I love that the app automatically completed the vegetation equations. This can sometimes take a lot of time in the field or back at the office so this feature helps to save time and budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the app is difficult to use when service is spotty. Specifically, the NWI and soil mappers are not able to be accessed. Would be great if there was a way to allow offline access to these features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Regarding offline usage, the Ecobot app is fully functional offline, but linked resources such as the NWI and soil mappers do require cell service or internet connection since they are accessing a website. If you have more ideas to share, please reach out to support@ecobot.com.
The ability to quickly check plant indicators and review hydric soil indicators is very helpful. The computer interface is well-organized and easy to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not being able to search for species if unfamiliar with spelling or particular common names is frustrating. Not being able to search for things with hyphens unless you type the hyphen out is also a time-sink at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ecobot makes data entry for wetland delineation forms quick. I'm less worried about losing data since it saves to the cloud and there are no paper forms involved. The feature to pull in soil and NWI information based on the wetland's location is helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Searching for plants by common name doesn't always give the expected results. However, there are so many names for a given species that this is a reasonable hang-up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We appreciate your feedback on common species available. It is challenging to distill a list of several thousands of common names down to a manageable number (especially when one plant may be referred to differently throughout the US). We refer to the USDA Plants Database to build our list, and will share your feedback with our Product team!

Some drop-downs are a little overwhelming in size (i.e., landforms). I would like if you could "favorite" plants so that they come up immediately for ones typically seen in your region. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Regarding plant names, Ecobot vegetation lookup data is a combination of the 2018 USACE National Wetland Plant List (NWPL) released on May 18, 2020, with common names and symbols added from the USDA PLANTS Database. Also includes twenty-four frequently observed species not found on the NWPL.
