East-tec SafeBit is an on-the-fly disk encryption software designed to protect your confidential data by creating secure, password-protected virtual drives. These encrypted "safes" appear and function just like regular drives in Windows, allowing you to work with your files normally while ensuring they remain completely secure. The software works transparently in the background, automatically encrypting every file as it is saved to the safe and decrypting it only when accessed. This process utilizes the robust AES 256-bit encryption standard, as selected by the U.S. government, to ensure that your information remains unreadable to any unauthorized party, even if your computer or drive is lost or stolen. The integrity of your data is maintained at all times, with files remaining encrypted even in the event of an improper system shutdown or crash. East-tec SafeBit is a flexible and robust security solution that allows you to create encrypted vaults on local hard drives, USB sticks, and other removable media. For added convenience, these safes can be configured to open automatically at Windows startup. To enhance security, SafeBit includes features such as the ability to store passwords on a USB device to serve as a physical key, a panic hotkey that instantly closes all open safes, and a virtual keyboard to protect your password entries from keylogging malware.
