**What do you like best about D&B Hoovers?**

It shows company hierarchy, location address and industry all in one place. It helps me a lot during my work, because other systems/platforms don't have this all information in one place and I can't work with them (trust me I tried). I love the Expand all button in corporate hierarchy and also filter choices during search.

**What do you dislike about D&B Hoovers?**

I don't have any major issues with D&B. The only thing I can think of is that sometimes the industry categories are not the same as in our company system, so it makes it a little bit difficult to find out in which industry the company really works in.

**What problems is D&B Hoovers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For my work I need a lot of information about company I don't know.  Sometimes you may google those, but not all of the time. D&B helps me a lot with this problem and have all of the relevant information that I need in one place. Using this save me a significant amount of time during my work.

**What do you like best about D&B Hoovers?**

I like that D&B Hoovers has up-to-date data and the system is fast and smooth to use. I can easily view the corporate family, which is clearly and visually well presented. It helps me quickly understand company structures. Interaction with the D&B team is also very good, as updates or new company records are handled quickly.

**What do you dislike about D&B Hoovers?**

At the moment, I do not dislike anything about D&B Hoovers. The service meets my needs well and works as expected. Overall, I am very satisfied with the platform and the support.

**What problems is D&B Hoovers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

D&B Hoovers helps verify whether a customer really exists and if the information they provide during registration is correct. It allows me to confirm that the Tax ID belongs to the right company and to check the legal address. I can also see relationships between companies if they exist. This reduces risk and helps ensure our data is accurate.

I really like that they hey a large data set.

**What do you dislike about D&B Hoovers?**

The customer support is terrible. There are bugs that can cause you to lose contacts you already paid for. Their billing date changes almost every month, so you’re not really getting the full window to use your credits. With how the credits work, you’re really only getting about 75 leads per month, not actually 150.you will spend hours on the line with them

**What problems is D&B Hoovers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is giving me sum leads but it is more of a headache then its worth

**What do you like best about D&B Hoovers?**

There are two things I like about D&B Hoovers compared with other platforms. First, D&B can be considered a comprehensive database of business entities. Second, the support service is awesome. If I run into any issues, I can submit a ticket for an investigation request, and they will reach out to me the next business day. They also keep me informed about the progress. Most of the time, they can identify the issue and resolve it quickly.

**What do you dislike about D&B Hoovers?**

They upgrade the platform several times a year. During these upgrade periods, the system performance becomes very slow. Sometimes Hoovers is unable to generate any output for several days.

**What problems is D&B Hoovers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team uses Hoovers to identify a vendor’s business type through its NAICS code. This task was extremely difficult to complete before we had access to Hoovers. With Hoovers, the completion time has been reduced significantly, and the results are more reliable.

**What do you like best about D&B Hoovers?**

I like that the data is accurate in D&B Hoovers. When we used a list, there were very few email bounce backs, which shows the accuracy of the data. I appreciate that it's robust, providing the data we need on our members. I really appreciate the diverse data points, which are super helpful for grant funding by showing how many of our members are from diverse ownership. The accurate data points are also very helpful for marketing, as they allow us to target based on personas and size and revenue of an organization, facilitating better targeting of our marketing efforts. For new prospecting, having accurate data ensures we're not wasting time contacting people at the wrong contact information.

**What do you dislike about D&B Hoovers?**

There is additional data that we would love to have like EIN numbers on businesses. I also find it frustrating that I can't download certain data points like the year an organization was founded for a list. We need more exportable data. I'd also love to have additional diversity information, such as data on black-owned and veteran-owned businesses. There is no integration with our AMS system, so we have to do everything outside.

**What problems is D&B Hoovers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use D&B Hoovers to find small business leads and get accurate data for existing members, solving profile update issues and aiding in targeted marketing and grant applications with diversity data.

**What do you like best about D&B Hoovers?**

I believe that the number of features and ease of use are two of the better parts of D&B Hoovers. Specifically, I like how I am able to search for companies and compile a ton of useful resources that I use to supplement my work. Being able to obtain a 360 degree understanding of a company's business using information from equity analysts, the SEC, earnings reports, news articles as well as look at information regarding the business model, financials, competitors and key products are incredibly helpful. The platform itself is easy to use and I have had few issues. When I have had an issue, customer support has been very efficient in their helping and were communicative of what I can do to troubleshoot.

**What do you dislike about D&B Hoovers?**

The main downsides about D&B Hoovers is the lack of information on private companies and the sometime infrequency of updating equity analyst reports on specific public companies. I work with a ton of private-equity portfolio and privately-held companies and have found that D&B Hoovers is not the greatest in terms of the suite of information there is on these companies. However, with public companies is where D&B Hoovers shines. Although with analyst reports it sometimes takes months for new ones to be uploaded for user access.

**What problems is D&B Hoovers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am having to provide information regarding my clients to potential executives who may want to join the firm (or be sold on joining the firm). Due to this, I utilize the analyst reports, SWOT analysis, info on competitors, news and financial statements section to garner information and share a clear and compelling narrative to potential prospects. Without D&B Hoovers I would have a more limited ability to discuss great opportunities with individuals and I would know less about my clients which would hinder my work.

**What do you like best about D&B Hoovers?**

I find D&B Hoovers to be fairly cost-effective compared to some of the other competitors. It's helpful for uncovering contact data for executives at different target companies. Sometimes, it reveals directors and c-suite personnel that aren't mentioned elsewhere and provides accurate email and direct contact numbers. I appreciate that if you search by the website domain rather than the name of the company, you can access ten times the amount of contacts. The filters on the search are fairly robust and help narrow things down effectively. Additionally, the initial setup was quite easy and took just a matter of minutes.

**What do you dislike about D&B Hoovers?**

I find it really unfortunate that there is no history or search function for contacts I've paid to reveal their information. It's also frustrating that the credits expire month by month, which ultimately made me cancel my membership. The lack of a catalog for all revealed contact data over the history of the account is a major drawback for me. I also think credits should carry over and not expire so quickly. Additionally, contact data that is inaccurate should be credited back to the account.

**What problems is D&B Hoovers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

D&B Hoovers helps me uncover contact data for executives that I sometimes can't find elsewhere, including accurate emails and direct numbers. It's fairly cost-effective, with robust search filters that help narrow down contacts.

**What do you like best about D&B Hoovers?**

I like that D&B Hoovers provides comprehensive company data which is quite valuable. It also maintains decent contacts, notably for the CC. The initial setup was super easy, and the customer integration team was really kind. The instructions sent to our Salesforce admin were straightforward, making the setup process smooth.

**What do you dislike about D&B Hoovers?**

The Salesforce integration did not work for us. That was difficult to set up, and that's because we have multiple account and contact record types within our company to separate the different organizations that are part of our Salesforce systems. And that was the part that we were displeased with. Also, we found that it had limited contacts for the type of industry and the types of people that we could zone.

**What problems is D&B Hoovers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using D&B Hoovers, I could access comprehensive company data quickly online. It simplifies researching accounts and hierarchies, integrating with Salesforce for data viewing.

I like generating the 'hit lists' and being able to proactively scope out a company's financials and pre-screen assessment. It helps to save time and hone focus on target companies, avoiding wasted time with smaller businesses outside our target spend range. I appreciate how it aids in generating sales leads by searching via industry code and narrowing down target companies in specific geographies and company sizes. It functions extremely fast, almost like a 'networking contact' that identifies business opportunities in areas I might not have been aware of.

I sometimes find that the contact information isn't valid, so keeping up-to-date company contact info would be an improvement.

**What do you like best about D&B Hoovers?**

I really like how easy D&B Hoovers makes it to gather information. It's very intuitive and makes it simple to move from looking at a market to researching a company. It's an easy place to navigate to get the information you need. Also, the customer service has been great. If I have a question or if I'm not sure if the information is available, I can always reach out to customer service, and they get back to me in a timely manner.

**What do you dislike about D&B Hoovers?**

I think what could be improved is updated market reports. Some of the reports are over a year old or haven't been updated for two or three years. It would be great to have steady updates, like with IBIS, which consistently comes out with updated reports.

**What problems is D&B Hoovers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use D&B Hoovers for researching companies and industries, gathering information to make good decisions about markets and companies.

Provides the required information our company needs to set up new customers.

**What do you dislike about D&B Hoovers?**

The search feature on Hoovers could be easier to use. It would be better if the search feature were like the financial analytics D&B page.

**What problems is D&B Hoovers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company requires a customers tax ID, D&B number and SIC code when entering a new business partner. We also require this for the end user of our products who many not be actively involved in the sale. D&B Hoovers returns this information for us to allow us to complete customer entry without placing too much of a burden on the customer.

I really appreciate the filtering options in D&B Hoovers for filtering leads, as well as the accuracy of the company insights information. It's really nice to be able to filter by city, state, industry, and company size, which makes it easier to drill down to exactly what I need. The ease of use is a huge benefit too, and I found the initial setup to be 10/10 easy.

I don't like that some industry information is not accurate and there's no option to filter by employee-owned companies in the US.

Sometimes, the annual income shown is not exactly what my annual income was for my business. It would be great if the platform would give me a way to go in and correct those numbers.

**What do you like best about D&B Hoovers?**

I do like that they have a huge selection and that when purchasing a prospecting list you can get a lot of data in all industry classes.  They've been around forever so they have a huge database built up.

**What do you dislike about D&B Hoovers?**

On the flip side of what I like best is the reason I do not use them anymore and that is because the quality of the data is not good at all.  Contact names that have been deceased for 5 years or no longer with the company or retired for many years.  Companies are closed down or moved.  The data seems to be old.

**What problems is D&B Hoovers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to use it for prospecting new clients as well as for my marketing campaigns.  We would reach out to specific industries on behalf of our clients to schedule appointments for them to hopefully gain their business.  It makes it difficult when speaking with a prospect (once you find out who the real contact is) and you are confirming their information and its all wrong.

I like seeing company insights with D&B Hoovers. The integration with CRM is beneficial as it makes it easier to find lead information.

The UI/UX experience feels very cluttered, making it difficult to find lead information easily. It requires a lot of toggling between places just to get the information I need. I wish it was more like ZoomInfo, which is simpler and more user-friendly. For sales individuals, having something simple and easy to use is really important because time is crucial for us.

I like that there is a good filter to target domestic revenue within different industries. This helps us as an EMEA organization to segment certain regions allowing us to define market potential based on the companies their revenue.

The filters often reset making me have to do alot of manual clicking again. if I want largest revenue and then switch to a different industries/NACE code it goes back to employees largest to smallest.

I like uploading a list of DUNS numbers to match to companies. I also appreciate the company search feature where I can save and modify my searches. The initial setup was very easy, which was a relief.

I don't like the missing information at times. For example, we tend not to use the manufacturing status as a filter option because not all companies have that information provided, so some get left out of the target list. The contact search/information is also not very great or accurate.

D&B Hoovers is able to help immensely when doing a prospecting research regarding an industry or a company. You can set it up to give you updates on industries or companies you're following via it's triggers. D&B Hoovers also has the most up to date contact information for employees working at a company. I use it a couple of times a month. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to use. There is no implementation period as you'll be searching through the database of D&B Hoovers. The lists and reports exported from D&B are easy to integrate to your presentations and research.

The research functionality can get complicated. There are many perimeters that can confuse first time starters. It's always a good idea to get help and some training from D&B Hoovers employees.

D&B Hoovers is solving the issue of accurate and up to date contact information for prospecting. When we search for contacts from different companies who we would like to work with and provide services to, it's important that we have access to accurate information regarding their contact points. We use sfdc and have the D&B plugin. 90% of how I use it, is for adding contacts, which is quite convenient.

I find that the contacts sometimes tend to be out of date. I may add contact(s) and learn that they aren't in fact with that company any longer.

D&B is a good way to find new contacts within an organization to target, and easily add them to salesforce via the integration

I really appreciate how quickly I am able to access company information. I also value the in-depth insights provided, including comprehensive overviews of a company's assets, liabilities, SWOT analysis, competitors, and additional relevant details.

I constantly use D&B Hoovers to research companies. It's been incredibly effective and fits my needs perfectly. However, it would be very helpful to have the option to filter by year to identify new companies resulting from divestitures, spin-offs, mergers, etc.

Helps me determine territories, internal company threshold, possible disputes between suppliers, etc. This has been one of the best sources for finding what I consider to be my complete data point on each client, including useful information on different sectors.

How easy it is to navigate the system and the number of reporting features. I've been using the system for 5 years (at different companies) and will always try to get access to the platform. Extremely helpful tool in prospecting/verifying company information.

Probably the exporting feature. It took me some time to understand how to filter properly, but it's a great feature and I think it was user error more than anything.

Prospecting new leads and generating business opportunities for the future. My market focuses on SMERF within the hospitality sector, so this tool is a great asset when I need to find new leads.

I like how accurate the contact information found on D&B Hoovers is. I also enjoy the fact that you can extract lists from the platform to excel and so forth. D&B allows me to contact prospects that I woulnd't otherwise be able to contact.

I don't like that it doesn't integrate with our current CRM system, Quickbase. I also don't like that there is a price increase annually.

It is solving the issue of finding me contact information for prospects that I wouldn't otherwise be able to. It allows my sales team to generate lead lists directly from D&B.
