TrustFlight TechLog is a digital aircraft technical log system designed to replace paper-based technical logs for airline operators, charter operators, and business aviation fleets. It satisfies all regulatory requirements for an Aircraft Technical Log and Journey Log under EASA, FAA, and GCAA frameworks, giving flight crews, CAMO teams, and operations a single connected system for capturing and managing aircraft records.
The system is built around three components: an iPad app for flight crew use on approved Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) devices, a web dashboard for operations, CAMO, and management, and a secure cloud-hosted core server that keeps all data synchronised in real time.
Key capabilities include:
- Flight and Trip Recording - Capture sector-by-sector trip data including fuel uplifts, flight times, crew signatures, and departure/arrival details
- Defect Management - Record, categorise, and track defects by ATA chapter with full MEL integration, deferral status, and days remaining countdowns
- Maintenance Checks - Manage Preflight, Daily, Weekly, and EROPS checks with configurable expiration thresholds and sign-off workflows
- Workpack Management - Group scheduled maintenance items and defects into workpacks for coordinated MRO sign-off, including remote sign-off for external providers
- Damage Mapping - Log and track structural damage via an interactive Dent and Buckle module
- Fluid and Fuel Tracking - Record oil, hydraulic fluid uplifts, and SAF blend percentages per sector
- Duty Logs - Auto-populate crew duty times from trip sector data
- Offline Capability - Full functionality on the iPad app without connectivity, with automatic sync on reconnection
Electronic signatures throughout the system are compliant with FAA AC 120-78A, EASA Part M.A.306(a), and EASA Part ORO.MLR.110, making Tech Log a recognised replacement for paper records with regulators worldwide. Multi-AOC support allows operators holding multiple certificates to manage different fleets and configurations within a single system.
Tech Log is part of the TrustFlight Aerospace Safety Intelligence Platform, which also includes Centrik for safety and compliance management and SmartSuite for regulatory document tracking.
