource such as Zerion for consulting or advise. What problems is Epicor Eclipse solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about Epicor Eclipse?

How it you can access the same information from one main screen and I personally think that we will love this new system. It is just very user friendly. Also, the easier we can gather information from orders to apply that information for our customers the better we will be. I see how the system will be easier with my warehouse as well, they now will not have to wait to pick orders/process orders. What do you dislike about Epicor Eclipse?

Recommendations to others considering Epicor Eclipse:

I would advise to learn how to find all of the shortcuts and create so many different shortcuts to do process orders, run reports, find information from processed orders, choose shipping methods and prepaid amounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
