It scans Windows, macOS, and Linux devices to locate personal data, payment card information, and health records across machines, drives, and email systems. An on-device agent ensures raw files remain within the network during scans. The platform detects patterns for emails, identification numbers, card numbers, and health data, it deduplicates findings and provides meaningful results. Confidence scores prioritize remediation, while risk scores enhance compliance visibility. EmberHound supports GDPR, DSAR and PCI DSS compliance, and offers role-based access controls with audit trails. Features include local mailbox scanning, OCR for image-based documents, AES-256 encryption, masked previews, and audit-ready reports in PDF and CSV formats, with scan history and logs for compliance documentation.
