We will now have to write a script using their API to re-encode our videos, a service that they should offer as a part of the product. This has made it very hard for us to upgrade to their HTML5 player, and in the meantime we are dealing with Flash issues. Recently a Flash update was put out that made our videos unplayable for a short while, unacceptable as videos are our main product and how we make money as a business.

I didn't like Limelight. Simply put, we paid too much for the benefit it gave us and the amount of traffic we got. When I came to the company I work for now, we were using Limelight to host our training videos. Reality is, for the traffic they receive, we were paying WAY TOO MUCH for the bandwidth and usage.
