What do you like best?

Easy to understand GUI, compatibility with most SNMP devices and MIB files. Cloud based solution not encumbent on network uptime for access and visibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Needs more intergration with switches for auto-deployment and scripting. Python integration would be helpful. As SD routering and switching is more commonplace, ENA will benefit from these features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Undersatnd the various features and functions - there's a wealth of knowledge in the KB articles for navigation and understanding of the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Comprehensive views of the network layer in corporate environment. The corp's entire UPS system was setup for visibility into ENA and can not monitor power disruptions and on-battery alerts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I was surprised that Entuity scaled to our large environment. I find other distributed polling solutions struggled on centralization and management. Entuity does a good job at centralization and have always worked with us to streamline management of our 80 remote Entuity servers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Large installations can have difficulty with SNMP trap and flow management for SDN or if you do not allow Entuity to do configuration management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

The Technical Sales team is extremely knowledgeable. Utilize them during evaluation and implementation to implement solutions to some of your more challenging issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Numerous applications and hardware solutions are being managed by Entuity via traps instead of their own integrations with our Event Management service. Capacity Planning went to Entuity from Riverbed due to ease of reporting. We use the API to automate inventory maintenance by integrations with our CMDB. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I have used many network analytics some were slow some were not that able to identify the basic root cause but to my surprise, ENA is such efficient network analytics that it helped in identifying the exact problem within some time. It helped in reducing the different notifications that were useless and bothered me all the time resulting in diverting my attention from work that is most essential for me. Also, its prompt and convenient customization makes it incredible. After it, I am to delete many other products that I was using to fulfill this function which it alone is managing so well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

In performing few functions I found it a little slow and complicated and that bothered me most about it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Considering in view my experience with Entuity Network Analytics I think it is very helpful for larger environments like that of mine. I have been using it for a long time and have found it proactive in identifying the root cause of network problems which helped in better eradication and in smooth working. I found its built-in dashboards really helpful and time-saving for me so I would recommend using it. It is helpful for me so will be for you for sure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The deployment of ENA has allowed us to retire multiple other products and reduce the number of management IPs we have to configure in SNMP from 7-9 down to just two. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The biggest challenge is lack of name recognition as we leverage ENA as part of services that we provide to our client base. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Do a trial and work with the sales engineers. As a hosting company we have a very large and complex network and produces situations that they could not handle. The sales engineers immediately took those to development and in roughly one week we had a custom hot-fix that addressed all of our concerns. And to our delight, all of those changes were included in the GA product release to the public. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The biggest has been tool consolidation. When we are supporting a client that is having a performance problem, the ability to go to a single console to see all the network views that we care about (instead of half a dozen different products) goes a long way to reduce the time to resolution. Then on top of that are all the event management rules we can leverage to control unwanted noise and out of the box integration to our preferred enterprise management tool, BMC TrueSight. What do you like best?

It is easy to install and patch the product. We are glad that it integrates with BMC TrueSight. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I wish that you could use both LDAP and local accounts at the same time for users. The event management can get deep and cumbersome if not familiar with how it works. We wish that there would be an easier way to promote projects from one poller to another. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

With Entuity we have been able to migrate from legacy network monitoring tools and have a single standard across all customers. The benefits is that we are using a single platform/solution instead of multiple tools to monitor our customer network devices. The events are able to be integrated with BMC TrueSight so that we can use a single pane of glass for our customers or we can also provide access to their individual poller if necessary.
