I like the fact that Ecwid is continuously updating. There's always new things being developed and lots of new additional tools. I also appreciate the great degree of flexibility in the way you can modify and adjust your store. They're setting up new commercial friendly tools, so you can very quickly and easily set up your own store, and it includes a website, making the entire process of ecommerce much simpler. The pricing is great, and it's very quick and adaptable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Ecwid? The shipping integrations were not amazing. I had to rebuild my own because it doesn't tailor to international ones. So I had to build my own shipping logic and methods. Likewise, trying to pair that together with the individual items was quite difficult. I had to build essentially my own custom solution. It was quite difficult because we needed to make some modifications to what we wanted to achieve, and the API wasn't fully robust. I use Ecwid for centralizing payment and shipping terms, utilizing developer tools and APIs, making ecommerce simpler with continuous updates, and setting up my store quickly with flexibility. It's fairly intuitive to use. Edits and updates can be done via my phone or computer. I can update inventory in real time. I don't ship outside the USA, but did not realize I had to adjust a few settings to prevent orders from coming in from outside the USA and Ecwid had answers that were clear and easy to follow. It is a very easy-to-use, reliable eCommerce app. I use it every day to manage my orders and to list new products. Probably having to pay more for unlimited product numbers. Also, I'd like to be able to edit URLs. I'd probably like it to evolve a little bit more from its add-on to existing website beginnings to a more fully fledged website. Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) 5/1/2023 "Great product options, less checkout versatility for service-based businesses" 4/5 What do you like best about Ecwid? Sooo many options for products. As a balloon company, I can put options like colors, length, embedded pictures, and so many more with text fields, radio buttons, etc. Plus, I can assign cost values for each option so a client can know that adding foil balloons to their selected garland will cost an additional $5 per foot and it recalculates the total cost instantly as they select options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Ecwid? As great as the product options are, Ecwid is clearly designed for mailing out products. As a service-based company, we're constantly having to reinvent the wheel to get options at checkout. Delivery windows are rigid. Adding a button to say "We want teardown for $75" at checkout would cost us hundreds of dollars of programming, so we develop workarounds. When you try to add mileage costs based on zip code, it takes more workarounds, and if you want to add a percentage of cost as a rush order fee or something similar, it just doesn't have the versatility. We still appreciate and endorse the product, but it's best for mailing out t-shirts, not running a service business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Ecwid is an e-commerce platform that I've been using for my business, and one of the things I really like about it is the customizability of the checkout process. I'm able to add custom fields to the checkout page, which is really helpful for gathering more information from my customers or making the checkout experience more personalized. Another great feature of Ecwid is that the preorder option is built right into the plan, so I don't have to install a separate app. That saves me both time and money since most 3rd party apps are subscription-based as well Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Ecwid? However, one area where I think Ecwid could improve is in the available themes. Some of them seem a bit outdated, and I'd love to see some more modern options. Before using Ecwid, I had to manually keep track of all the preorders I received, which was time-consuming and prone to errors.
