The downsides are that troubleshooting can be hard, and support can be hard to come by as you need to email the Onfido support line. Upgrading SDKs repeatedly can be a lift as well. We have many customers that we cannot verify via credit check, so we like to use ONfido to verify our customers with their ID. Onfido does document checks and facial similarity checks for us.
