The Ecwid website is user friendly and you can manage everything for your store in one place. That's what I love most about this website. I canceled my godaddy account and made this website my business home for my brand. I started off with a free account then upgraded to venture where I could expand my brand with up to 100 products I could sell to my customers. Also with a lot of options for marketing and connecting your facebook and instagram shop and more. All of that is on one platform so it is very convenient for me to be able to manage everything I need to promote and sell my products even faster because of the advantage this site gives you as an entrepreneur. Customer support is very friendly and they are very prompt when asking your questions and getting your matter and issues resolve as quickly as possible. On my days off from work I am checking my website for updates and when I am not I get emails from Ecwid about how my store is doing and any tips to help me to promote my store. The integration from facebook and instagram setup was a good start to getting more viewers to my site as well as pinterest. Thanks Ecwid for the amazing features and making being a seller easier. It is no disadvantage to setting up a store on this website because it is so easy to do. I love it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ecwid has been incredibly helpful in growing our business. Not only are the plan prices reasonable, but they are jam-packed full of features. Integration is a breeze, and the backend is easy to navigate. Best of all, Ecwid has a definite growth mindset; they are always listening to our feedback and implementing suggestions on how to better improve the operational side of things with new features and key updates. They are incredibly responsive and you are always talking to a person when you need help! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some features that could be implemented, but we understand that it takes time when a recommendation is given. We are generally very happy with them and there aren't really any downsides in our experience! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of pluging in into existing site
Ease of use
Ease of adding payment option
You can start your site in like few hours!
Great customer support
Very good value for more Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest downsides are:
- slow loading speed of the shop page (its definitely not my issue, its Ecwid weak point confirmed by many in the industry)
- if not properly integrated into your site, Ecwid product pages won't be indexed via search engine crawlers. If you do proper integration with Wordpress (for example) that should not be an issue
- lack of choices of additional apps comparing to Shopify (no klaviyo, very basic gift card and cross sell)
So in general, if you are starting out Ecwid is fantastic platform! Once you start growing to million dollars level of revenue its probably time to switch to something more solid Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's user friendly and intuitive. I'm not a "techy" person and it was easy to set up my online store. They have so many things you can integrate in your site. They have third party apps that you can or remove for low monthly fees depending on the app. You can customize a lot of things without being techy. You can add extra pages. It's for someone who wants to quickly get up and running with their store without a lot of extra "fluff". THe customer service is amazing! The app runs so smooth and is easy to maneuver. They have tutorial videos on YoutTube, they have very useful articles. They even have a free version if you just want the basics! I am a small business owner and first time online shop owner and they have made things very smooth for me. They also listen to customerfeedback. Many people requested the ability to add pages (me included) and 2 months after my request, I get a follow up that the feature has been enabled!! I was so happy! I use it every single day (multiple times a day sometimes) and it regularly gives me reports, it's easy to process orders and communicate with your customers. I'm really enjoying my time with ECWID and I see myself sticking around for a long time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside is that trying to do any kind of very specific customization for your site is going to be very costly but that's why they offer the 3rd party apps and they are working to see how they can improve. I also think that if you get a site/online shop with ECWID, it's not right for someone who wants to customize every little thing. It's for someone who is okay to use the customizations already built in with some flexibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I populate our Ecwid store on a daily basis with a CSV upload, which is created from an Excel macro file that pullis in daily and weekly inventory data feeds from our POS system and purchasing department to control availability and pricing. Many of the formulas in the Excel file include HTML code, which allows for some really unique customization. Between that, the customization available to me as the end user, and taking advantage of Ecwid's Custom Development team, we have a website that is addresses the unique pricing structure and disclosure requirements of rent-to-own and is considered by most to be best in class in our industry. On top of that, Ecwid was easy to implement and is easy to use. Their support team is superb, and Ecwid easily integrates with just about any CRM (we chose HubSpot). And their pricing (we are at the top tier) is great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing to dislike. We have not found any downside. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The products I sell require a lot of custom fields and Ecwid is so simple to setup with multiple custom fields with the ability to add cost per customization. I looked around at multiple store software and they either didn't have the options that I wanted or was confusing to use and setup. If you're just starting out, you can use Ecwid for free for up to 10 products and enough of the options available to manage your store, you can start making money today! It also connects to other store streams such as Amazon, Facebook and more to make it easy enough to sell your products and get your brand onto multiple platforms with just a few clicks. I use a paid plan but can't edit or create invoices and I believe that should be a part of any paid services Ecwid offers. I have a lot of customization to my products and sometimes customers mess up or change their mind. It doesn't happen a lot and making a note of the change isn't a big deal, but I'd rather send their product with the proper marked invoice/packing slip to match what they wanted. The Ecwid platform is such a great creation tool for my business, it is straightforward and easy to navigate, non intimidating for those who aren't computer savvy, ut want to start entrepreneurship. The best thing I like about Ecwid is most functions are instantaneous, live to your site, BAM DONE! You can get so much done quickly,! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I tend to make multiple products from one logo, I just wish as I created the first product I could chose what product I want to accompany a whole outfit or home decor in one fell swoop, Ecwid gives about 5 options at a time for clothing, I am a power user I'd like to see at least 15-20 options to quickly create several products at the same time, basically better batch processing of multiple products, also mock-up downloads, should be a bit more streamlined Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
