## DSP Reviews
  ### 1. DSP Explorer is an excellent Cloud Partner to use for full integration into the Google ecosystem

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Chemicals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2023

**What do you like best about DSP?**

Google Cloud Partner (DSP) had the expertise and knowledge to help our migration go smoothly and quickly. They were able to recommend how best to set up the databases and architecture in the new environment

**What do you dislike about DSP?**

DSP was pricey. However, I do not think they were more expensive than competitors, and they provided great value for the cost.

**Recommendations to others considering DSP:**

Do your due diligence and consider all the options out there. While DSP worked best for us, it really is a decision that is organization-specific. You need to evaluate your company's weak areas and determine whether DSP would help with supporting.

**What problems is DSP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DSP helped us to set up an architecture and data structure for building out our Google Cloud implementation. We were moving from an Oracle backend and needed help with the migration

  ### 2. A short review of Azure cloud support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about DSP?**

Azure cloud support provides support to any kind of issues related to the services provided by azure.
They provide 24/7 support but it depends of the plan which you have subscribed.
If you have premium support plan subscription then the resonsonse time is way faster & resolution is also fast.

**What do you dislike about DSP?**

The subscription plans are costly which is a blocker for the small organizations to afford the Azure support service.
For the basic plan it does not have any direct support, the user have to use the forum community, or the document provided in response to the query.
In a case of urgency the slow response time of the support can be a loss for someone.

**What problems is DSP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The azure cloud support is providing assistance to the Azure customers at free of cost for the basic support. It also have forums which helps the customers/ users to connect and find their query answers and support from community.

  ### 3. Excellent Platform for big and small Business

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dr. ROOPESH R. | Lead Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2023

**What do you like best about DSP?**

The inbuild AI and training modules. we are able to access to our data and use it in syncronised manner. As an educational insitute we have to save and retrive alot of data. Google cloud give us a single platform for the entire university

**What do you dislike about DSP?**

Nothing as such it is very robust and doesnot complicate things. we can make it handy enough to do storage and retrival of data. emails can be created and used accordingly.

**What problems is DSP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we are able to cater to all our data storage needs. We can create emails on a click of a button and all the data can be stored securely with administration rights. Data can be accessed on click of button

  ### 4. The Hacky Support System

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2023

**What do you like best about DSP?**

The time to resolve an issue is better given the same price we pay for both AWS and Azure. The faster the time to resolve, the faster the time to ship my product to the customers.

**What do you dislike about DSP?**

Although the support is there to help but looking externally at websites like StackOverflow for answers leads to more issues as Azure cloud is not as popular as the competitors.

**Recommendations to others considering DSP:**

Ask the sales team reaching out to you for a connect with Technical Account handling team and discuss your product and architecture with them to get a better review of your product and see if they are any good.

**What problems is DSP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been in touch with both AWS and Azure Cloud support team and can tell that Amazon has the advantage of bigger user base but Azure stands out with its faster time to resolve an issue. The problem I faced was with AKS cluster networking breaking apart.

  ### 5. Brilliant, trusted and efficient

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

It has multiple services and containers, and also supports MySQL. It solves most of the problems related to the cloud and provides a better user experience. I am having a good experience.

**What do you dislike about DSP?**

Finding the desired services is not easy, and starting an application and running it on the cloud can be confusing. However, after learning it properly, one can easily tackle the problem.

**What problems is DSP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves app hosting problems on the cloud and simplifies the process of deploying applications on the cloud. The interface is also good and easy to learn. Overall, it's good.

  ### 6. Azure cloud usage experience

It benefits users by resolving problems faster, maintaining high service availability, enhancing security, reducing costs, and increasing knowledge and skills.

  ### 7. MySQL in Azure - A recommended software application as a Database Engine

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tushar G. | Maintenance Engineering Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2023

**What do you like best about DSP?**

The best thing about this application is that it is highly available. Plus one can decide the cost of this software according to the memory/usage in a day/month/year. To monitor deployment as well as ease of management. As the deployment is available in 2 modes - Single & flexible which makes it more easily accessible.

**What do you dislike about DSP?**

Though the cost of the application can be customized as well as the user is concerned this application still costs a higher note as compared to its competition. As an owner/employee of an organization where one tries to reduce the overhead charges, this can cause low preference choices such as only for the cost. Rest, services pertaining to it is very good.

**Recommendations to others considering DSP:**

With the lower level of customization, the dynamic scalability with predictable performance, One can choose a maintenance window as per the schedule, The maximum restore backup that can be done is of 35 days. One can scale within seconds.

**What problems is DSP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In this application, one can rely on essential and important workloads for database service which is enterprise-grade security and designed for minimized customization. Otherwise, in other applications, cloud databases and high customization can be done which is not recommended.

  ### 8. Love and Hate

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darren E. | System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2023

**What do you like best about DSP?**

The best thing about Microsoft Azure services is creating Virtual machines, automation, backing up the full image or the server and being able to restore the full server or at the file level on any day I need. The infrastructure is (mostly) rock solid and don't have to worry as much as I do with my local data centre and local hardware.

**What do you dislike about DSP?**

Some simple tasks that are easily done locally can be frustrating as you don't have full control over Azure resourcing. For example, Our VMware local servers we can just add say 4GB extra memory, with Azure you have to select a pre-config server which also doubles the CPU, changes the size of the disk and changes the prices accordingly.
Another annoyance is still things still/are unfinished and don't get you full access. Also, we have serveral servers in classic mode, which (now) is expiring in Sept 2023. The migration tool doesn't work (we had a couple of MS engineers working on this too). So now we have to move eight complex servers over to a new ARM Server setup, setting up everything manually and losing our external IP''s which one is our main mail server. So giving us 3-4 months of extra work migrating 12 domains and thousands of mailboxes and configurations on 170 application servers.

**Recommendations to others considering DSP:**

It's hard to fully recommend Microsoft Azure as there are pros and cons. It's easly and hassle free (at times) creating services and resources, but frustrating as with PowerShell, nothing works first time, giving you countless errors.
The prices of Azure are really high too, compared to local hosting, but you are less stressed as their infrastructure is far superior due to the amount of money they can throw at Azure.

**What problems is DSP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been using Microsoft Azure services for the past 6 years, and I have a love-and-hate relationship with it. The simple side of things I love, creating a Virtual Machine in a few minutes would take 4-5 days if I did it the old fashion way (Local hardware, local Datacentre etc..)

  ### 9. Good cloud platform to provide best solutions

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2023

**What do you like best about DSP?**

It's flexibility to work with that fulfill our organization needs.

**What do you dislike about DSP?**

Cost is high for some related services that can be reduced.

**Recommendations to others considering DSP:**

It's easy to use. Best tool for many business solutions.

**What problems is DSP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving the problems like cloud data management, data analytics and many more.

  ### 10. Generous Always Free Tier for Small Businesses

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vinay T. | Digital Design Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2022

**What do you like best about DSP?**

Along with the boot volume of 10GB, we are able to attach and persist a block volume of up to 150GB which is more than enough for our current requirements. We also like how Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, in past 2-3 years have been adding variety of shapes and images to be used for VPS. We also like that we are able to use both AMD and ARM cores simultaneously in the free tier.

**What do you dislike about DSP?**

Oracle Cloud doesn't have affordable, decent SMTP relays and Email solutions. This one thing AWS does the best by offering up to 50,000 emails per day for free with up to a 40MB attachment limit per email when you request their support to extend it.

**Recommendations to others considering DSP:**

For those considering using Oracle Cloud for the VPS solution for web applications, please go for arm-based Ampere 1 VM instances with the configuration of 4 cores and 24GB RAM (although you always have the option to add more resources) if your application supports arm-based processors.

**What problems is DSP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are no costs associated with Oracle Cloud's Virtual Machine (VM) instances with arm-based Ampere 1 cores, which are perfect for smaller infrastructure requirements. We have been hosting a VPS on one of the instances that has 4 cores + 24GB of memory which costs us nothing.

  ### 11. Oracle cloud is for Oracle DB customers

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2023

**What do you like best about DSP?**

OCI uses terraform for maintaining the infrastructure state. Terraform is known for best infrastructure provisioning tool in the market. Its opensource as well.

**What do you dislike about DSP?**

Unlike AWS and Azure, OCI have very limited services.

**Recommendations to others considering DSP:**

If you have many oracle products running on onprem data centers, i would recommend to consider OCI . Many uses case, we leverage OCI for back vault for storing third and forth backup copies.

**What problems is DSP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Oracle cloud infrastructure is very beneficial if you have oracle database on your environment. OCI has backend exadata environment which can help to reduce the capex & opex by migrating to cloud.

  ### 12. The simplest way to begin your cloud journey - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sudip G. | Information Technology Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2022

**What do you like best about DSP?**

The upsides of using the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure are :
1. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure provides an end-to-end solution for business users and developers, in this on-premise to cloud journey. Their expertise and experience with Oracle products are two big assets you can have on your side.
2. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is completely compatible with every Oracle product be it Applications or Databases. This ensures that there is no need for any code change for the migration of these applications and databases to the cloud.
3. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure also supports non-Oracle products seamlessly. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is best suited for Financial applications.

**What do you dislike about DSP?**

Things that need improvement are :
1. The support for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is not up to Oracle's standard. For multiple incidents we found it challenging to complete or resolve a setup-related issue on time.
2. There is a clear lack of Technical know-how/documents about the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in the public domain.

**Recommendations to others considering DSP:**

If your organisation is reliant heavily on Oracle ERPs and databases then Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is the best fit. But before making this decision beware that Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is still nascent and is evolving compared to its well established cloud providers. Another big positive is that Pricing is comparatively low compared to other cloud service providers.

**What problems is DSP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure has helped us migrate all our applications from on-prem data centres to Cloud. We were looking for a partner to help us with this project. The total cost of managing the data centre was increasing sharply. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure helped us design, implement and support the entire cloud migration projects. The technical benefits that we observed are - Free load balancing, a flexible consumption model, and 10 TB free internet data ingress. The fast secure and optimized migration helped us optimize our infrastructure costs, and increase system performance. The system availability has increased instantly, with zero or minute system downtime.

  ### 13. Review for Azure Cloud Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2023

**What do you like best about DSP?**

Good support system with detailed step and quick turn around time

**What do you dislike about DSP?**

It need to upgrade and optimized for large system and data.

**What problems is DSP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped us in migration to cloud smooth and easy with all necessary support required

  ### 14. Simplify your cloud infrastructure & security with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Subrata G. | Technical Lead, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2021

**Describe the project or task DSP helped with:**

OCI services and features that are really helpful to us are :
1. High availability of the OCI platform. Since, we have moved our applications and database tiers to Oracle cloud we didn't have a single moment of service outrage. The cloud services are reliable and available 24x7 throughout the year.
2. Helped us in managing and reducing our IT infrastructure costs. OCI cost tracking allows us to use tags to track and manage our OCI tenancy bills, also we create and monitor budgets. The budgeting feature and cost tag are two core tools of our cost reduction.
3. Oracle support is a blessing to clients like us. Oracle offers class leading support. We are assured that, if some mishap happens, the Oracle support team is there to save us.
4. The OCI console UI and dashboards for OCI admins and other users are very intuitive. Not too complex, very easy to get started with.
5. Since it is an Oracle product, integration with other Oracle services and products are very easy and free from hiccups.
6. Scalability is a great flexible element of the OCI. When our OCI hosted applications demand more CPU, we increase the CPU cores, and during off load periods we scale down the CPUs, thus managing performance as well as the cost associated with it.

**What do you like best about DSP?**

Upsides of using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure are :
1. We host Oracle enterprise applications on Oracle cloud. The Oracle application performance has increased many folds since we migrated from On-prem to OCI.
2. Free certifications and training by Oracle. Unlike its competitors, Oracle provides free OCI courses and also free certifications.
3. Zero downtime during security patch applications. The hot patching feature of the OCI helps businesses sustain operations even during patch applications. Earlier, the entire application needed to be brought down then apply the patch.

**What do you dislike about DSP?**

Things that need improvement are :
1. The OCI pricing and billing are suited more for large organizations. OCI billing is unsuitable for small and mid-sized organizations and startups, suggesting these organizations avoid using it.
2. The OCI training is made available by Oracle, but these are more sales-oriented pieces of training that lack technical depth.
3. The Oracle support gets a bit clumsy when you have multiple open tickets. The support is reliable, but other cloud vendors are providing support much faster than Oracle.
4. It lacks the flexibility and integration capabilities like many of its competitors. Other cloud infrastructure vendors offer much more third-party integrations than what OCI is currently offering.

**What problems is DSP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We help businesses to move from the IAAS model to the SAAS model. We lift and shift IT infrastructure from on-premise to the OCI cloud. We use the Oracle archive storage for data warehousing from our Production DB for compliance purposes. The load balancer in the OCI console can be programmed, which is an enhanced feature of the OCI. Since we scale up or down depending upon the resource requirements of our databases and application, we have reduced our operating costs.
