I honestly can't think of a positive thing to say about it where Synergy is in any way better than our previous student management/gradebook software from the perspective of a classroom teacher. Frequent coding issues after updates Queueing reports takes such a long time as EVERYONE in the corporation using the platform who submits a report has to wait on all the previous ones Frustrating to use, many features such as autofilling empty cells and simple individual comments are not present Unclear use of wording as "Total Score" represents being out of 10 points (for example) and the weight that assignment has is represented by the word "Points" when it actually represents the weight of the assignment. It frequently logs me out and I have to log back in It goes down nearly once a week and we can't enter grades It wasn't ready for the first 8 days of our school year Teachers with background in programming are called upon to help solve problems instead of Synergy support or corporation representatives Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Synergy is a great system for taking roll and establishing communication with parents. It create an easy way to complete grades and it allows parents to see student behavior. It was so easy to learn this new platform for work. The program has so many options and its easy to figure out. I love taking daily attendance through the program. When I had to add in my report card information it was so easy to do compared to other programs like Siebel. Before I got used to it when I was taking attendance somehow Id mark all students late than just the one I was trying to make late. I think I figured it out now I dont do that anymore. They do not have a chat feature or customer support phone number, so even though we pay a substantial fee, it is actually our internal staff that have the burden of helping all of the users to figure this out. You have to click many different navigation buttons to get to one place and the information is often disorganized. When using Synergy SE, the system takes more than 3 minutes to load any pages or perform any action, as well as teachers having to have a template handy to navigate what each drop down actually means. Not using Synergy. Anything BUT this would be outstanding. Sometimes, I think just using a spreadsheet in Google Docs would be more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Synergy Education Platform? Basically everything about it. It wold be okay, if it were 1995. To get from the grade book, to the parents' email address, and then back into the grade book takes a lot of steps. I dont know why relevant data cannot be located together, without having to switch pages. Schools already have slow enough internet- Synergy is almost unusable, at best. I have been using it for over 5 years now. I have offered many many suggestions for improvement, and have yet to see any of them even be acknowledged. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
