What do you like best about Ecobot?

I like that Ecobot provides information on hydric soils descriptions, soils, and NWI data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ecobot?

When a hydric soil indicator is chosen, the small box at the very bottom is not automatically updated to reflect hydric soils. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thanks so much for your great review! It’s important to our customers that Ecobot helps our customers make better decisions faster, not make decisions for them. While we automate and auto-calculate certain data in Ecobot, it’s critical that the field scientist is the one making the final determination.

What do you like best about Ecobot?

Ecobot has helped us tremendously! Streamlined data forms, quick and easy organization of data with ease of use and accessibility throughout the company! Thank you for giving us such a great review. Our plant list is consistent with the most recent National Wetlands Plant List (NWPL). Per the manual, “species that are not listed on the wetland plant list are assumed to be upland (UPL) species. However, recent changes in plant nomenclature have resulted in a number of species that are not listed by Reed (1988) but are not necessarily UPL plants.” If you’d like to list a plant that isn’t in our database, you’re able to type directly into the Scientific Name field and select your desired indicator status. Indicator status can always be changed manually, even in cases where it automatically populates based on your region.

We’re glad Ecobot has worked so well for you! Editing your data in the web dashboard or the app ensures that any changes you make are captured in the project database. When you regenerate your project files, edits will be consistent across all of your project files (PDF, CSV, and Shapefiles).
