## Cisco Duo Reviews
  ### 1. Best MFA Solution on the Market!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben C. | Director, Network & Security, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

The push MFA capability on your phone or watch is great compared to using a token or sms verification. Duo Restore is also a serious time saver when you get a new mobile device and need to transfer all of your MFA tokens to that device. The ability to selectively enforce MFA based on location or other criteria is also loved by our end users. The admin console gives you great insight into the devices connecting to your network, OS versions, etc.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

We tried using the Duo Access Gateway as more of a SSO solution and it's ok but doesn't compare to other leading SSO solutions.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MFA across all enterprise accounts. This is eliminated much of the risk around credential phishing and account compromise.

  ### 2. Duo is not friendly

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

It’s easy to be able to verify so that is one thing that I absolutely love about this software and it’s accessible anywhere on your phone and your iPad and your computer so that makes it even better

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

The thing that just like the most is the fact that is such a hard app to get to work correctly it took three calls after work to call the IT department to be able to get this application added to my iPad the problem was it was in sinking so it was causing a lot of issues even when they removed it manually and everything I ended up having to go to the IT department personally so they could take a look at the problem was having and them to be able to solve it needs to be easier to use than that so complicated

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefit I realized as I don’t have to worry that if I’m using my account from work my outlook of my people solve my Krono’s don’t have to worry about it being an issue I know that I’m being secured by having to use a dual security application that is really heavy

  ### 3. Prevent your from potential hacking threats with Duo

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos S. | IT Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Duo Security offers further requests to the client, so that all of the two steps for authentication can be done. Also, it gives us the opportunity to authenticate iPhones. I would say the system is not very complicated and, even though we had small difficulties at first, the program can be specified at the whole level. Besides, customer support is very helpful for mobile software implementation.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

It offers excellent and insightful processes and reports on common platforms, but this causes you to feel stuck in attempting to use them with certain non-listed apps. Also, we programmed all our clients to work remotely, and we find that we charge for even more control permits than what we use for a given period of time. However, although its encryption proxy was not the simplest to incorporate into the network, after downloading it and operating with it, everything worked out great.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

Duo Security is suitable for large companies that want to add an extra security layer to a technical device, as it works as an internal or external support system. Consider the work is always best done when it is accompanied by a real-time analysis before the procurement of Duo Security.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our backup systems, we use it for authentication. It helps to prevent our business from potential hacking threats and strengthens confidentiality. Duo Security has multiple options for 2FA including attach, mobile and SMS. Clearly, the two-factor authentication is much easier for remote entry. There is a detailed and well-defined list apps that work with Duo Security.

  ### 4. Two-factors authentication to access your apps

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ana D. | Information Technology Staff, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Duo Security is very quick when it's working. It is as easy to use and the resources used to search for a QR code are relatively low and makes it a lot less challenging for competitors. When you think you won't have access to your mobile, you could create 2FA codes with anticipation. It allows you to set administrative regulations based on user preferences, where you can select which tools and software should be used.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

The mobile application does not perform well. It would be nice if it could be improved. Also, it would be great to add more native apps. It would nice if users could lower the license usage count for the 90-day period provided.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

Having a Cloud-based MFA is the most practical way of providing a wide range of cloud services, and being able to have access to it by using Duo Security is a real victory for a company. It is evident that further work on the viability of deployment must be carried out if you are going to be working with routers, security devices or even when software is not compatible.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Duo Security is used in our enterprise for protection using two-factors authentication and to provide access for an additional link with internal resources and connections to support services by any outside vendor. We use it in different systems via remote access, including VPN and SSO. It lets us reduce potential username and password undermining concerns and provides an extra security element.

  ### 5. Faster than other dual authentication software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2020

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

I'm able to login via dual authentication with just one click, so it was quite convenient.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

I had to download another app onto my phone. Sometimes, there's a lag before I am logged in.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to save time and feel confident when I login securely to my accounts. I use it to write clinical progress notes, and am able to access them faster with just one-click using Duo.

  ### 6. Increase your security while retaining your ease of use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason L. | Industrial IT Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Duo has excellent support for third-party applications so we were able to implement it throughout our many disparate systems, on-premises and cloud. One concern was adoption, but users incorporated this software easily into their workflows.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

Once 2FA authentication is enabled, it is difficult to have to deal with the situation where you lose your 2FA device. We have encouraged users to have backup codes so they can avoid too much pain should this scenario occur.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our customers depend on us to keep their information secure. This reduces our ability to use shared logins out of convenience since the login is tied to that user's personal device. This forces us to be more secure.

  ### 7. Quick and Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Duo is very easy to use. I like that I can validate using my phone, or apple watch to approve a login attempt, I like that I can (for some systems) remain logged in for 90 days, and I like that you can use it offline. That feature has been a life-saver on many a flight when the in-flight wifi was down. You can also have them call your phone, if you don't have cellular data turned on to enable push notifications, and then mash a few keys. Basically, the fact that there are 3 ways to authenticate and all take less than 30 seconds (and 2/3 take literally 2 seconds) is great. I've also never had any kind of issue with it, either when I used it as student, or later in the workforce at different companies.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

I don't have any real complaints - it did take me a little while to figure out how to find the "enter a code" feature but that was because I never did any kind of education or read any setup recommendations. It's still front and center in the app.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

It's super easy to use as an employee.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's made it quick and easy to use two-factor authentication. As a user, I hate security measures which inconvenience me, and this makes the process as painless as possible.

  ### 8. 2-factor authentication technique

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jimena J. | IT Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Duo Security is very good to use on various useful applications, like Windows products, Cisco and OpenVPN. It offers one the best-known password management technologies. With the callback feature, 2FA features are available even if staff do not want to put the software on their device. Sometimes, hardware tokens can be difficult or too profound, but Duo Security makes this incorporation very simple. It offers a solid method for the protection of delicate information, such as messages and cloud information, through 2 factor authentications. Also, Duo Security give customers the capacity to use a Push bottom, so the apps can appear automatically just to check and approve the mobile control key or not.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

We have had only one disruption since we've been using Duo Security, and it was solved in just an hour. So, I honestly have zero complaints about Duo Security.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

I am not thinking of a field in which it is not appropriate. It is great for a technological business, but it can also work with business without technical customers. For VPN access, this is especially useful.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When a computer is accessed locally or externally via SSH, Duo Security is used as a 2-factor authentication technique. It is used for full-time staff and suppliers throughout the company as well as for clients in some instances. It solves and simplifies a very common issue with VPN customers that now need to be authenticated with 2-factor authentication.

  ### 9. The Headache of 2-Factor Gone

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

I manage a young team that's notorious for losing and breaking their business phones. This has helped me sleep easy knowing that we're protected.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

I don't like that there's not a great alternative method for verifying when phones are lost. To mitigate this risk, I have my team sign up with a land line, but if they lose their phone/laptop while working remotely, answering their land line isn't an option.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

Make sure to split up your verification methods - don't have all going to one phone. Should you lose that particular phone, this will save you a headache. I have push notifications going to my work phone, but I also have a landline listed.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Compared to previous two-factor systems we used, this one seems to crash less. I am at ease knowing we're protected, should we lose or have our laptops/phones stolen. We work across so many systems, that the SSO has helped save time.

  ### 10. A bit annoying sometimes, generally fine

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stella N. | Laboratory Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

As we have valuable data on our company database, our IT team deployed Duo two factor authentication for logging in to systems. Push notification two factor auth. is so fast sometimes i think does it needs to be connected to internet. Also its duo dongle is useful when i do not have access to my phone. I keep it with my keys.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

I am sure it secures our systems but sometimes it is not sending me notifications when i try to login.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for logging into Nation Farm’s databases.

  ### 11. Security screening in an insecure world

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard H. | Scientific Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Multiple options for connecting securely into servers, files, email, computer, and vpn connection. Generally reliable and when there are issues, it's likely the network one's attempting to work and connect through that is the problem, rather than the portal software. Thus, it's doing what is it intended to do. Protect your IP.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

It is limited based on the number of licenses being used. When connecting remotely, one needs to reconnect when inactive. Although this is secure, a warning would be nice or at least a notice that the connection was lost or severed. In addition, it would be nice to know that the network is not secure and thus one will NOT be able to connect. In other words, I would prefer to know the network is suspect rather than trying multiple times for several minutes before giving up. I would rather know quickly that either it won't work and/or I should move to another network option.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

Although our current world requires this level of security, the inconvenience of connecting with Duo Security is not the fault of the software, but rather the need to be secure is inconvenient. However, one inadvertent breach, and the inconvenience becomes a log scale magnitude problem/issue and liability. Especially in a HIPAA compliant environment where patient privacy and confidentiality need to be ultimately protected.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Protecting access to files and data entry. Provide ability to connect securely and remotely.

  ### 12. It's a must

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ana D. | Academic Advisor, Higher Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

The app is free and it allows you to have various methods of contact when it comes to getting a hold of you

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

Hard to work with when you first download it into a new phone or tablet. Setting it up correctly can be a little frustrating

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

It can be a little confusing and hard to set up especially after switching phones. Make sure to contact your company's IT support so they can guide you to change settings.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While it solves the problem of security and avoiding any unknown log in into the network, it can also be a little of a hassle. Duo Security provides a safe and "simple" way to access into our PeopleSoft software when outside of the university's network. This prevents theft, and any other risk items.

  ### 13. Great until your main security device goes down

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Duo's push notification system of approving access is very easy.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

Cannot use another email address for authentication. There was a period of two weeks when my phone (main authentication device) was out for repair and I couldn't gain security access from home.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

Have a second authentication device besides your phone.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Duo is used by the University of California to improve secure access to university portals and emails.

  ### 14. Great, very secure 2-factor authenticator

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nico R. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Duo is very secure but at the same time easy to setup and use. I like that unlike with a random other system, my company's IT still has control over the login and can help me if I lose my credentials.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

Sometimes Duo sends two login prompts at once, making me confirm my login twice. I think this is a bug but it hasn't been fixed in the past months.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to Duo mobile my confidential work data remains safe and secure.

  ### 15. Extremely easy to use with multiple ways to connect

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

I like how easy it is to use. I can use my mobile phone to get access to my VPN two different ways. Using DUO allows you to push to your mobile phone to confirm. It also creates added security with its protection alongside Microsoft products.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

Hard to get started in understanding how to use it. Your organization should do training when rolling out the software.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting to our network remotely and easily. Not having to drop tokens every time. Now I only need to hit a button to approve. Other products don't secure against programs that associates commonly use. In this case - it really helps us stay secure with Microsoft products

  ### 16. Works Fine Past the Initial Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah H. | Account Director, Public Relations and Communications, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Push notifications are much better than receiving a text message and require a minimal number of clicks/taps

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

Setup was incredibly challenging without IT support

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

From a user perspective, I'm a fan given the push notification options.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I understand the need for dual authentication, especially when laptops are easily stolen, working for a global company where travel is a frequent, etc. It's a necessary evil, but Duo makes authentication rather simple - once it's set up.

Let's say you're prompted to change your password by your administrator or log out of your company's intranet. You'll be prompted to provide your password, and a Duo push notification will be sent to your device. Swipe to open the notification, and tap the green check mark. It's relatively easy, and much better than punching in a 6-digit code from a text (though you can go that way as well).

I appreciate the fact that Duo allows me to authenticate via both my work and my personal phone. If I don't have my work phone nearby, it's easy to log into Outlook web, authenticate via the same phone that's in my hand and view my meetings for the next day, for example.

The one thing I didn't like was setup. I traveled to another office the minute I started with my company, and found myself in a catch-22 where I couldn't set up Duo without my email and couldn't log into my email without Duo. The situation was easily resolved, but be aware that setting up Duo requires a bit of IT help and isn't completely self-serve.

  ### 17. If you want your account to be secured, you should use Duo Security

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in International Affairs | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

It is easy to use and allows me to secure my account from bad people. If you think you have very important information online, and you don't want others to hack your account, I would definitely recommend

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

The side effect of using this app is that if you don't have access to your phone(say your battery has died), you cannot get access to your account. But definitely the software is not responsible for this side effect. You will be fine unless your phone has a terrible battery.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

I highly recommend if

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

These days it is very important to secure one's information online. The hackers are everywhere. I had security issues before. Once I started using this software, i feel much securer.

  ### 18. Duo Security Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

I love that you can send push notifications for a phone or even my Apple Watch. It keeps the process moving much faster than having to submit a code via text.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

I wish that the login period was longer. I often times forget to check the box that will keep me logged in for 8 hours, so I wish there was more of a default setting for that reason.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

Opt for the Single Sign On option, too. It is a lifesaver!

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to use Duo to log into the ATS system we use, Microsoft Sharepoint and our Outlook. It is able to approve all 3 tools with only one sign-on. That part has been a small time saver, but just so convenient.
Single Sing-on has been much welcomed to our organization.

  ### 19. Easy to use and secure

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Duo is simple to use and makes my school account more secure. I feel comfortable using the software and feel that no one will be able to get into my school account. I have alot of secure information in there and Duo makes me more confident that it won't be shared.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

I do not like that the notification does not pop up so large on my phone. The pop-up notification is too subtle and sometimes I miss it.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes my school account safer and I feel more comfortable that it is more challenging to get into my account.

  ### 20. As easy as it gets.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shawn L. | IT Security Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Duo 2FA has been the best feature that we've implemented throughout the company. I can secure connections easily and with Duo Push we can manage end user access very easily. A company wide initiative is in the works, that will enforce 2FA for more of our day to day product usages. This will be made very simple through the use of Duo 2FA protection and as testing has shown, it should be spot on reliable to utilize.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

There isn't really much of anything I've found that I absolutely don't like. For the most part, the product is intuitive and simple to setup and maintain. One of the only complaints I have is that the portal can seem a little busy on the surface and somewhat difficult to navigate for the beginner. I've been using it long enough that I'm used to the work flow within the product but some of our new hires have found it to be a challenge.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

As always, configure everything carefully before implementation. The only thins we found was that we really needed more licenses to accommodate the growth we saw after initial implementation and also for the expanded protections applied for 2FA.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly 2FA for a multitude of protected systems. We have begun looking into expanding the MDM features for better administration of BYOD cellular devices. A move that we once attempted via another company but because of the requirements, failed.

  ### 21. Duo Mobile - Now I Can Sleep at Night

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jerry R. | Director of IS, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Duo Mobile provides 2nd Form Factor authentication in a variety of ways so it can be very flexible. Using an app on the phone, you can receive push notifications, you can receive a call from the system, or you can receive a text. Integration with the various systems was straightforward and simple for the most part. And where the integration was complex, Duo's support desk walked us through the process. Knowing that a bad actor now has to not only steal credentials but obtain the users mobile device information gives me a sense that we've done all we can realistically do. User enrollment and management is a breeze. And the best news, it's affordable protection.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

I honestly do not have anything about Duo that I do not like.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

If you have any form of remote access to your network, you need this product.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Duo Mobile helps us ensure the security of remote access to our network.

  ### 22. User friendly

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily W. | Nursing Care Assistant II/Health Unit Coordinator, ADV FP, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Ease of use and multiple different options for multi factor authentication.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

Sometimes it takes a while to get approved when doing multi factor authentication and it is annoying have to do all over again every 72 hours when your company uses it for access to everything. I would recommend making it save your information for longer than 72 so that users who have to use technology through duo mobile can access without having to go through the same steps so often.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Good security through private work information.

  ### 23. Easy two-factor authentification

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick R. | ETL Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

I really like the integration this security system offers with Apple and Android devices. Especially the Apple Watch. It is very easy to accept a push from your phone when you want to get into a secured system quickly. I also like that sometimes you can use a code produced from the app to get into a secured system.

The home page is also very easy to use and navigate.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

Sometimes I have to go into the app to actually make the push alert appear. Also, you have to unlock your phone to accept the push or it won't work. Also, if you don't have your phone with you, you have to have the password to get into your systems.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using this product to keep a firewall between the outside world and our sensitive property. It is a good way to separate what is not a secure system and what is. A benefit we have realized is that we are able to use this 2 factor security system really seamlessly with our password management product. It makes it really simple and easy to get into Duo in other ways beyond the simple push option.

  ### 24. Great tool for MFA

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett H. | Network Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Duo is easy to use for end users and a great add for MFA security.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

The timeout can be a little quick and take some time to get used to.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

This is a great tool for implementing MFA in your environment.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to add Multi Factor Authentication for added security for applications as well as VPN logins.

  ### 25. Keep your access safe with Duo Security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cate R. | Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Duo Security is an application and program that is easy to use. We believe it is the best for two-step authentication access. From the moment you install the program, its use is very simple and when you set it up in your pages or devices you only need to show the pop-up window with your unique code to be able to access your pages or applications. It is the best in terms of security it is about!

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

This program complies with what it promises and we really do not have anything negative to say about it, just make sure you have your mobile phone with enough charge so that you can access the application and therefore your pages with double authentication. And if you do not have a good network, it may be difficult for you to get the access code, for the rest Duo Security is a very good security program.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

If in your company you want to improve the security of your workers or clients who need to access certain pages or platforms that require the use of a password, Duo Security is the two-factor authentication program (or Multi-Factor Authentication) that you should use and recommend.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Duo constantly our workers and customers changed their password and thus be able to maintain the security of their accounts or pages with access, now since we use Duo Security the accesses and passwords are safer and can be conserved for a longer time. Finally mention that it also serves for third-party applications and personal use.

  ### 26. Two-factor security for accessing protected information

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Forrest H. | Medical Student, Medical Practice, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Our team's research utilizes protected information that only authorized users can access. Duo provides a simple mobile app synchronized with an online account that provides secure two-factor authentication. This method of secure authentication is reliable and fast.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

Duo becomes tedious for employees if companies require all websites to use Duo. If a Duo sign-in is required at every log in (rather than once every 12 hours or 30 days, for example), it might hinder rather than help.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

Administrators should be sure that only those applications or websites containing protected information use Duo. Become familiar with and use the options allowing for an extending login time without having to go through Duo again. These two recommendations will save employees a lot of tedious trouble using Duo.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ensuring that employees are accessing protected information securely and safely is made easy with Duo.

  ### 27. Great way of securing logins

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Toby A. | Graduate student and undergrad tutor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Due works seamlessly with our work login system to ensure two step authorization to log in to our accounts. The app works extremely quickly and also has back up codes if for some reason the linking isn't working.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

I have no found any negatives with duo.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

Very easy setup and easy to use.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has certainly made our login system a lot more secure. Facial recognition is required on phones that are capable of it, and these are needed to login on a computer.

  ### 28. Duo Security Review

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do not solve any problems but I do use the Duo security to login to my systems - Multi-Factor Authentication

  ### 29. easiest Mulity factor Authentication

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

Simple process to set a business account.
simple way to create sub accounts for the team
And very easy way to log into applications with it.
The option to use send me a push or enter pin code from the app is very good

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

Nothing at the moment, it has all what we are looking for.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

If you are looking for a way to keep your login online more secured then this is an easy way to use.
you will put your password then it will send notification to your mobile to approve login.
you won't be able to login without this confirmation on the mobile.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it internally to log into our used web sites to add extra login process to keep things secured as much as we can.

  ### 30. Increase your security mechanisms

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isaac B. | Director Of Information Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

It is a software that has a fairly simple line of learning, that helps you to understand the operation of the system right away.

Something very useful is that it eliminates the need to keep track of external network keys, the different passwords we have and other activities related to security and privacy. Duo Security allows all this to be integrated within your system and you do not have to be using and managing several applications for different aspects related to security.

It integrates easily with third-party applications, allowing you to integrate and manage various applications within your system.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

If you have a phone linked to the application and have a problem with it, it takes a while to restore everything on the new phone. It would be good to simplify the change of phone and to dump the information within the new one does not take so long.

Push notifications sometimes do not go well, may take a while or arrive several at the same time.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

Facilitating user access to the system and having more control over the privileges of each user accessing the system and the data entered in it is what this application provides. It is software that increases security in your company and control over your users.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having the 2FA authentication for our passwords and applications makes the data much safer. It is important for us the information we have within our systems and this software makes us more certain that it will not be lost.

The users that we have within our system also have much easier to interact and enter information within the system, since it is very easy to authenticate through this tool and allows us not to waste time using other applications. In addition, you can easily manage and grant permits to new users, you have a lot of control over what you can or can not do.

  ### 31. Though pricey, a very good 2FA offering

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fund-Raising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Easy integration with all of our applications. Having an Apple Watch version available as a client makes using is so very easy. New features being added regularly

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

The pricing is a bit high. We are basically using 2FA only from DUO but the Azure MFA is more or less free addition in the EMS offering.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

Compare all other vendors, you might have 2FA already available.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We (everyone actually) need 2FA for Enterprise applications on the web. Having is realized through DUO made it a lot more safer to publish our applications.

  ### 32. Great solution for 2FA

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve J. | Research Assistant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Unlike other 2-factor alternatives, Duo allows me to confirm logins with just a single button press. I don’t need to copy any codes back and forth.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

When I switched to a new device, Duo required me to confirm my switch with my old device (which didn’t work anymore). I had to go through IT to regain access. I hope they improve the migration process.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company uses Duo to increase security for our login process.

  ### 33. Log in reliably with Duo Security

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark M. | Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Duo is a program is an intuitive and modern program, very easy to install and use. Duo will allow you to use your free plan, manage 10 users at the same time, something that other programs do not have, besides, their payment plans for companies are excellent. In addition to allowing us in your free plan, administer 10 users at the same time, something that other programs do not have, also their payment plans for companies are excellent.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

We have worked with Duo Security in more than two years and it has been great and above all it covered all our needs. However we can say that sometimes automatic notifications do not arrive instantaneously if the person who uses Duo does not have coverage on his cell phone or device.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

Our company definitely recommend this program 100%, it is extremely complete, modern and integrates very quickly with other platforms. It is a program where you will find everything it promises in terms of security. If you want to maintain the security of your customers, workers, personal and business data, this is the tool for you and your company.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to install Duo Security easily in Android and iSO phones, also our clients and users could log in securely in their accounts. It offers comfortable prices in its plans. And it gives us alternatives to enter as text messages, pop-up messages and phone calls.

  ### 34. Duo security app

Doesn’t remember each time so I have to use continuously even within the same hour and session

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No text authentication just open the Duo app and click button accept to login

  ### 35. Has a good purpose but annoying to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

There are three different ways to verify your number: a push notification, a code generator, or a call. It's a great program if you need multiple ways of authentication, as it's very simple and use to use.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

If you don't have your phone on you, it's impossible to log in to an account. Also, the maximum number of days you can stay logged into an account is for 7.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

The push-notification on the iPhone is the easiest way to get authenticated.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to ensure no one can access my account at the university because I need to verify it through my cell phone.

  ### 36. Duo

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

What I liked best about duo is that it allowed for an easy process of implementing 2FA on internal applications at my company. It was easy to respond to pushes on mobile phone, and was easy for us to set up.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

It was pricey. We ended up recently switching to Okta Verify.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

DUO is easy to use, and a great choice when trying to implement 2FA for the first time. Our company experienced launching 2FA with DUO, and the process was smooth and easy, and easily accepted by employees for use in internal apps.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

2FA

  ### 37. Greatly Reduces Security Risks

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Easy to confirm identity when logging in and free to use as well.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

If you forget your phone at home, you'll have problems accessing your computer and programs.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It hinders the efforts of someone hacking into your computer or program. Upon logging in, a verification code is sent to your phone to verify that it is you logging in.

  ### 38. Super easy to install and use for 2 factor authentication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle L. | Practice Manager, RP®, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

This app is so easy to use and set up. I have multiple computers and websites set up so I can receive DUO authentication codes for many different programs. Easier than any other I have used.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

I don't see any downsides, this is hands down the best 2 factor authentication app I have used.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

This app is super easy to install and start using. You can use the q-scanner to automatically link up your programs and this is not a difficult task.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a highly secure office. We work in finance and all of our programs from email to financial software now requires 2 factor authentication and this allows us to do so securely.

  ### 39. The security that Duo Security has given us

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin K. | Consult, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Duo Security is a modern and intuitive tool with a very easy-to-use interface. Duo has made it easy for our company to use 2FA in several of our services, such as logging in securely, in addition to easily integrating with other services or third-party applications. Not to mention that you have a free plan where you can manage up to 10 users and other plans with excellent prices for companies.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

Duo Security has worked very well for a long time and has been able to cover our needs and we can only mention a small detail that can be taken into account, such as the irregularity of automatic notifications if the user does not have a good reception on the cell phone. For the rest, we do not have any negative aspect to mention, it is a good security program.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

We believe that we have nothing to recommend, it is a complete, efficient, easy, modern program to use, install and manage, complies with everything it promises and a program that we recommend satisfactorily.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped us to provide greater security to our users and customers of remote assistance with the 2FA for the start of session in a secure way, it can be easily installed in iSO or Android devices which helps us to cover a wide variety of users. They can be authenticated through push notifications, phone calls or text messages. And he offers us prices in all his plans.

  ### 40. Senior account executive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Very easy to use. It connects to your phone easily to authenticate with the press of a button.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

When you’re logged in and then go offline and come back online, it makes you reauthenticate but still remembers you had a session going, so it gets confused and makes you override the old session. The session should automatically end when you go offline.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

Instead of pulling up a code from your phone to log in, you can just type your password and then type “push” and a button comes up on your phone to authenticate. It’s much easier.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes my computer safer and makes it harder for someone else to access important information from my computer.

  ### 41. Best Security app for login

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sandeep K. | Senior Programmer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

The best thing about this software is that we can not login to our work station unless we pass through Duo Security. There is a mobile app for this which makes it easy to authenticate. We just need to tap "Approve" on the login request sent to mobile app. There are three types of login. One can choose any type based on their liking. One can login using passcodes, call on spot or just clicking approval system.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

Adding account to Duo is time consuming. I had lost my mobile phone and wanted to configure duo again to login to my work station. I had to wait for the administrator to add my account. If he was on a leave then it would have taken another day and I would not have logged in to work station.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

One must give it a try to if they want to secure their work stations. Will make work more. secure.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using this software it makes sure no one else login to our work station except the authenticated user. Benefit of this software is that it makes our work secure.

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

It's easy to use and works pretty well. The software is often used for two factor authentication. While logging on to the website, one has to enter both password and code that duo generates.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

If you don't have a mobile phone/it's charge is low and can't use it, there's no other way. Of course it's a secure way but no alternatives.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

Just keep it the same. It's going great.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logging in through VPN to my University internal server.

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

I love how secure and thorough DUO security is! DUO requires a “push” be sent each time we log in so that our systems are super secure.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

I dislike the fact that the DUO literally asks to send a push each time you log in to each system.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to keep all information secure within our company confines without paying absurd prices for the software components.

  ### 47. Great 2 step verification system

It’s easy; kind of like Google, you have a number of ways to login quickly.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

It does freeze periodically so it might take awhile for your notification to login a second time to come.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

I’d say it’s worth talking a look at, especially considering cyber attacks and if you have a large organization.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cybersecurity issues have been resolved, especially dealing with finances for a large group of people.

  ### 48. Easy and secure!

  ### 49. DUO authentication for MFA...it just works

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris S. | Director of Client Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Once a user has completed setup of DUO, using it for authentication to secured sites is easy and straightforward. The multitude of authentication methods available through the service ensures that even the most finicky of users will have a method they are happy to use.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

Initial setup can be on the complicated side for end-users. It's possible that our own implementation of the product has led to some of the setup difficulties we see for users, but setup still seems more cumbersome than other MFA authentication products.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

DUO is a reliable and effective MFA solution. I've personally used others in previous positions, and DUP proves to be far easier to use daily for end-users.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use DUO to provide MFA services for a wide range of secured sites and platforms.

  ### 50. Duo security is everything!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Because duo needs two factor authentification, I completely trust duo. I like the features to let me allow or deny the access. It is easy and user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

Restoring duo takes a lot of time. Plus, you have to log on to duo every single time which can be annoying at times. It will be harder for beginners who have not used two factor authentification before.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Duo:**

I highly recoomed duo for people who is looking high security and privacy.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am having hard time to keep my phone 24/7 next to me. I would prefer notifications push through emails.
