**What do you like best about dtSearch?**

There is a ton of functionality beyond traditional searches

**What do you dislike about dtSearch?**

Because there's so much functionality, it's also not super intuitive; you have to learn basically a mini coding language in order to use it

**What problems is dtSearch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

dtSearch allows me to search for terms or trends within a large volume of sensitive documents in many different forms

**What do you like best about dtSearch?**

This tool can handle large amounts of data and indexes quickly. Search results are very good and consistent, finding things that would be very difficult to search for in other tools. I work as a proposal writer and my group at a former company began using this back in the '90s, and never looked back. Far better search capabilities than any of the "proposal" software tools I have used, and makes them unnecessary for the most part. Handles most file types and will index embedded documents (and documents embedded in an embedded document).
Includes proximity searching, which is highly useful, including the ability to set proximity order if necessary. Also searches using Boolean constraints, RegEx, etc.

**What do you dislike about dtSearch?**

There are a few features I wish they would add:
1. The ability to turn off searching in embedded documents on a per search basis
2. Conceptual searching would be a nice to have

**Recommendations to others considering dtSearch:**

Get it. Inexpensive, but awesome piece of software!

**What problems is dtSearch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Much faster searching, and the ability to search by proximity are really great features. RegEx searching is also useful. I was even able to get it to run on my Mac using WineBottler. I highly recommend dtSearch!
