The ability to adapt your learning through Elucidat to your brands individual aesthetic is an excellent feature and really brings to life training. **What do you dislike about Elucidat?** I would say to improve the Elucidat authoring tool, it would be beneficial to have more quiz options and make things a little easier when editing for consistency. For example, with knowledge check questions, having to change text sizes, colours, copy every single time for each question can become quite a lengthy process. If there was a way to adopt a standard response and a standard feature to certain elements of the tool, this would be amazing. **What problems is Elucidat solving and how is that benefiting you?** Elucidat ensures we are able to provide learning to a large population of employees in a timely manner. It also allows us to adapt and make change when neccessary (which happens a lot in our business). There are in no particular orders. - Elucidat gives you much more control and more options over what you want to use or utilize as far as creating the materials compared to Articulate Rise. It's essentially a cloud-based version of Storyline - As a cloud-based software that's accessible via the browser, it makes collaboration and updates so much more seamless - By adhering to the standards of SCORM across the industry, it makes it easy for me to be able to upload the SCORM packages to our LMS and not have to worry about tinkering with it to make it work. It works straight ouf ot the box. - With its ease of use and implementation, a majority of our L&D has now transferred over to using Elucidat. - It allows for variations, which is useful since Indeed has various employees that all speak different languages, and by using those variations, employees can choose their preferred language, which is useful during our annual compliance training. **What do you dislike about Elucidat?** - Right now, Elucidat doesn't allow users to switch languages if they chose the wrong language. - Elucidat sometimes can be awkward with Totara as far as communication of completion status **What problems is Elucidat solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows us to develop training for wide variety of business needs that our company needs including training different roles on their job duties and it allows us to have a standardized approach to different style of trainings such as compliance, on the job training, and etc. **Official Response from Stavros Giannis:** > Hi Zach, thank you for your insightful feedback on Elucidat. The most important part is that I can upload Elucidat content directly to the Docebo learning platform, which is used for training. Compared to usual slides, content created through Elucidat is smooth to use and looks interactive. I mostly use Elucidat Create, and it even allows me to create content with AI and import .ppt files. **What do you dislike about Elucidat?** Creating content from templates is user-friendly, but when starting from scratch, it takes time to learn the tool. I like to say it is the happy medium between Rise and Storyline. It's not as vast and difficult to use as Storyline, but it is more powerful and harder to use than Rise. I love how customizable Elucidat is, but you don't have to start from scratch with every course you build either. My favorite thing about Elucidat is the text entry questions. It allows learners to reflect on what they are learning vs. just having stale multiple choice questions. Setting up text entry in Storyline is always a headache, but it's a breeze in Elucidat. Social polling is a fantastic feature as well - there is a lot of power in showing learners what their peers think. Overall, Elucidat is a fantastic authoring tool. They need to work out a few kinks with the tool but eventually I could see this tool being very comparable to Rise/Storyline in terms of quality. **What do you dislike about Elucidat?** Elucidat has a LARGE learning curve when you are used to using authoring tools such as Rise and Storyline. The layout vs. author tab takes a while to get the hang of because different settings are available in each tab, so you spend a lot of time at first switching between the tabs to figure out where you need to go for each setting you want. There is virtually no community for Elucidat, so you can't really Google anything in relation to how to use Elucidat and get an answer. Some of their help articles are also out of date, or don't cover the exact questions my team has had about using the tool. The review platform for Elucidat courses is wacky. We always have issues when we send a course to a SME or stakeholder to review and they have to try multiple times before they can get in (this could have something to do with our VPN). Regardless, any review tool should not require reviewers to create an account and we should be able to send the same course link to all reviwers vs. having to put in everyone's emails so Elucidat can send an email with a link to create an account, then it allows them to review the course. **What problems is Elucidat solving and how is that benefiting you?** Dynamic question types that are easy to implement, releases so I don't have to update the SCORM file in the LMS ever. **Official Response from Stavros Giannis:** > Thank you for taking the time to write a review of Elucidat. Sometimes if we delete an object in a tab the content other tabs also gets deleted. **What problems is Elucidat solving and how is that benefiting you?** We never know what actually we are doing until we are in the edit more but once we preview or publish the couse the look and feel itself changes. Content Development is a small portion of my job, even though I am the POC for my team. So I'm not sure if the investment is worth it for me and my team at this point. All of the how-to's are a wonderful resource for questions that I may have, when I do have time to explore the platform. When we are looking for that look and feel that Storyline gives is but need it to be responsive, then this is really where Elucidat comes into its own. **What do you dislike about Elucidat?** Unfortunately understanding the pricing structure is a little confusing as this doesn't work the same as usual subscriptions where you buy a license for the year.
