Like, compound selection, flowsheeting. We can directly check information about the stream by clicking on each equipement in flowheet. **What do you dislike about DWSIM?** Mostly interface is friendly but more compund should be present and cost analysis option should be there in more detailed way. **What problems is DWSIM solving and how is that benefiting you?** I simulated ammonia synthesis process in DWSIM. It was very useful to get all information about mass and energy balance in the process. One of the greatest benenfit of DWSIM is its, free availability. ### 3. Review for DWSIM **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Chemicals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021 **What do you like best about DWSIM?** Ease of doing most of the complex simulations, physical properties can be found out which can come in handy a lot of times and the interface is very user friendly and easy to understan and being an open source is the biggest advantage **What do you dislike about DWSIM?** Often there are run time errors and the result displayed takes time **Recommendations to others considering DWSIM:** As a chemical engineer myself I would say that in this era of ever booming technology this application is a go to solution to your answers of how a plant would work like at different conditions **What problems is DWSIM solving and how is that benefiting you?** I carry out simulations of reactors, distillation columns,heat exchangers and different parameters can be measured at different conditions. ### 4. Quick to learn the tool **What do you dislike about DWSIM?** Sizing the tray and total number of tray calculations can be improved in comparison with Aspen. Additionally more simulation packages can be added for the ease, however i used the older version so I could have gone better. **What problems is DWSIM solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used this tool for distillation of azeotropic mixture of ethanol and water ### 5. For not very complex systems including liquid and gas streams (not solids), DWSIM works pretty fine, and convergence times are good. It has the functionality for steady-state mass and energy balances, and it is strong enough to examine required power and start-up states. ### 6.
