This all-in-one approach simplifies the experience for both instructors and students, reducing the need to juggle multiple tools. Echo360's integration of lecture capture, captioning, and student engagement tools into a single platform is especially valuable from both a support and instructional standpoint. For instructors, it lowers the barrier of entry because once they learn the system, they can access multiple features without needing to adopt and manage separate tools. This streamlines course design and delivery. From my perspective as an administrator, this integration also simplifies training and support, allowing me to focus on helping instructors maximize one platform. Additionally, Echo360's outstanding support during the initial setup and rollout, including on-campus training and ongoing workshops, has been invaluable. Their support has consistently helped me solve any issues I couldn't figure out on my own. I also appreciate the gradebook integration between Echo360 and Brightspace D2L, which is a very nice feature. **What do you dislike about Echo360?** While Echo360 offers a strong set of features, there are areas that could be improved, particularly from an administrative and reporting viewpoint. One of the main challenges is the lack of a comprehensive dashboard that allows administrators to easily monitor contract usage. Maybe even introduce a new 'Super Administrator' role to the platform so only designated administrators have access to contract usage and reporting numbers. With the introduction of their Browser Based Capture, end users can easily use the same functionality of the downloaded application without needing to download anything. The best part of these recordings is that you have a super clear side by side recording. One full window of your screen share, and one full window of your camera capture. This is very useful for faculty and students who are sharing presentations. Echo360 also includes a very basic editor that is great for quick editing funcitons. **What do you dislike about Echo360?** There is not much I have found to dislike with Echo360. My main issue would most likely be the licensing structure. Four our industry, it goes by number of active users, which includes users who have only logged in one time the entire year. It is a cumulative number that grows the first time each user logs in. **What problems is Echo360 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Echo360 not only gives us a platform for video content, but it also allows us to use simple polling within the video presentations to create an active learning environment. ### 5. It allows me to keep the audience engaged, check their emotional response, verify the acquisition of knowledge and stimulate their problem-solving skills. It is easy to use (especially with the AI question-generator), completely and smoothly inegrated into the presentation, very intuitive to use and apply. Ask the audience to scan a QR code on the screen or monitor and your'e in business, live or online. Other features allow me to create groups for competitions, contests, etc. Reporting is simple, detailed and easy to analyze. Pefect for synchronous and asynchronous training. **What do you dislike about Echo360?** Nothing essential, but I'd like to keep animations created on PPT. I mjst say that ECHO 360 team has been very attentive and responsive to my suggestions. **What problems is Echo360 solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main benefit is the audience engagment. Validating the aquisistion of essential point is done quickly and efficiently. Once students have done there part the usage is very stable. I also like that I can upload quizzes right after class in about 2 minutes. One unexpected advantage of daily quizzes has been the ability to see who is struggling and have a pattern of performance (attendance, scores, etc.) when engaging in correction or intervention. I use a few of the advanced features at times, but even just sticking with the basics has become a strength of the class. The energy rises when the bar graph shows 50/50 on a true/false. Sometimes I reveal a winner, sometimes I will quickly repoll and say "convince someone your right!" and more often than not the correct answer comes in at a higher percentage. Customer support has generally been strong over my time using the program. New student videos for how to register have come in timely manner. In addition, I've literally sent problem session files and had experts help me out. I've used it for many years and have never felt like I've been left without a solution. **What do you dislike about Echo360?** I'm sure everyone has there wish list of additional features. My current top three are to be able to set a session value instead of just a question value so I could consistently say that each daily quiz is 15 points. Currently it depends on how many questions I ask or I need to manually adjust each question. Secondly, I wish it could scatterplot but that may be a PowerPoint limitation. Finally, I wish it would tell me who is answering in the room vs. remote. I do want sick students to stay home, but I'd like to be able to see any patters of concern. **What problems is Echo360 solving and how is that benefiting you?** I teach dense material (research methods) in a large enrollment setting (N=120) to students who don't think they'll need it. I needed frequent perception checks, assessments and incentives for attendance. Echo does all of these. Some questions are sources of humor as well as assessing comprehension. Others focus on being hard because the particular content is hard, but the quiz reveals a "difference that makes a difference." I also often allow collaboration which fosters community in a large class. ### 7. The ability to gather student feedback in real time is crucial to ensuring student understanding while fostering active engagement. I love how it integrates with Canvas allowing for quick grading. As someone who uses Peer Instruction for most of my sessions, Anywhere Polling is my product of choice after using many different options. **What do you dislike about Echo360?** I like that the desktop applications get an upgrade on a regular basis but this does mean that I need to coordinate the update with our tech team for our classroom tech carts. This can occasionally cause an issue if I don't plan ahead. **What problems is Echo360 solving and how is that benefiting you?** I needed a way to privately view student responses in real-time to determine overall understanding of a concept. This allows me to repoll questions without students being swayed by seeing the answers of their peers. This fosters much better discussion time and engagement from students while allowing me to adapt my session time to the most misunderstood concepts. ### 8. It offers active learning features and analytics that the faculty find extremely helpful for delivery of asynchronous content, and synchronous classes equally use it for polling and review options. From an institutional perspective, Echo offers us an affordable cloud-based solution for video storage, which would otherwise not be feasible in our LMS. Additionally, we have had an excellent experience with support needs, as their support team has consistently addressed needs quickly, including feature requests. **What do you dislike about Echo360?** While it is beneficial to have more than one integration option for Echo360, some of them can be technically clunky, requiring multiple clicks and back end work, particularly when trying to use video across multiple semesters and having to clone sections. It can prove to be a steep learning curve for many faculty. The B2 to LTI needs have been somewhat slow, also. **What problems is Echo360 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Video files tend to be large and are not feasible for direct embed in our LMS. Echo solves this problem with unlimited cloud hosting and direct integration options. It also user authenticates, allowing faculty to collect data on user views and other analytics, particularly when faculty take advantage of the additional features such as polling, confusion flags, and note taking. Echo also offers a solid video production platform to help faculty easily create videos and manage them in the Echo library. ### 9. The interfact for creating documents is intutive and simlpe to keep designers within brand guidelines and contraints for consistent content. **What do you dislike about Echo360?** If you have a more advanced team of multimedia designers who are accustomed to the full availablity of Adobe Suite, they can be constrained at times by Inkling. This allows students to see the feedback or correction at the moment the mistake is made in their assignment. It also allows me to grade and provide feedback that is more complete. If I were to grade in-person in real-time, important things can be missed. Students can also view the feedback more than once -- a feature not available when giving feedback in class. The system is also relatively easy to use on both the instructor and student sides. I was the only faculty member in my department using GoReact when the pandemic hit and classes moved to remote delivery. I was able to quickly teach my sign language faculty how to connect their Canvas courses with GoReact, set up assignment, and record feedback. We connect our Canvas courses with GoReact so students only need to use one platform to submit their assignments. The grades I give them automatically populate to Canvas which is very convenient. **What do you dislike about Echo360?** There isn't much to dislike about this product. GoReact was really good when they started, and they've only continued to improve. I don't care for the cost of this product. Our textbook is already expensive and requiring an additional $30 access code can be a barrier for students. I wish our book could be bundled with the code -- some textbooks are. I'd like to see more of an effort from GoReact to establish these connections with textbook publishers. **What problems is Echo360 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Originally, I was only using it in one course to eliminate the need for in-class presentations and to give me more class time for instruction. Now that all of my courses are taught remotely, I use it out of necessity -- I need a way to provide feedback to students that is more effective than in a crowded zoom meeting. ### 19. I often receive feedback from colleagues who really enjoy the ability to create functional, informative, and interactive documents with relative ease. **What do you dislike about Echo360?** Every now and then, a bug or some type of glitch may cause my document not to work quite the way I want, but the support team is terrific, and I always receive responses and often solutions within 24 hours. **What problems is Echo360 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Inkling is helping the leaders at our organization create and build their own resources for their associates without having to engage a design team. For Jack in the Box, onboarding is critical. We're always looking for ways to optimize the process. We add checklists, utilize communications, and execute regular new product training for all of our field employees. Inkling offers great data integration, is forward-thinking in their product space, and completely customer-obsessed. They always ask for feedback and are willing to listen to our requests for product improvements. They are great partners. I can't speak highly enough of Inkling. **What do you dislike about Echo360?** There is some audience and role assignment limitation, so we would like to see improvements in that area. We have used it to record telehealth sessions in our clinic and to teach therapeutic skills in clinical classes. I've also used it to measure skill development. It greatly enhances the type of feedback I can give to my students. **What do you dislike about Echo360?** There are one or two downsides. For example, if you are recording video through a web conference call (e.g. zoom; which we use for clinical services) it will not record the computer audio if you are using headphones. We have tried all sorts of fixes, but haven't ever been able to get that to work. Unfortunately, the web conferencing doesn't always work very well either. Anytime I've had more than 3 people, we've had issues with sharing screens and people getting kicked out of the meeting. They make it little harder because I will have to create my own rubric from scratch. For example, I need to type score 1-5 with explanations. I will need to type each, but the platform itself only allow me to go horizontal way, not vertical while typing. It consumes my time to create rubric. I already had my rubric set up so I choose points over rubric. I want to have my rubric conveniently rather than making one there. First problem is that once I created an assignment, the “green” mark on top right corner when you completed your grades and it’s ready for students to see their works. It is automatically there, but I just created an assignment and it doesn’t mean it’s ready. I want it turned off once I graded so it can be ready for students to look at their works. I had to do it manually. Second problem is that when I want to look at other students’ work, it wants me to put score before proceed. I figured out so I have to skip score every time I looked at other students’ work. What benefits I have realized is not really much. It is just a standard platform for teachers to use it to assign students to show their video assignments there. I don’t see any huge benefits for me or my students. ### 47. I figured it out, but many of my colleagues had difficulty. Through trial and error I was able to create a "how-to" document that they could follow to upload their videos. **What problems is Echo360 solving and how is that benefiting you?** With COVID, this was a great way to have my supervisor participate in my evaluation without having too many people in one place. It is the only video that lets me give feedback while I see the stimulus the student is responding to while I see their response. Feedback can be given in multimedia formats, text, video, pictures, attachments, etc. I like the ability to add rubrics and badges to streamline feedback. I am really impressed with GoReact's willingness to add new features when requested by their users. **What do you dislike about Echo360?** The pay scale is reasonable for students. However, it is not adaptable to occasional use. I feel the cost is worth it if it is used for multiple assignments and assessments. However, I struggle to justify the cost when I only use it for one or two assessments in a semester. I wish there were an occasional use version for multiple courses in the same semester. If your university or institution buys a site license, then this will not be an issue. **What problems is Echo360 solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use GoReact for ASL teaching, ASL Assessment, and ASL Interpreter Training. We have fewer problems using GoReact than we did with solutions based in our local lab. We have enabled students to use ubiquitous technologies to accomplish what we previously were only able to do in the lab. We also simplified the student's workflow, reducing the time required by students to complete the same tasks.
