What do you like best about empower?

The central library is really helpful to at least establish a foundation to maintain a well-organized corporate library of PowerPoint slides. The authoring tools add functionality that Microsoft failed to implement for years already (and probably never will). After moving the whole solution into the cloud the administrative effort is really small and the performance is much better. Support is good and regular updates provide more features. What do you dislike about empower?

A central user administration would be nice (shall be in the product soon). More insight into the history of slides would be nice. It remains a challenge to convince users of the benefits (but this is most probably not a particular problem of empower). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about empower?

- makes sure, that your presentations are consistent and in compliance with the corporate design with the Design Check

- Layout Tools allow you to easily and fast create and modify slides (would no longer like to create presentations without this)

- save slides, presentations and pictures directly in the Library

- sidebar to ease access for Library, Layout Tools & Design Check Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about empower?

- starting performance with currently up to 25 seconds

- missing personalization options for user, e.g. central or local activation of features, sizes of icons [it is nice to add Layout Tools, but it would be even better to say: "I want to have feature x always displayed big"] Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The long startup time that you experience might be due to other infrastructure problems as our startup time is usually only 2-3 seconds longer compared to the usual startup time. However in the latest version 9.0 the startup time has been massively improved. What do you like best about empower?

empower helps me finding slides much faster that have been used in previous presentations. Secondly, I can save a lot of time making presentations brand consistent. And last but not least, I can convert old presentations with a few clicks to adjust them to our latest templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about empower?

In previous versions, there was no automatic slide translation available, but that has been added recently. Thus, there are currently no downsides when using empower. However, switching back to PowerPoint without empower has become really painful ;-) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about empower?

- Creation and use of templates for our employees to be compliant with our graphic chart

- Creation of a library of documents and infographics to add to presentations

- Ability to add the brand's color palette

- Empower support is supportive and available Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about empower?

- Sometimes it may be complicated to adapt the format between and old document to a new one

- This problem might be independ of Empower but sometimes it happens that Empower crashes, making it complicated to be graphic chart compliant for some employees

The switch to the cloud version, but only because it somehow doesn't work properly at Drees & Sommer. The missing magnifying glass function in the library. The changed display of folders in the user library. The missing recycle bin function. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
