I have been using Enscape since 2023 and use it Live while modeling in Revit. Finding mistakes early in the modeling process can increase productivity by limiting rework and missed mistakes. There isn’t much I truly dislike. Sometimes larger models can make it run a bit slower, and it requires a strong graphics card to perform at its best. When saving views, Enscape 3D doesn't remember output resolution ratios, exposure, field of view, and color temperature. This means these settings always have to be reset or adjusted for each view, which is exceptionally time-wasting as we render anywhere from 3-20 views per drawing package. Additionally, the 'Save Enscape Sun Position' often doesn't always produce the exact same sunlight, color tone, or shadowing when re-rendering if revisions are made later in the project. The thing I like the best about Enscape 3D is that I can see all the placed assets in my model making software of Rhino. Other softwares don't have that feature, so I can't see where I've placed the assets in my mode. Enscape allows that and it makes architectural design so much easier and effective. The main thing I don't like about Enscape is that students still have to pay for it. I remember it used to be free, but now it isn't. If they could make it free for students again that would be awesome since as a student it is quite expensive and the university doesn't reimburse. That would be my only complaint about Enscape 3D. I like that Enscape 3D allows me to use it straight from Rhino, and I can add assets directly within Rhino. It makes my workflow smoother since I don't need to open sync software or Enscape separately to place assets. When designing in Rhino, I can see where all the proxy assets are, and I love being able to use Grasshopper scripts to place them.
