It is built on midPoint, the open source identity platform by Evolveum, and adds a business-facing workspace for access requests, approvals, access reviews and audit evidence. Access requests. Employees choose the application and access they need from a readable catalogue, using business names instead of technical group names, and explain why they need it. They can follow the request after submitting it. Approvals with context. The person who approves sees who is asking, what the access allows and why it is needed, together with the result of the policies configured in midPoint. Microsoft Teams can be used as an approval channel. Segregation of duties. easyIGA shows conflicts reported by separation-of-duties policies configured in midPoint at decision time, so a known conflict is visible before access is granted. Rule authoring and simulation inside easyIGA are planned. Access reviews. Reviewers see the person, the permission and the available history, such as last use and who granted and approved the access, where the connected sources provide it. Missing information is shown explicitly. Orphaned and non-human accounts. Accounts without a confirmed owner, including service accounts, are surfaced so that an owner can be found before the access is accepted or removed. Audit evidence. easyIGA records the requester and the captured approval steps for requests made through the product, and separates an approval from the confirmed result in the target system: verified, pending, failed or unknown. The midPoint foundation. midPoint performs identity synchronisation, policies and provisioning. Identity specialists keep full control of the midPoint configuration, while managers and employees work in easyIGA. If you stop using easyIGA, standard midPoint and your configuration remain available. Deployment. easyIGA is self-hosted by default, on your own infrastructure and in your own jurisdiction. An EU-hosted deployment operated by our team is available on request. Regulation. easyIGA supports the access-governance work behind DORA, NIS2 and CER: access requests, approvals, periodic reviews and an audit trail. Using a product does not by itself establish compliance. Migration. easyIGA and midPoint are a migration path for organisations replacing SAP Identity Management (end of mainstream maintenance in 2027) or Microsoft Identity Manager 2016 (extended support until January 2029).
