As a director who's not particularly tech-savvy, I absolutely love how user-friendly Enginemailer is. My team was up and running within days, not weeks! The contact segmentation feature has been a game-changer for our email blasts, we can now target our clients based on industry, engagement level, or where they are in our sales funnel, making our campaigns much more effective. The email templates are professional-looking and easy to customize, so our communications finally look polished without needing a designer. What really matters to me as a business owner is the reliable analytics, I can actually see our ROI with clear open rates and engagement metrics. The personalization options are pretty basic too, we can add names and basic details, but I wish we had dynamic content that changes based on what we know about each contact, like industry-specific recommendations or content that shifts based on their previous interactions with us. I also really miss having a mobile app. There are times when I'm traveling or in meetings and need to quickly check on a campaign performance or approve something, but I have to wait until I'm back at my computer. We were using a patchwork of different tools, one for storing contacts, another for designing emails, and spreadsheets to track everything. It was time-consuming and frankly embarrassing when our emails looked unprofessional or ended up in spam folders. The biggest problem Enginemailer solved for us was contact chaos. Our client database was scattered across multiple platforms, making it nearly impossible to send targeted communications. Now everything is centralized, and I can easily segment our contacts by industry, project status, or engagement level. This means we're sending relevant content to the right people instead of generic blasts that nobody opens. They've also solved our "looking unprofessional" problem. As a service company, our reputation matters, and our previous emails looked like they were designed in the early 2000s. I got a lifetime subscription to Enginemailer, so it's cheaper than competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Enginemailer? The API is trash. I can't use it for anything besides adding a subscriber. I can't create campaigns in it because of the size limit and campaigns created via API can't be edited. It's completely worthless. Even finding the docs is hard and they're not always accurate. Every time I've tried to do something with the API it hasn't worked right for one reason or another. The website is impressively slow. I can't put multiple images in one row of my email, I have to combine them in Canva first which is really annoying.
