What do you dislike about Ephesoft?

It seems to me that we are leaving money on the table by not going after the small customers that typically would buy a narrow cloud service. Come up with a seeding strategy! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Ephesoft?

integration part, and interface after it was configured from Infor OS.

The opertunities for training the staff.

that we have both PRD and TRN environment, so we get test invoices into our test environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ephesoft?

hard to get to the goal with 80% of all invoices not being touched.

with minor training of the optimization process, we are not able to see how this should be possible.

Recommendations to others considering Ephesoft:

Get scope in place first, before getting into configuration.

and then find a proper implementation partner that can help out.

What problems is Ephesoft solving and how is that benefiting you?

Invoice scanning, hopefully in future we can optimize 80% of invoices to being processed automatic.

What do you like best about Ephesoft?

Ephesoft Transact offers various built-in modules to achieve the best results with document classification and validation.

With out box modules like Recostar, Machine Learning technology and document classification our customer can achieve their goals to automate document processing.

If an functionality is missing or required, this can still be achieved by scripting or creating additional modules. Ephesoft Transact is a effective product that is used with complete satisfaction by our customers. In addition, the software is scalable and can grow with our customers.

The Ephesoft support department can be reached quickly and easily and has an immediate answer to various questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ephesoft?

The UI needs some optimization (speed and simplicity) and it would be useful to be able to perform BULK actions on Index Fields.

Certain configurations can only be adjusted at the server level and not within the GUI of the software. Our customers would like to have this within the management interface.

We notice that Ephesoft Transact gets better and more comprehensive with each release, which is a big plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Ephesoft:

I would advise setting up a demo that interfaces with your own issues. You will be convinced by a demo! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ephesoft solving and how is that benefiting you?

Much manual work (classifying documents and validating) is now automated. While using Ephesoft Transact, this results in a reduction of personnel that can be deployed elsewhere. These employees are currently being deployed in other departments to optimize business processes even better.

What do you like best about Ephesoft?

The capability to customize the module and integration with other software such us UiPath, Blue Prism, AA, etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ephesoft?

Only 1 feature that missing in here, it is about Machine Learning for Table Extraction.

If Ephesoft able to learn from our previous table extraction result. It will be the most powerful feature compare to other IDP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Ephesoft:

If the client has zero experience in IDP, we may need to educate them on how the IDP is working and how it can solve the problem.

Then we come to them on Ephesoft as the IDP tools to support their IDP problem because Ephesoft has more flexibility compare to other IDP to learn, classify, interpret, validate, and transfer the data. Almost all my clients in happy to use Ephesoft because it delivers best performance and so many option in a way of how we can leverage the Ephesoft feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Ephesoft?

Extremely Powerful and customizable OCR engine. Many options allow for almost unlimited customization and very detail oriented scanning requirements. A lot of plugins/modules to allow for several different document handling scenarios and works well with integrations like SharePoint or even custom Java code. Even has UI Path Packages to leverage Bot Automation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ephesoft?

The UI is unintuitive and at times difficult to work with. Requires detailed step-by step instruction to end users. However, once the elements are well understood, it is navigable. The hardest part is "re-remembering" if I had been away from the interface for awhile. Perfectly useable; but doesn't have a nice flow. My understanding is the UI is new and will likely improve over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Ephesoft:

The application is very powerful. With great power comes a high learning curve. You must be willing to put in the time to learn and understand how it works. This is not a drop-in solution - it is a solution when you have highly specific and detailed requirements for OCR scanning your documents for a fairly high or more volume. Once set-up properly; it can save hundreds of manual hours. It works with automation very well and is extremely good at what it does. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ephesoft solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have a lot of digital statements for customers as well as scanned paper statements from a large number of different banks with different statement formats. Once the statements are a PDF, the Ephesoft engine makes short work of finding the required meta-data and renaming the file with the pertinent data. It can even find statements that are for one customer; or which have multiple participants where it can break up the document and create individual files. This creates a standardized naming convention that we simply drop into our DMS that is setup to read the filename, extract the data and apply that to tags for each document. What do you dislike about Ephesoft?

Lucene indexing doesn't consistently deliver the desired results. I have to fall back on Keyword Classification in a lot of cases. Keyword Classification is not very portable—lots of steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
