Egnyte works well enough for our remote worker architecture collective because it allows us to maintain a folder structure and access files locally from our computers while still syncing to the cloud. The desktop integration feels fairly seamless, so working on CAD and smaller revit project files is about as smooth as possible for a cloud platform. Upload and sync speeds are generally solid. However, we run into some issues for larger workshared revit files. Generally, once Egnyte is set up properly, everyday use and permissions granted, opening, saving, and sharing files is straightforward for most team members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of our larger revit files become an issue when trying to synchronize, so this works bets for smaller or non central files. Managing folder permissions can be frustrating. The system is powerful but not always intuitive, so if the person organizing them isn’t very precise, permissions can get messy or overly restrictive. I've gotten locked out of folders I needed on a time crunch, so I was made a Power User. I do think the pricing may be a little higher than other options, as I beleive our admin is trying to limit our number of power user seats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
