What do you like best about Elllucian Finance?

As an end-user, the reports are useful and the speed of reporting is adequate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Elllucian Finance?

Although both our financial and payroll systems are running Colleague, the financial reports do not include encumbrances for salaries (!!), making it effectively useless as an end-user. Apparently we need to purchase yet another "module" of the software to link the payroll and financial reporting systems. In other words, a shake-down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Elllucian Finance:

Don't listen to the salespeople, they don't know what their software is actually capable of doing. Speak to other users before making a decision, and be sure that you understand all of the various "modules" you'll require to meet your expectations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Elllucian Finance solving and how is that benefiting you?

Colleague was brought in to replace a mish-mash of home-grown systems. It has been a long and costly transition, but Colleague is certainly more robust than the older systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

User interface is still behind. It would also be nice if Banner used HTML instead of Java interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Elllucian Finance:

Banner is a large ERP application that does many things well. However, it does not do any one of those things exceptionally well. There is some details left out for the sake of a wider focused application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Elllucian Finance solving and how is that benefiting you?

General Accounting, HR, Student Accounts, Student Records, Registration, Recruitment. Modules are interconnected for seamless workflow and enhanced interdependence. . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that I was able to access infomation regarding budget and spending fairly easily once I learned how to navigate the system Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's nice to have pretty much all the business functions connected in one spot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Elllucian Finance?

I'm frustrated that we are still doing most of our business functions via paper. Find it crazy in this day and age that timesheets and budget work is still done via paper forms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
