In less than an hour, I requested a refund of 80 dollars and kindly replied to another email where they asked me for reasons, causes, and explanations, and I answered them all, kindly and in good faith. The response was brief, "we deny the refund, read our terms and conditions." I find it very strong that a company keeps 80 dollars that they are paid and within an hour a refund is requested for a service that has not been used and that has not been useful, and in the end, they keep the money. I hope it doesn't happen to you like it did to me, because you already know what awaits you, money thrown in the trash. I assumed my failure to recover the data was an absence of my understanding of how to use the software. The company was gracious in offering to do a screen share and provide assistance. Unfortunately, after approximately 2 hours of effort, the technician advised that because I had a solid-state drive the files could not be recovered. More unfortunate, I went back to the company’s official website and didn’t see any mention that the "expected recovery" of 99.7% would drop to zero %, if the computer had a solid-state drive. Buyer Beware **What problems is EaseUS Data Recovery solving and how is that benefiting you?** Their software product was unable to recover our data as they advertised and as a result we obtained no benefit ### 3. After I did, the software recovered corrupted files. They weren't usable. I contacted support and they said there's nothing they can do about it and would not issue a refund. It was a waste of time and money for me. After finishing the recording of ten minutes i saw a pop up window giving me two options; either save only one minute out of 10 or buy the license to save the whole 10 minutes of recording! It's a scam to force you into buying otherwise you lose the recording that you've just made. Totally unprofessional. Their ad was good, and I believed it for a while and decided to try to recover my day of work. (Several years ago, on a different laptop, I downloaded a revocery program which worked great, but unfortunately, the laptop died. EaseUS was apparently NOT the program that worked.) **What do you dislike about EaseUS Data Recovery?** EaseUS data Recovery program did NOT work at all! I immediately (within 20 minutes) canceled and requested a refund, and the Cleverbridge people indicated that they would refund my money because the program did NOT work. It took me less than 20 minutes to verify that I lost everything. The program did NOT work for me. They refused a refund. The cancellation only prevents future renewal charges but does not give a refund. I would never have purchased a product so inferior if I had known that they do not stand behind their products. **Recommendations to others considering EaseUS Data Recovery:** Please do not believe their online advertising! After you click to purchase it, they will not refund for any reason if their product does not work. I bought it under the assumption I could get a refund within 30 days. EaseUS refused to give a refund as they claim they never advertised it could back up WSL2 files. So I consider this refund offer to be bogus and deceptive. I will never again buy an EaseUS product as I think they are a misleading, deceptive company. **What problems is EaseUS Data Recovery solving and how is that benefiting you?** I did not receive any benefits as their software was unable to backup WSL2 files. ### 10. The UX is not intuitive and it does not recover files in a useful way **What do you dislike about EaseUS Data Recovery?** Everything. The software attempted to recover files. It found 100's of copies of each one. To recover, I would have needed lots of TB of available space. And then I would have 100's of copies of each file. The software is useless. **What problems is EaseUS Data Recovery solving and how is that benefiting you?** A hard drive lost its data in a power outage. I was not able to recover my data. ### 11. But what's the point if it's unable to recover files from an SSD? **What do you dislike about EaseUS Data Recovery?** EaseUS data recovery software does not work if your deleted files were on a SSD (Solid State Disk). Given that SSDs are common in laptops and desktops these days, it was a big disappointment to me and a waste of money that I wasn't able to recover any files, though I was able to see their filenames. As the company later clarified in an email: "In order to speed up SSD, TRIM would totally erase the file content after it was deleted and it is impossible to recover the lost file with any data recovery software or service."
