I like the intellisense feature which aids in the programming. The navigation between the screens and various event sections is fast and easy. The software is relatively simple and clean which makes it robust. Very few crashes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1) When creating functions in advanced code. KBMAX does not recognize the added code in other events such as "On End" or "On Child Value Change" or even in the action code until you save, close, and re open KBMAX. Then the advanced code is recognized.

2)Sometimes the intellisense does not open up and sometimes it does

3)Occasionally the configuration file will be closed with an error and there is a chance the config file will be unable to be reopened. The only way to save the file and access it would be to hit control, alt, shift, and z. Even then the editing is not very self explanatory.

4)Do not have any tutorials or documentation on any of this software. For example the cntl, alt, shift z thing was not told to us until months after we initially had the problem. The communication can be better from the troubleshooting standpoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Once you have the product designed and set up in KB it takes very little time to clean up the SolidWorks drawings for production. Our company also has KB set up to generate a BOM linked to our ERP system. You can run multiple builds. Start one and while you wait for it to build, go back and configure another.
