I started the 'recover lost data' option and after not finding anything it suggested to analyse the whole disk. Doing so I could spot what data was lost and what to do. I assumed my failure to recover the data was an absence of my understanding of how to use the software. The company was gracious in offering to do a screen share and provide assistance. Unfortunately, after approximately 2 hours of effort, the technician advised that because I had a solid-state drive the files could not be recovered. More unfortunate, I went back to the company’s official website and didn’t see any mention that the "expected recovery" of 99.7% would drop to zero %, if the computer had a solid-state drive.
