## Emma Reviews
  ### 1. Emma Is Fantastic

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeffrey G. | Co-Founder & COO, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma has been wonderful for our company and reaching out to our current and prospective clients. We have been blown away by their customer service, and I could not be happier about using them. I refer them out to anyone and everyone we work with.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

While I have stated that Emma has been a joy to work with we had some difficulty getting up and going. The on boarding process while pretty straight forward was rather time consuming which could be frustrating at times.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

If you'd like to get your email marketing under control, use Emma.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emma has really taken our email marketing game to another level. We can now easily get the word out about what's going on with our company.

  ### 2. Emma has robust email features and marketing automation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura W. | Digital & Social Media Strategist & Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I love the ease of building templates, uploading and managing email lists, and creating drip campaigns.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

There is not much to dislike. My one primary dislike is their auto emails seem to end up in spam when adding and managing users within an account.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

GIve it a try!

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lead generation, website visits, list growth, and social media following

  ### 3. Helps with my business needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katherine J. | Account Supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

super easy to use - drag and drop - great CRM

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

the template can sometimes limit what i'm able to do (colors, etc)

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

made it easy to communicate with customers + CRM

  ### 4. Effective marketing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** VALENTINA V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Digital marketing application aimed at providing a fast service, with a utility typical of major competitors in the market and an effectiveness that establishes it as one of the best for marketing management, while also facilitating feedback tasks through a series of notifications.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

One of the drawbacks is that it is only available in English. Although most parts can be deduced, it would be appreciated if this tool had more languages available to perform tasks faster.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

The App is a very good tool compared to the others that are dedicated to the same thing.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Through the App, the management of email-based marketing fulfills a logical and consistent function in which all the data used for the management of this department stands out above other tools that are not as fast, with the agility that is notable for achieving favorable and expected results.

  ### 5. Lacks flexibility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I like that it is possible to customize templates and make them look like your brand, and not like a cookie-cutter email.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I feel it takes a lot of steps to put an email together. It just doesn't feel very intuitive.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

It was here before I got my current position, so I don't know why they picked this one over others. My recommendation would be to analyze other options in the market before committing to this product.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We work in higher-ed and we use Emma to send emails and pitches both internally and externally. It does the job but I don't see a whole lot of extraordinary features in it.

  ### 6. Great Email System

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

For us, the email templates are amazing. We like that we are able to setup an email one time and then are able to reuse the same format and just plug in the new information/photos.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Its hard to find anything to dislike about the system. It is simple to use and provides great analytics. It may not be for everyone if they are looking for a very complex system and options.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to connect with our customers consistently and easily is huge for us. We can literally get an email out in 10-15 minutes.

  ### 7. They design the email for you costly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Alternative Medicine | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

They really take the time to design a newsletter for you exactly for your specifications for free. I paid 500 to my designer for a logo newsletter and invitation so this was a deal. They really talk to you to explain their product and their design team is wonderful and fast

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

The price was too expensive for me after I was using mail chimp and I no longer had the money I used to I think at the time on 2011 it was 10 dollars per month and my costs were already high plus they do not let you use a picture box so at the time I only had my home address

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

It’s great if you have an address and want to show a professional image and want to show off content. The design team is wonderful with no problems they give you exactly what you want where other designers don’t

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes a small business look a lot bigger and more professional for not a lot of money. You have to already have customers though. I had customers from old events 500 but I had not contacted them in a few years

  ### 8. Used this software when I have started my career in online marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lovely K. | Manager | Online Sales and Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I have started this Emma in the early of my career in online marketing. Emma is a basic email marketing software related to Ultra Mailer, MailChimp etc. I normally found nice looking user interface and templates to work with and sending emails to my thousands of clients. This email marketing software is faster enough. Emma is an easy email marketing solution for non technical person. Someone can easily create gorgeous templates and can run a campaign easily.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Hard to change the fronts to another fronts. The technical service is not too good enough. Sometimes it seems slower. At last, the price is not so reasonable that's we have switched to other platform. But, this software is enough for basic email marketing solutions.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

I have included some negative and positive issues in this review. Please first have a look on them. Then, if you are interested you can use it. This is a good software for email marketing.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used Emma for email marketing solution in the early in my career that I have started in my running company. I found this software good enough for basic need. Though I have some issues with this software but this software is good enough for the beginners. This is very easy to use Emma to setup and run a campaign for your email marketing.

  ### 9. MyEmma Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I like the ability to create from templates.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Formatting in myEmma is a pain. You have to be wary about selecting "Paste without styles" or "Paste with styles" and have to select everything but the first character to have it adopt the style you want. It is a pain to carefully paste text, and sometimes myEmma won't play nicely with bulleted lists. I also don't like how there is no "command z" function or back function. You can revert to earlier drafts, but a command would be nicer.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mass emailings to insurance agents, patients and internal communications. Nice to be able to handle these mass mailings and receive reports on how the mailing did.

  ### 10. It is very easy to navigate but has a few issues.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I like that I can easily navigate it and it is very organized. I can personalize all emails.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

When editing audience you have to click on the name, edit, save, press the back button, and it takes you to the top of the list, so you have to scroll back down to find your spot. It is time consuming.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Give yourself time to learn the system

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can send out mass emails so easily and quickly. You can also make campaigns which is super helpful.

  ### 11. Great Tool With Reasonable Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew C. | Director of IT and Media, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Everything is fairly straight forward, things are well documented and it’s easy to build and send an email.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Sometimes you can accidentally forget to change names when you duplicate a previous email to use as a template.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending mass emails, it really streamlined list sign up and email management.

  ### 12. Great service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma is a great, easy-to-use software with templates AND it has amazing customer service!

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

They do tend to nickel and dime a little bit (i.e. we recommend you have a custom template....and charge a lot to develop that for you...)

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Ask questions. Be sure you spell out what all you need, as some of their services cost extra, so your assessment of the annual or monthly fee could be inaccurate when determining the actual cost. And otherwise, listen to them! They're experts. Implement what they tell you to and watch your email marketing grow.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching our customers to give them the information they want. Easy to target/segment!

  ### 13. Pretty design, but was disappointed with customer service

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The design was a lovely template that was easy to format each month into a newsletter. Our customers liked the feel of it. We used Emma for several years.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I wasn't able to change the design layout without a rep. The fonts were limited. Drafts often didn't save properly. I put my account on hold when business temporarily closed and then was unable to recover my list when I attempted to reinstate the account.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Don't take a break and expect to recover your email list.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A stylish email template. Easy to use, and nice marketing tool.

  ### 14. Really enjoy working with Emma

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma is really user friendly and intuitive. The design options are great and the analytics are detailed. We are able to manage our lists very well and send very targeted emails to folks that we know what to receive them. Our client rep is very responsive and helpful whenever we run into a question or roadblock on our account.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Sometimes the template that we had designed for us can be very touchy. Just requires a bit of trial and error to get the hang of it. I don't love that when you are inactive for a certain period of time it logs you out, this is a security feature I imagine but I often work on an email and then go back to it later and then will have to log in again which is just a bit time consuming.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Work with the Emma team to get a template designed, this will help you in creating additional templates that have your brand incorporated well into the email. Also be sure to keep in touch with your rep, they will be the best person to reach out to when you have an issue and so having a good relationship with them is always super helpful.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We see that our customers love our new design with Emma and also tend to interact more. We also are able to keep better track of our email lists and target more effectively.

  ### 15. We are mastering email marketing using Emma.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patricia M. | Sales And Marketing Specialist, Insurance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma’a email newsletter templates are easy to use ,and I like how I am able to measure the effect of multiple subject lines for our newsletter campaigns and determine subject lines with the highest impact.
I also appreciate the effectiveness of Professional Services experts at Emma, who have improved our email marketing efforts and campaigns by providing us with customized newsletter designs , helping to effectively analyze campaign results, while giving us access to compelling email contents ,which have all come together to improve our sales conversion.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I have reservations about our inability to modify existing newsletter templates on Emma. Also data we save on Emma gets deleted after an eighteen month period, even if we are still active users and this makes very little sense to me.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emma has enabled us to maintain contact with current and especially former customers by putting us in their sights via our regular newsletters.Ensuring they are well informed and updated on every new products ,promotions and services we have available.

  ### 16. Emma is great

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I love being able to use the campaign templates to build a customized campaign.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Sometimes the campaign templates are weird with spacing between photos and text.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Marketing with Emma has been made easier.

  ### 17. Easy tool with massive impact

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dakota R. | Resident Director, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma’s easy-to-edit templates are a breeze to use and are a great way to start a mass mailing. Plus, their ability to test multiple subject lines (and see the results for which ones lead to the most clicks) makes it certain that your email will get the greatest engagement possible.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Emma forces you to choose small, medium, or large photos without an easy way to resize to exact dimensions. (This is due mainly to the fact that all Emma emails are optimized for mobile and desktop). It can be tricky to get the hang of in the beginning when you have a specific “look” you’re going for.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

I would definitely recommend taking a trial and implementing Emma in Phases. Trying to train an entire team at once may be a little overwhelming, but Emma is easy to work with once you know what you’re doing.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emma has been my go-to tool to ensure that my emails are being utilized. In my field, missed communications result in customers facing financial penalties, so its a huge bonus to have help in creating emails with high engagement. Another massive benefit has been in cost. Emma allows my company to send emails out for $.01 each. Compared to printing and mailing rates, Emma is a huge cost saver.

  ### 18. Very expensive

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian S. | Founder/owner , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I did like the custom features Maybe we used it when it was too new.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Well, customer service wasn’t great. I brought it into our agency when it first launched. Not very helpful

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Research other apps

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly we we solving their quirks with the software

  ### 19. Not fun to use!

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giovanna G. | Marketing Coordinator, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

It is a decent tool to keep all of your contacts in one place.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Pretty much everything. It was very clunky, and its interface was not user friendly in the least

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Use something else

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Contact management and email marketing. It kept our contacts in one place.

  ### 20. Sufficient Ease with low support

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Templates offer ease and variety of looks to use quickly with little experience needed.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Does not work with keyboard shortcuts or undo. Have to roll back to previous versions. Also, can only exclude one segment a time.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Expect to solve problems alone. Low to no tech support or customer service available.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allow users to sign up for news via website. Reach donors, clients, advocates and interested professiinals.

  ### 21. Emma is Super Intuitive!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma is essentially idiot-proof. It's easy to use and quick to learn for new users. It offers really helpful features, such as Subject Line Split-Test!

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I don't really have any dislikes about Emma. It's really easy to use. The only thing that could be improved would be more ability for customization, but things still end up looking great, so this is ok.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Emma is great! It is seriously so easy to use and has features that will help with optimization to help you work better and smarter. I have really no complaints, give it a try! It's a great tool for contact management.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emma allows us to communicate via email with lists of constituents quickly and efficiently. It helps us identify what messaging is best-received and what ways of cultivating generosity from donors are most successful.

  ### 22. Recently improved but still has a way to go

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The functionality is okay. I like the way you can instantly see the statistics on how effective your eblast is and the percentage of your audience that views it. They recently improved some of the problematic features which is good. Previously, you couldn't look at an eblast that you sent without it duplicating it and creating a new one.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

It is one of the slowest programs I have ever worked on. I spend more time watching the little circle spinning. Not sure why everything takes so long to load. You also can't delete files that you create in error.
It's a little clunky and is limited in its design capabilities.
One problem I would like to see solved is when you want to send out an eblast multiple times. You can only only set up one time. You have to keep duplicating the same eblast and making individual campaigns for every time you want to send it out which is ridiculous. You should be able to check multiple times for one eblast.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We send out all our eblasts through Emma. It's effective in providing an analysis of audience response. You can set up various groups to send to. You can set a time to send out eblasts.

  ### 23. Easy to use, create beautiful campaigns.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma is very easy to work in and creates lovely responsive emails. The features I appreciate most are the dynamic content, personalization, and segmentation options. The way that our team uses data doesn't allow us to use this feature, but you can also allow your subscribers to manage their email preferences.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Data is only saved for 18 months. Some reporting features aren't very useful, and I usually will extract data to do analysis elsewhere.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Make sure that you understand how list management in Emma works and plan out what options you want to give your subscribers for preference management before you start using the tool; just set it all up right the first time to save yourself any frustrations later! Especially consider what data integrations you may require and if the platform will serve you in that regard. (When I was hired and started using Emma, the platform was already set up and there are some features and data implications that weren't thought through.)

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emma allows us to quickly build and send successful campaigns, so the primary benefit to us has been less time spent on coding.

  ### 24. User-friendly and Efficient

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I like the ease of use - the templates are helpful and it's easy to upload mailing lists.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Sometimes it reformats my fonts and links when I send it out.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I send all of my businesses e-newsletters through Emma, which makes it easy to keep track of correspondence and contact lists.

  ### 25. Emma, she's worth it!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma is one the easiest email service providers to use. The ability to pick a pre-designed template or the ability to create your own great-looking email newsletter is just a few clicks away.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

At times the platform can run slow and/or the ability to edit a certain block in your newsletter becomes harder to do than it should.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Super easy to create an email - almost on the go - and know that the end user will receive a great looking email.

  ### 26. Mass Email Distributor

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cecilia R. | Marketing Coordinator/ Administrative Assistant, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma is really easy to use and its really to import the contacts, which is something that makes using this service super simple and user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I don't like that some of the services they offer have a cap to how many contacts one can have, and although they reset at the start of the month, this can be inconvenient for businesses like the ones I work for.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emma has helped my company reach out to a large crowd of students, which would've otherwise been hard to do without this service.

  ### 27. EMMA Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

That I can track to see who has opened the email, if it bounced, who clicked on links in the email

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Some clients don't open the email since they see it might be marketing, when opened on a mobile device the format is different and not as user friendly

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Great for the price to track marketing efforts and mailers

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting marketing emails sent out and being able to track them

  ### 28. Great tool for segmentation and easy creative upload

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I really like how easy uploading creative is on Emma. Previously I was using a different software which was really really annoying to upload—you had to slice an email up in 10 different slices and assign each slice with each link. Such a pain. Emma makes the upload process very simple. You can even upload gifs to animate your email, which helps things really pop. You can put emojis in subject lines which adds some eye-catching flair (previously I was unable to do that). The design options look great, and the rest feature works well.

I used it for segmentation with a very large national database and had no complaints.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

You have to upload a file with very specific dimensions. But that’s pretty simple to get used to, if you are adept at designing emails on photoshop and then uploading them rather than doing too much natively.

Also, extracting data is not the easiest process.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

If you want a solid basic, easy to use software with great features, for sure.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining the design process and using innovative creative decisions to increase CTR.

  ### 29. EMMA YUCK

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Nothing. Was way too difficult to use, learn, etc. Not user-friendly. You gotta be a programmer practically.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Everything. Just too difficult to learn and use. You gotta be a programmer for crying out loud.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Don’t!!!

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mass emails sent to lists of 1m or more recipients

  ### 30. Best drag&drop email platform out there

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The drag&drop feature of the email builder

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Not much but hoping to see them come up with a more powerful image editor.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Powerful email tool to make your emails look neat and professional and I can't emphasize the usefulness of the drag and drop editor

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simple email solutions for SMBs - neat, clean and professional looking emails which get higher open rate and CTRs

  ### 31. Reaching our client base with Emma

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trista B. | Marketing Manager & Maxwell Health Champion, Insurance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I love the ease of use. The ready-to-go templates save me time and brain power. Our clients get a beautiful, professional-looking communication from us. I can integrate and customize the look of my Eventbrite events into my emails with no trouble.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I don't like adding contacts to my Audience. I haven't mastered the bulk upload. I just need to take the time to work on the issues I experienced early-on that stem from bad exports from my agency management system.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Use the import / export functionality. Seems like a no-brainer, but my agency management system doesn't export system data into spreadsheets so this was a challenge for me during setup. No fault of Emma.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted our client base to know about all of the services we offer outside of insurance products. With Emma, I can get that information to them in mass or by industry (or Group in Emma).

  ### 32. Better than the rest, not perfect

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elle B. | Director of Capacity Building, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The templates are great and it's nice to support a Tennessee company.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Their codes change, say that I BOLD something, once I click SAVE it can turn it purple and a new font.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

It's the best of the market.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy use of opt-put.

  ### 33. Marketing made easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sophia m. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The product is easy to use, especially for marketing beginners

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Some features don't translate as well when using listservs with google mail (unsubscribe function).

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mass email marketing

  ### 34. Perfect for what it is used for.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miriam F. | Ophthalmologist, Medical Practice, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I love that it has everything that I need to make the perfect email advertising my company to others. It is professional, quick and easy to work with.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I don’t like the look of it. The format. I am a visual learner and the visuals aren’t appealing to me. Need something “cuter” in a way.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is so quick and easy to advertise. I don’t remember exactly what my company had been using before but Emma is so much better. Plus, it even sounds like my name!

  ### 35. Remarkably powerful for basic email marketing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma is remarkably simple to use for ANYONE—easy enough for those with little or no experience to drag and drop...creating a beautiful email and deploying it at scale

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

The automation and customization features aren’t robust enough to use an advanced email marketing tool, but what it lacks in power, it makes up for in simplicity.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emma makes communicating with stakeholders and prospects easy. It’s a remarkably affordable solution for someone who needs a simple tool for email marketing.

  ### 36. We love EMMA on our campus!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I love the branded look, pulling together lots of info from various areas.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

The integration to our LDAP/email system has created difficulties at times.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We realized our emails, both external and internal were flat. This has really helped.

  ### 37. Easy to Use Email Marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma makes it very easy to put together professional email marketing for my audience. I love that I can save templates or duplicate past campaigns to tweak them for a new newsletter. It really saves time.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I wish it was easier to segment your audience with a batch option. Going email address by email address can be a bit tedious.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emma has provided an easy to use, professional way to engage with my customers.

  ### 38. Great for mass emails

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I was able to send emails to all the people I needed.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Could be a little confusing at first but once you get in the groove of using it, then it gets better.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending a bunch of emails to clients

  ### 39. Great user experience!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The ease of use and the ease of design. I also enjoy the way you can filter through contacts and view who has clicked on any of the links within the email.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

The contacts section is frustrating to update. It can be very slow at times.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emailing a large quantity of people. Streamlining different sections of our company into one newsletter each week. Ease of editing from different people.

  ### 40. Emma gets the job done

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fund-Raising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

It's easy to use WUSIWUG interface allows for stylish emails to clients.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

There may be better options on the market. This is the only program like it I've used.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The business can successfully send scheduled stylish emails to a large email list.

  ### 41. My emma is the easiest platform to use for email marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I like how I am able to create templates and use the same ones for my weekly newsletter. It also lets use include videos, images, links. Basically, lets you create your own brand in an easy, fun way.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I don't really dislike anything. I just notice a fluctuation of scores from time to time but that's only normal!

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

I would highly recommend this to any company looking to reach out to a high number of consumers/ customers. Create engaging newsletters and replace the boring emails we usually receive. This is actually something fun to look forward to !

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching out to all the customers and updating them with any schedule changes, news, offers and promotions. People have been engaging a lot with the newsletters and waiting for the weekly ones to use as references for updates.

  ### 42. Excellent way to reach people

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

My workplace has only recently started using Emma, but we see a great benefit in it already. We are reaching people we normally wouldn't, and gaining new business.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

It could be a little more intuitive, but this is a minor complaint.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

It's relatively easy to use, great way to save time on sending out mass information.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching out to potential clients in an effective way, reaching MORE people in less time.

  ### 43. Intuitive Email Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James S. | Digital Designer, Hospitality, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

They just renovated the interface of the platform to be a bit more modern. They supply both an API and a custom form generator for you to choose either for collecting email addresses to feed your newsletter. You can segment your audience for email campaigns, upload excel sheets or CSV sheets of emails to your audiences, and do A B Testing on emails to determine best responses from your audiences.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Sometimes setting up the API to integrate with the backend of my wordpress sites with the GravityForms plugin is a bit tedious and finding the API information can be a tad hard to find in the new layout, but these are all things that the average person doesn't have to worry about. Command Z doesn't undo, you have to press the button that says "Revert Back To:" (which has a dropdown of the last autosave states of the email you are building out). The analytics are good, but I feel like there could definitely be more information and suggestive prompts of how to better make an email, or here are what these numbers can mean to you.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

It's a great tool and simplistic to use. It has a lot of features that most everyone needs, but when it comes to more technical stuff you need created, they will try to work with you but most likely will not be able to help you.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes the email campaign builder is glitchy and doesn't generate the best responsive design, but you just have to send yourself a test email before sending out the email to verify everything looks good.

Overall it's a great platform, easy to use, and the customer support service is above average.

  ### 44. I love my Emma

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

This company does it right! Everything is easy to use and simple to understand.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

There is nothing that I dislike about this tool at the moment.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

If you are looking for a easy to use e-newsletter program this is your best bet!

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to send emails to all of my contacts quickly and conveniently. It benefits me by allowing the stats to be easily read to know what our customers are doing.

  ### 45. Easy tool

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Nothing in specific. Would recommend people to use it

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User friendly

  ### 46. Mass email and communications with Emma

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Emma?**

How one can take a multitude of messages and contact

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

When people on the list decide to opt-out where on purpose or accidentally.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Contacting multitutde of people with out spamming

  ### 47. Flexibility is a double-edged sword

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin T. | AmeriCorps VISTA - Mobility Projects Coordinator, Non-Profit Organization Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The analytics of user visits, clicks, and interest are a great help. When you have direct information about who is clicking on what, and who are your most avid readers, you can draw conclusions about a dedicated sub-set of your mailing list.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Incredibly frustrating editing problems.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Emma has a great range of in-text editing flexibility, but they haven't worked out the kinks of realizing that flexibility without there being massive drawbacks. Reformatting links and text after copying and pasting is a massive time suck for me. Frequently, Emma will freeze an element, and a whole section must be deleted to clean up the mistake. I was bulleting a list, and the final bullet froze in the bottom of the 'jobs' section of the newsletter. I couldn't even click on the bullet to delete it. I had to copy and paste the whole section to a clean section; except EMMA has poor copy and paste functionality. I had to reformat every single change in text size, boldness, heading...EMMA will be the bane of your existence with piddling errors and trivial formatting issues. But, it will frustrate nonetheless.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to manage the mailings of our monthly mobility management newsletter, and track which users have clicked on what, and what topics over time have been the most popular.

  ### 48. Great interface and support team.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon M. | Director of Account Services, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

We enjoy the flexibility that we have in the system to structure the campaigns differently for each client that we are working with. The zapier integration has been extremely helpful for us to get the tracking into our system.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

There have been a few situations were parts of the platform that we would like to use are in beta and haven't been as easy to use or clear in how we can utilize them to their full capacity.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We create custom and automated newsletters for our clients using Emma as well as sending informational emails to our clients.

  ### 49. Works well but confuses me

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I love the ability to send a ton of information out. And the quality is incredible. It looks great.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

For me (and it may be operator error), it is not that easy to figure out HOW to make the presentation. The text features are almost counter-intuitive. And the help features do not really help with that.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

You must fiddle around with it for a while. It takes some time to really understand what you want to do with it. You will see constant improvement in your output, but the learning curve is very much upward. It is not extremely steep, but it does have a strong incline to it (the learning curve that is).

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I sent out videos and information to those that are in my area. It has accomplished the need of getting the information out, but it has not triggered major responses yet. Perhaps, once again, that is operator error.

  ### 50. Just doesn't have what Mailchimp does

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate S. | Program Associate, Imagery, Environmental Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I like the design options... new and fresh - different than the usual mailers. Easy to use and great analytics page.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

It just didn't have all the features we needed. Photos, videos, share buttons, etc. Needs a little more work before worth the price.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Cheaper until you get all the features

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving mass email comms. Similar to Mailchimp but cleaner.
