The easy to navigate UI, mingled with many features like writing scripts to manipulate excel tables and load data into databases.

**What do you dislike about Eclipse?**

The fact that it doesn't provide a direct plugin to ingest excel documents, we had to use packages to deal with the excel data.

**What problems is Eclipse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us in writing java scripts to fetch the user data from excel sheets and store it into sql databases to that our analytics team could use that data.

my experience with eclipse is good,this is best ide for the developers to develop applications and it is open source. For java developer it is the best ide to use,it also give suggestion to make the the project easy.it is the best ide for beginners to learn and manage. this is used for developing mobile apps,entireprise applications and standalone applications.
implementing ecliplse in you system is simple.in eclipse  ide  the java application integration with database is also easy to  connect.
I use the ide frequenty for my project.

This ide takes a lot of memory and the system sometimes may turns slower except this it is the best ide.the customer support is also good.

For a Beginner to get started with Programming, I would suggest eclipse as a good tool to start with. It can give someone a good idea regarding the real time project structure

When dealing with a real time Project Framework it's little hard and irritating the xml files to get configured with other project files. Importing a maven file doesn't helps immediately, that requires Eclipse restart sometime

**What do you like best about Eclipse?**

Eclipse is that IDE that supports many of my useful programming languages and its customizable plugins make it easy to go coding. It is beneficial for business development, and as well as for educational goals.

**What do you dislike about Eclipse?**

Although it is a powerful IDE, I sometimes experience performance issues such as slow startup times and lag, mostly when I use multiple plugins. It is less durable for older or less specification devices. Its interface initially can be difficult to understand for the new user due to the various features and options provided to its users.

**What problems is Eclipse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was a software developer before when i started using Eclipse professionally. In my current role, I use Eclipse to develop Java applications. My training included learning how to manage code libraries, perform code conversions, debug, and run JUnit tests in Eclipse. I also learned how to use plugins like EGit for version control and Maven for project management. Eclipse's user-friendly interface and powerful functionality were important in my early development work.

Ecplise has a Maven Update and Maven integration, in which the project can update the dependencies itself, also Eclispe is very easy to use and vey helpful for Java Developers.

Also if we look for ORM, it is very easy to map object to entites using STS ecplise

The Eclipse is really easy to use once we get started with it, however the proper installation on mac and library support documentation is not very clear.

My project had multiple dependencies for which earlier i used to send the raw links or zip file containing dependencies, now it is very easy to manage, Also in order to use updated dependency it is very useful.

Eclipse is one of the best IDEs available in the market for java development. It provides an excellent support for making the development much easier by its built-in plugins available. Also, it provides debugging feature which helps in identifying the bugs fastly and more effectively. Along with this, it provides good auto suggestions which saves a lot of time while writing code. It's community support is huge so it makes even beginners to start their eclipse journey with ease.

Eclipse is not light weight which requires a good amount of RAM. So, it takes some time to start and update the project. Also, it doesn't not have very efficient multi language support when compared to other IDEs.

Eclipse is the most known IDE for JAVA. And this IDE is friendly beginner which is best for a person that has started to code ing JAVA. It has a lot of great features, one thing i like is the code assistance feature of eclipse that help me to edit my code, debug, testing and version control. I also love that they integrated the git because its an everyday use for the developers in any programming language. I also like that Eclipse can support different operating system so that it can be easliy acccessible by everyone with different operating system. I also like the fast and reliable customer support of eclipse because they provide feedback fast from the users thats why a lot of user use Eclipse for everyday coding.

However i honestly dont like the part of using eclipse because it is a heavy application and having a low specs device will give you  a hard time to run the application.

Eclipse appears to be an excellent ally for students entering the field of software development like me. I have been using Eclipse for years and it is my personal favourite.

Eclipse has not disappointed over the years of usage delivering same quality and hence I don't have anything to dislike.

*by adding the jars and maven repo we can use extended version like spring as well as we can connect the data base

"some times it wont update properly and it will take so much time to update

Begginers may find some trouble while using it it, but after regular use you wil fall for ease of use.

I have been using Eclipse for so many years. I love the interface of this IDE compared to other IDEs in the market. 
It supports selenium and appium drivers installation for mobile app and web app automation along with Testng and JUnit plugins.I think debugging is smoother and easier.

**What do you dislike about Eclipse?**

I think in my opinion eclipse is specially made for java developers  which supports most of the things and too many plugin options available, being a python guy that makes me think to whether prefer this IDE compared to others.

**What problems is Eclipse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been using Eclipse for so many years. I love the interface of this IDE compared to other IDEs in the market. 
It supports selenium and appium drivers installation for mobile app and web app automation along with Testng and JUnit plugins.I think debugging is smoother and easier.For being a beginner , setting up eclipse and related plugins installation is easier .JAVA and its frameworks works better on Eclipse.

Very popular Java IDE  and great community support

Available for free and a lot of enterprises use it for their Java development

In built supports for popular build tools like Maven, Graddle and in IDE supports for connecting with Application servers like Apache tomcat and various database like Mysql and Postgres which increases productivity

**What do you dislike about Eclipse?**

Its loosing its popularity against the IntelliJ Idea and after using IntelliJ its becomes difficult to switch back to Eclipse for java development

Its UI/UX can be improved a lot 

Sometime it hangs when working with big projects 

it doesn't have other language IDE for example for web development, Go and python language development which is not the case with Jetbrains(creator of IntelliJ IDEA), which makes developers working with multiple languages to stick with IntelliJ IDEA as their IDE has similar look and feel and same shortcuts

I tried Netbeans and InteliJ Thought at that point. Netbeans was slow, weighty, did any undertaking at all instinctive way. JBuilder was costly and in this manner unreasonably expensive for us. Have been using eclipse for automation script updating.Since it gives frameworks dependencies it is easy to create the framework from the scratch level. Since we can merge with Git.It is easy to run the automation job tool setup.overall go to tool for a automation test engineer

Sometimes eclipse market place is either slow or not downloading files it requires restart to make it working again.And during this restart its taking more than 5 minutes to open again which is impacting the productivity.

Ecipse is most useful for java developer like if you want to create enterprise,web,standalone,maven these all you can create from the same ide.
It gives frequent updates,most demanding IDE of IT Industry.
Installation process of Eclipse is easy compare to other IDEs.
It supports other programming languages also,but personally i use for java language,because it has support for java development.

This thing always irritates me when i try to install a new tool or plug-in from Eclipse  market place, you need to restart the Eclipse IDE.
It consumes lot of memory when dealing with large/complex projects.
Low on performance because of its heaviness.
But still there is no replacement for eclipse because of its support for the developement tools and integration of project management tool.

Like I am a Java developer, if I want to run java code and see its output, then I can see it, where is the error, i can also fix at the same time with the help of which I can write error free code in Eclipse, because eclipse error catches error while writing code itself.

Making an app too big might cause the screen to freeze. Shortcuts don't always work the way they should.
