We use it to back up all of our endpoints. It's not too difficult to administer, and our backups are stored securely in the cloud - eliminating the need for tapes, which was a big win for us. We also can control backup schedules, legal holds, and other settings via policies. The regular reporting and alerting capabilities help our teams address issues as they arise, which helps ensure all backups are working correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Druva Data Security Cloud? There is a small DLP component with Druva, but I think there is an opportunity to use the Druva agent for a more comprehensive DLP reporting capability. The agent is aware of all of the file activity on the endpoint, I would imagine, so why not have better reporting on the file movement and where files are moving? The biggest problem we solved was not having an easy to manage, automated solution for backing up our endpoints. It takes long and you cant instantly upgrade a client from the console, it goes into a que which can take weeks to updgrade. If youre lucky It just works, you literally set up the jobs and leave it. Pretty much how any backup solution should work. The portal has ADFS support! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Druva Data Security Cloud? The UI and Web portal is by far the worse I have ever seen, its so bloated and unorganised its very easy to get lost. This goes for tech support engineers and is amusing when watching them trying to find a menu option during a zoom support call. Over the years of using this there have been a handful of bugs that have stopped backups. Internal comms does not seem to exist among the druva engineers. After x amount of time an engineer who knows about the bug or solution will magically appear to fix it. There has been two instances of poor release management which resulted in a version being released which ended up killing the backup system. The support model is like flipping a coin, when you log a ticket sometimes they will try contact you via any means possible. Other times you are stuck in a horrible scheduling system which means you will not get any engineer slots and just have to wait. Operations you perform in the system such as delete will often result in Druva engineers automatically logging a call, contacting you asking if you have pressed delete by accident. We needed a backup product that could backup cloud VMs and Druva ticks that box. There are no real additional benefits apart from it being in the cloud as we were a big Veeam user. How easy it is to manage through the web portal. The cloud portion of it makes it great that we don't have to host anything and it all can be easily managed just by logging in. Also it is fast and up to date. The support and implementation team have also been great. Our account rep Daniel Rodriquez has also been fantastic and has always made sure we have everything we need as a customer. What do you dislike about Druva Data Security Cloud? I wish you were able to be more selective about what to back up on the workstation. It seemed a little difficult to put in logic around what files should be backed up and what shouldn't. Besides that I think it is very user friendly and makes it easy to manage everything. We recently had an employee's machine wiped too soon and we lost critical data. This wouldn't happen again with inSync since we would know have that machine being backed up and would have a restore point in the cloud even if it was wiped physically. Also we have one workstation that we essentially use as a server to host a very small application. Since we are not able to back up this workstation with Phoenix due to it not having a server OS, we can use InSync to back up this workstation and can use this to restore the application should it crash. "Excellent VMWare backup solution with tested restore process" 4/5 What do you like best about Druva Data Security Cloud? I specifically use Druva for VMWare vCenter, though it can also be used without vCenter, i.e. directly on ESXI hosts. I like the simple and straightforward setup of Druva proxies. The restore process is not perfect but pretty close (much better than other solutions). Druva also offers the ability to use multiple proxy VM's for increased redundancy. The cost if obviously a fairly big pain point for some organizations.
