When we got started, Encord handled all of the integration work, which was also very nice. **What do you dislike about Encord?** We've been using it for a while, and sometimes there are features that we didn't realize the platform had. The feature discoverability could be better, but their Slack support is very responsive in answering our questions. **What problems is Encord solving and how is that benefiting you?** We don't have to deal with any more of the old tools we were using. We had an open source tool before that was very painful to operate and were very happy to switch over to Encord. ### 2. Object tracking feature is really cool. I wonder how accutrate that can be when there is small drone/ flying object not that stable in the video. User can custom many things in editor setting. **What do you dislike about Encord?** Double click for bounding box is something to improve, One click, release and done. Video editor performance can be improved a lot, user with best resources are not able to get efficient throughput. **What problems is Encord solving and how is that benefiting you?** Labeling work for Computer Vision is where Encord comes in. Some of the functionality we required was not implemented in the platform initially (a minor dislike?), but the turnaround to put it on the roadmap and deliver it was great. We would like more flexibility in defining multilevel workflows (annotator oversight/QA) and/or annotator assessment **What problems is Encord solving and how is that benefiting you?** Encord enabled us to focus on vertical challenges specific to our ML startup and not the horizontal challenge of labelling data. ### 6. The ability to use micro-models and object tracking to create labels automatically has hugely improved our data annotation pipeline. **What do you dislike about Encord?** It's difficult to think of anything I dislike about Encord. It is an excellent platform with a brilliant and motivated team behind it. I believe that the process of adding pre-annotated data could be improved, but that's about it. **What problems is Encord solving and how is that benefiting you?** For us at EVERYANGLE, Encord solves the problem of how to annotate data automatically. We need to process data for multiple sites, which would not be possible without the automation that Encord provides. ### 9. Basically makes up for (m)any bugs we've encountered because we can count on the team caring - Open api! - Wide support for data structures - the problem we have with alternatives is they often don't support pose, subclassifications, etc. Encord works well for those types of data + as well as (as far as I can intuit) medical imaging, etc. specialty data **What do you dislike about Encord?** - The editor feels a bit "good old fashioned"; I would love a labelling editor that was built less like a Microsoft product, and more like a modern productivity product, like Linear, Superhuman, or VS Code. I think I could get more bang for my buck if our annotators had quicker workflows to work with. - Being fairly cutting edge in what we're doing, our flows evolve quite quickly. Often we end up making our own in-house labelling tools anyway, for specific / creative workflows we have. I wonder if there's a way for Encord to be the platform for that, so they can handle all the data transfer, authentication, hosting, etc. and allow you to build "extensions" like you would for an IDE. Basically, a Data IDE. I'm aware this may not be a trivial step from the current product, just sharing what *I* personally want / need **What problems is Encord solving and how is that benefiting you?** - Data labelling platform. A lot of the complicated stuff (pose labelling) we've not had to build ourselves, which has been nice. ### 10. The flexible ontologies are also very useful for custom data, adding stuff as you go and the requirements for the data evolves. **What do you dislike about Encord?** Downloading and uploading can be time-consuming when dealing with large amounts of data. The quality feature last time I checked was also slow, with a lot of waiting time between frame buffering. **What problems is Encord solving and how is that benefiting you?** A data annotation platform where we can easily create new datasets and try out new annotation types. Partly, the micro-models are helping, but i feel like there is more potential in speeding up video annotation. ### 12.
