And access to large amount of courses. Which are mostly open source. **What do you dislike about edX?** Not much courses are available for specific fields, the courses offered are either general or too broad to be ready to start working in the market. **What problems is edX solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have learned to code on linux system using edx courses. However, i was not able to resolve any real world problem yet. This will help in the formation of basics and will give you an overall idea of the technology you are pursuing. **What problems is edX solving and how is that benefiting you?** I learned the basics of data science with python and ruby. After that, I decided to move forward with the python. This helped me in making a choice of language to move forward with. ### 5. Everything that has been produced and published on edX have been interesting, well produced, and overall well executed on the side of the educators. There are lots of options for 'live classes', and you can always take 'dead classes' once they are over. The option to pay for certification is a great benefit. **What do you dislike about edX?** It's too big. The interaction function is horrible with other students and the teacher and while it works and works well functionally, it doesn't serve any truly usefulness as a function of learning because there's too many people. It would be great to offer groups or pairing that would allow for better accountability. **What problems is edX solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is great to have as a resource for additional training and professional development and great way to get ideas about course design and structure from many leading colleague universities. ## edX Discussions -
