**What do you like best about Envoy Visitors?**

One sleek location for all visitors to log in and out. Also appreciate the ability to do the same on the phone app. Looks very professional. Visitor logs are secure in the cloud and not something laying out on a desk.

**What do you dislike about Envoy Visitors?**

To keep the app running, we use Guided Access. We have to disable all automatic updates for the device and the app in order not to have Guided Access interrupted. We have to manually update.

**What problems is Envoy Visitors solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our IT department requires a visitor log for PCI compliance. I did not want to have to keep track of a paper log. This also allows the IT department to have access to the visitors log at any time whether in the office or remote.

Something that really impressed me is how streamlined and secure the registration process is through a QR code on my mobile phone. Furthermore, the system sends automatic notifications as soon as a visitor arrives, and the whole process is extremely smooth and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Envoy Visitors?**

One weak point is the mobile app: it’s too limited and urgently needs an update to improve its functionality and overall user experience.

The best part has been eliminating the chaos of paperwork and email; now everything is far more organized and works wonderfully. It also helps ensure greater privacy for user data, and it lets me check directly from my phone who is in the building in real time.

I like most of its features, especially the contractor management feature. It lets me make sure security personnel watch a video, and the audit log updates instantly. If an incident occurs, I can export an Excel file with names and exact times down to the second.

What I didn’t like is that if the internet goes down, the reception system collapses, since there’s only one point of failure.

It is widely used to solve problems, especially for visual identification of issues. It also helps with problem configuration and managing obligations. Using data to view days and overall progress is straightforward, and everything works smoothly, which saves time and improves the workflow.

I appreciate that Envoy Visitors allows me to view multiple sites from one location, which helps streamline operations and ensure consistent oversight across various data center locations. This feature enhances my ability to manage and monitor visitor activities efficiently without being confined to a single site, giving me greater flexibility and control. Additionally, I enjoy the ability to customize the flows within Envoy Visitors, which allows me to tailor the visitor check-in process to meet the specific requirements of each site. This customization means I can adapt the sign-in experience to better align with our operational environment, ensuring smoother and more efficient visitor management. I also value the feature that allows data input to be moved to the user, as it reduces the administrative burden on our staff and empowers visitors to enter their own information, thereby improving accuracy and efficiency in the data capture process.

I am disappointed that the ID scanner doesn't autofill the user's information, which could save time and reduce errors during visitor check-ins. Additionally, it's frustrating that we can't get the system to recapture the signature on each visit, which is essential for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. The initial setup was also challenging, as the sign-in flows seemed to be designed for a different environment, which made customization and adjustment to our specific needs more cumbersome.

We’ve been using the Envoy Visitors Program for our residence, and it’s been an excellent addition to our front desk operations. Visitors appreciate the quick and seamless check-in process, and our staff love how organized it keeps our records.

Overall, I’ve had a positive experience using Envoy Visitors — it’s a reliable, user-friendly system that makes managing guest check-ins and visitor records simple and professional. That said, I’ve noticed a couple of limitations worth mentioning. The customization options can feel somewhat restricted unless you’re on a higher-tier plan, as advanced features like branded interfaces, enhanced directory management, and sign-out tools require an upgrade. Additionally, the system is heavily dependent on a strong internet connection — when connectivity is weak, performance can slow down, which occasionally disrupts the flow of check-ins.

I like how easy it was to manage and set up Envoy Visitors. The notifications work okay, and the registration for visitors is pretty easy. The fact that there's an Outlook plugin is also something I appreciate.

I think the cost is somewhat high and also the ability to tie into building systems would be great for visitors when we rent from a managed building. It would be nice if a building that you are renting a floor from would integrate with the company system so visitors have to register in one portal rather than several.

**What do you like best about Envoy Visitors?**

We have had this software at our business for several years.  It has many features that have proved very helpful for us.  We have used the visitor sign-in information for fire and severe weather protocols to make sure everyone is accounted for, we have used the reports to determine how often a vendor is here, to track times that a vendor was here to confirm if they were involved in a questionable activity, to make sure after-hours delivery people showed up, and to find the exact name of a visitor to send them correspondence.  As a front desk person, it is very helpful to identify the exact name of who is visiting, their company and let their sign-in info notify whom they are visiting.

**What do you dislike about Envoy Visitors?**

The only problem I find is having to keep an eye on things to make sure vendors are signed out if they fail to do so when they leave.  I usually have to view the week and check for those that are still signed in and check them out.  I don't like to keep them signed in forever.

Tracking people (both employees from other locations and general visitors) for security purposes and letting employees know that someone is here to see them.

**What do you like best about Envoy Visitors?**

We've been using Envoy at my workplace to check in walk-in customers, and it's been a fantastic addition to our workflow. One of the things I really appreciate about Envoy is how customizable it is—you can tailor the check-in experience to fit your specific business needs.

Another great feature is the ability to sign users out from multiple devices, whether it's a phone, tablet, or computer. This flexibility is super helpful, especially in a busy environment where different team members are using different platforms.

The user interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy for both staff and customers to use without confusion. Overall, Envoy has made our visitor management process much smoother and more professional.

I would definitely recommend it to any business looking for a modern and efficient check-in system.

One small downside is that it does require a stable Wi-Fi connection to function properly, which can be a limitation in areas with unreliable internet. That said, as long as your connection is solid, it works seamlessly.

In our IT department, Envoy Visitors is solving the problem of managing on-site guests—especially vendors, clients, or employees from other departments—in a secure, trackable, and efficient way. Before Envoy, check-ins were done manually, which made it difficult to maintain accurate visitor records or quickly verify who was in the building.

With Envoy, we can now digitally track visitor activity, get real-time notifications when someone arrives, and even remotely sign users in or out from a phone, tablet, or computer. This is especially helpful when supporting multiple offices or working in hybrid setups.

It also benefits us by improving compliance, security, and professionalism, which is critical in IT, where data protection and access control matter. The customizable workflows are a big plus, allowing us to tailor the experience for different visitor types (like contractors vs. internal staff).

Overall, it's helping us save time, reduce human error, and improve visitor experience—all while keeping our environment secure.

We spend a fair bit of time keeping the printers connected. This may be more of an issue with the Epson printers, but their are limited models supported.

Envoy Visitors replaced our old paper sign-in sheet and manual check-in process. It keeps everything digital, so we always know who’s in the building, and it automatically notifies the right person when a guest arrives. It saves time and helps with security and record-keeping.

There are two of us at reception and we both have the Envoy dashboard app on our computers.  It makes it so easy to keep track of who is in the building and who they're here to see.

**What do you dislike about Envoy Visitors?**

The only downside that I've experienced is the the 50 employee cap on how many can be in the system to be a host.  There is an option to upgrade to have more hosts, but the cost, in my opinion is pretty high.

**What problems is Envoy Visitors solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Envoy Visitors is very user friendly for guests signing in.  They have so many other things on their minds that they don't need to deal with a clunky signing in process too.  I also really like the feature of Envoy emailing the visitor a short email, which I customized, providing them with locations of washrooms, emergency exits and our guest WIFI password.

**What do you like best about Envoy Visitors?**

I am able to customize the visitor experience. For example, during COVID, we added a check-in process to remind visitors of our mask policy. We are a makers space and have a lot of prototypes. We are able to add a NDA to our visitor check-in process to protect the privacy of our members. We are also able to add in visitor info after they visited, which is great because we track foot traffic.

**What do you dislike about Envoy Visitors?**

Some messaging could be repetitive and not user-friendly. For example, we use Envoy for packages and mail pick up. There are constant reminders that confuse our members to make them think they have multiple packages whereas they just did not mark their packages as 'picked up' from before.

**What problems is Envoy Visitors solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Envoy Visitors helps us track who is coming into the building. We use this data to determine which day of the week is busiest so we plan accordingly. For example, our busiest day is Wednesday. We build upon this data and have events on Wednesdays so we get the most engagement. We  use Envoy Visitors to put into place a NDA to protect our members and prototypes. We use the messaging system to remind visitors of our photo policy. Great tool for communicating all in one place.

**What do you like best about Envoy Visitors?**

One of the key benefits of using Envoy Visitors is the ability for guests to register in advance and check in using their QR code at reception, allowing for a smooth and efficient entry into our space. I'm not entirely sure what the visitor experience looks like, but if Envoy provides temporary access to view our office map, that would definitely be a helpful feature.

**What do you dislike about Envoy Visitors?**

One limitation we've experienced with Envoy Visitors is that, even with admin access, I'm unable to schedule a visit on behalf of someone else, if I send the invitation, I'm automatically listed as the host, which can create confusion at times.  It would be helpful to have the option to designate which employee the visitor is here to see when scheduling the visit. So that the employee receives a Slack message from Envoy, when their guest arrives, instead of me.

The option to register in advance is beneficial for group visits.

The features we needed were all present. The software for the user check-in was stable. Active Directory integration worked extremely well.

**What do you dislike about Envoy Visitors?**

The cost was high though I don't know if it was any higher than the competion.

We needed a way to let employees know that a visitor had arrived and was waiting in the vestibule. Envoy allowed us to integrate our Active Directory to the customer facing iPad so that contacts are always current. No user management for Envoy is needed. Another thing this allows us to do is print guest name badges so they are ready just as soon as they come into the office.

Makes registering and having our guests sign NDAs much easier, as well as solving for when someone is not at the reception desk by sending hosts notifications. The online interface is pretty easy to use and update our settings as we need to.

I love that we are able to invite guests and limit touchpoints by using Envoy integrations. We can send bulk information out to visitors, and they can register in advance to make their visit much more smooth. It is incredibly helpful to be able to see the invitations of multiple people, and check in and out from both the portal and the kiosk.

Flexibility to build, thorough training materials, and intuitive nature for our end users.

Was tough at setup. We had a glitch that never converted our free trial, so launch was delayed after all end users were trying to log in. Once that was fixed. it has been pretty smooth. It is more costly than some other solutions but includes more features we need - preregistration's being the biggest priority. It's cheaper than some others.

Streamlining visitor entry and management. We are a lab that legally has to restrict access. Envoy gives us useful tools and excellent reporting when required.

Being short staffed and not always having a staff member available to greet visitors is a problem that Envoy has helped solve for us. Visitors use a professional interface to indicate their reason for visiting and what they need so that the appropriate staff member can be notified.

The standard tier limits you to 50 employees listings which is silly considering that its just a lookup. Also that enterprise is required for the SSO offering.

I love that I can create custom logins for multiple visitor types.  I also love that we can automatically print sign in badges for our visitors.

**What do you like best about Envoy Visitors?**

Our employees receive a text on their mobile device and an email in their Inbox immediately when their guest arrives and checks in. When the receptionist is not available at the lobby entrance, the Envoy device can easily notify hosts of their guests with no delay.  It's a perfectly seamless solution for our company's needs.

**What do you dislike about Envoy Visitors?**

We wish the iPad had a 100% touchless QR feature. As of now, it requires a touch to initiate the QR code.
We wish the app had a timeout feature for long periods of inactivity, so that the iPad is not locked with the app open 24/7 and can be given the opportunity to timeout.

**Recommendations to others considering Envoy Visitors:**

Consider using both the Pre-Registration option and also the mobile app for employee check-in, it's a great extra tool to have.

It is now a natural part of our visitor check in process.  It's a faster and more efficient method of notifying hosts of their visitors.  We're not quite sure how we ever survived without it.  Gone forever is the paper and pen check-in method and we are grateful for that!

**What do you like best about Envoy Visitors?**

I really like the web portal that is able to show how many visitors are currently at your location or signed in. This is helpful for tracking vendors and contractors, in the event of an emergency, or to use as a quasi-time keeping software as well, in the event of any discrepancy. Customer support is also incredibly easy to deal with and very friendly and prompt. If anything does go wrong with the system, customer service has always been on top of things immediately.

**What do you dislike about Envoy Visitors?**

I think it would be incredible for administrators to be able to see ID's that are scanned in. On more than one occasion we have found someone using a false/incorrect ID, and have not been able to verify until we saw them the next time. It also would be extremely helpful if the system would remember previous visitors, and instead of making them take new photos or scan their ID's again, if it would just recognize the visitor as the name is typed in.

**What problems is Envoy Visitors solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Envoy allows our company to sign in visitors and contractors, without the need to assign them permanent badges. It also allows us to track when folks are coming in (what times are busiest, etc.) and how many visitors on average an employee is bringing in. This benefits us like any other metric we can track really, but the main thing is being able to determine who is in our facility, and who is in charge of them. In the event of some kind of issue with a visitor, we can immediately contact their POC to deal with it.
